Very very proud of him. Sometimes, people usually wonder themselves how to get inspiration to do this thing, that thing and then they waste time spending such a lot of stupid thoughts day in and day out. The best thing is finding deeper feeling and understanding, committing ourselves to get down to what we intend to do. So inspirational, thank you so much, guy, thanks for this video, one of the most motivational videos I have ever seen.
Very spiritual man living in the Now. Past is not there anymore and future hasn't happened for him. It's the process of doing it and being completely in the moment.
This video left me without words! It is beyond words! MAGICAL! So happy that I have seen this beautiful man and his astonishing, beautiful, magical, dream art. It is unbelievable beautiful, as the soul of this man.
WHY does it have to be an 'environmental project'? Why can't it just be cool? Or beautiful? Or incredible? Or awesome and wonderful? But no. It's got to somehow 'raise awareness' of... something. It's alright just to love to do something and it's alright to appreciate art - for the sake of art. It doesn't have to mean anything other than, 'this is really nice'. Art doesn't have to have a 'cause'. Just dig, dude. I can dig it.
Why can't it be an environmental project? Here is a man interacting with the environment in which he lives, taking great joy in the natural beauty that surrounds him, and to me that is incredible. Can't we let the artist project his own interpretation and enjoy it for what it is instead of trying to change it and put it in terms we feel comfortable with? He wants people to recognize the beauty that we can found in our natural environments, and I, for one, appreciate that intention immensely. Have a great day dude.
I agree. When did art, music, etc start to need a social cause/message to exist? Malarkey. Something can be beautiful just to be. It doesn't need a political/social reason.

+MrSlowestD16 At the start he straight up calls him a "man obsessed" despite being corrected by the guy almost immediately after that. Saying that he "He sees himself as a 'magician' playing with space both big, and small." may not be patronizing, but it was a poor choice of words imo. I highly doubt that the guy used the word "magician" when describing himself. Overall the reporter did do a good job. I would have liked to hear a bit more about how the guy feels about the realtor selling his work for so much despite only wanting to be paid $12/hour.
So, some leeches who had nothing to do with these wonderful caves are going to profit a million off of his hard work and he's not going to see a penny of it?
I agree, why couldn't this reporter come up any questions, as to why he's being cheated out of ANY that under of a million dollar sale? Or at least go to some other sources for the information. If you ask me, it just sounds like poor journalism. I've never heard of such a thing before, it's this man's life's work and art after all. It's not right.
Kewpa its not about that but simply presenting us here the story that another guy makes money with his work seems a lil bit disturbing as there is no expl. why so. Does the property belong to this guy no etc!?
Sharon Anne Hill Yes, the guys are selling caves they paid Ra to make them. But without them the caves did not exist. They believed in him. Without them taking the risk to pay him a salary and give him the resources, he would never been able to do this.
By paying him only $12 something an hour and then getting nearly a million in return on their so-called investment? Give me a break! You support that too?
The man has Zen in spades (no pun intended), I love the way he's just gone out into the sticks and done it, If I had land like that in my country I'd be out digging myself a piece right now, inspiring stuff.
The hills were formed many thousands if not millions of years ago. The only thing that will destroy them would be if the desert climate suddenly became something similar to the pacific northwest.
+ElectricAfroMan only water or mankind will destroy them. so.. pretty much eternity. eventually theyll fill with sand and some alien civilisation a billion years from now will find them and think we were.. more than we are
A couple thousand yrs from now, they will look art these caves and wonder who did it and how. They will say it must've took at least 1000 workers and many man hrs to complete. Dedicated to those from the sky that came. lol This guy is awesome though.
Absolutely beautiful. I would never have heard about him if a frend hadn't sent this link. He should most definitely get credit , if nothing more than a plague that said who dug it and when. Don't want people 200 years from now thinking it was dug by ancient aliens. Kudos to the man. He is truely an artist.
Loving the fact that he has left the world behind to pursue happyness. This should be ranked as an eight wonder of the world, because it is carved out by one man, and its a methaphor for the power of comittment and the skill of the human body and mind.

If you ask me, it just sounds like poor journalism. I've never heard of such a thing before, it's this man's life's work and art after all. It's not right.
Exactly what they are, leeches, turning beauty and art and wonder into a business investment. Fuck the market.
Thank Isabel for beautiful video!!! Very interesting!!! Impressive video!!! Fantastic!!!
Warm greetings my friends!!!
Best regards!!!
who does the property belong to? How can the seller get all the money???
+bhumanecate belongs to the seller. he paid the guy to dig the caves
+ElectricAfroMan Thanks. I get it....he was paid $12 per hour to do it.
This really helped me understand what passion really means. I'll be working on my dream.
Im stoned as a motherfucker, and this is just fantastic
+Sergeant1990 I'm just a little bit stoned, but I still love this :)
This man is a living wonder. He deserves more than what he is getting.
What a beautiful story! Wish he got some of the money from the sold ones...seems unfair that the "seller" gets it all when he's the creator.
Admirable!!! It requires a sense of outlook into the very nature which draws passion to carve such astonishing sculpts
How does the dog live for 25 years?
+kkostas86 Was looking for this
+kkostas86 Never even noticed that, but great point. Must be a really healthy and well cared for old dog, I guess.
+kkostas86 Broken Sword! :)
Same question lol, did he get a new one?
The man has Zen in spades (no pun intended), I love the way he's just gone out into the sticks and done it, If I had land like that in my country I'd be out digging myself a piece right now, inspiring stuff.
anyone have an idea how long the sand stone will hold up?
The hills were formed many thousands if not millions of years ago. The only thing that will destroy them would be if the desert climate suddenly became something similar to the pacific northwest.
+ElectricAfroMan only water or mankind will destroy them. so.. pretty much eternity. eventually theyll fill with sand and some alien civilisation a billion years from now will find them and think we were.. more than we are
So inspiring!!!
Ra Paulette is definitely an enlightened person.
from where did electricity and water come therer?
Did he use water pipes in walls of cave and electric wiring In those switches ?
Extraordinary story! Such masterful gorgeous work. Watching him scrape and carve however, I hope his lungs are ok with all that dust.
Даже не верится, что человек в одиночку может такое сотворить !
INCREDIBLE!!! Very inspirational - one person can make a huge improvement to our world. Real Sculpture by a real artist.
Clearly this reporter has never experienced the fun of Minecraft.
Loving the fact that he has left the world behind to pursue happyness. This should be ranked as an eight wonder of the world, because it is carved out by one man, and its a methaphor for the power of comittment and the skill of the human body and mind.
Тalent is the most important, not the diplomas obtained in expensive colleges that will make you bound for life after graduation,as in USA for ex.
Actor Jim Carrey, fashion designer Ralph Lauren,Walt Disney,Tom Hanks, president of USA-Abraham Lincoln and many others are proof that this theory is right!
By the way,I have a degree from the Faculty of economics-Management and corporate governance...
one of the rarest moment in my life. Yes, I'm Amazed. You spoke right to my heart. some rarest situation were words become worthless...!!!
4:00 Why he lets him sell it and don't get any comission from it ? That's fucking bullshit ! Do not let anyone to use your hardwork even though you don't care about money !
I found not only a sense of wow watching this - but oh that feeling of peace just looking at the footage of this amazing work & place. I can't even begin to imagine the feeling being there in person ! What a passion to have been able to create such a heaven on earth !
There is another cave in Yerevan, Armenia, 21 meters deep with 7 rooms, digged by one man during 23 years with hammer and chisel in basalt. hetq.am/eng/news/20953/levon-arakelyans-miracle-cave-in-arinj.html
It's amazing. He should be made famous by advertising on TV. It's fabulous. Mind blowing
yeap. that guy found enlightenment.
so wonderful, it takes my breathe away and replaces it with tears.
He needs a wicked dwarf beard to top off those cave skills.
Wow, I love this man and his work. Such a beautiful human being.
the taliban is gonna try to hire him for cave designing
It really is an incredible breathtaking work of unending art…
I love his style and masterful touch
Would love to visit and never leave ❤
zapomněl jsem dýchat

Like a gigantic Vagina.
+Mikael Rennerhorn the entrance certainly, then it appeared to be deep inside the body
+Mikael Rennerhorn Shit, if life in the womb was like this then why did I move out? I want a damn waterfall in my house and every wall to be psychedelic art!
Amazingly beautiful!! The Michelangelo of our day!!
