I have a question for you about Xylitol then, is it also toxic to cats as well? I don't have a dog but I don't know what I would do if I lost my cat. He refuses to eat people food anyway, but just in case. Thanks in advance!
@@visionhawk4403for some reason xylitol causes insulin release in dogs so basically they get severe hypoglycemia and then they go into shock which can cause liver failure in dogs specifically. This process doesn’t happen in cats, so it just causes some stomach upset (which can also get out of hand if you don’t give them proper support but its certainly not as much of an emergency as in dogs)

@@visionhawk4403If you ever need to get a medication for your cat from a people pharmacy instead of directly from your vet, make sure there's no xylitol in it. Gabapentin, for instance, is given to kitties sometimes and most manufacturers use xylitol as an inactive ingredient

The Xylitol shit is so upsetting, because it is in *SO MUCH STUFF.* Our dog swiped a piece of nicorette gum once, thankfully I'm very perceptive when it comes to my pup's mischief, and also aware that Xylitol is poisonous to pups. So we got it from her before she could actually swallow it. But EVEN JUST LICKING THE SURFACE OF A XYLITOL PRODUCT CAN BE DEADLY. Just getting her teeth on it for like thirty seconds (most of which was actually spent running away from me because she didn't want me to take it from her) caused enough of a poisoning that she vomited (on her own, did not have to be induced) and needed to be watched. She was fine and didn't need to go to the vet, but it was a scary moment. If your dog has something in their mouth that has xylitol in it, call poison control, watch for vomiting, watch for their pupils constricting (pin-needles), put a little dab of honey on your fingers and swish it around their gums for a second (prevents hyperglycemia), and if there's ANY chance that some was ingested go to the emergency vet immediately.
Also in an entirely crappy move, some companies are using alternative names for it to make it sound less “chemically”. So watch out for things like wood sugar, birch sugar, and birch bark extract, because they’re just xylitol…

In an emergency, if your dog has eaten something they shouldn’t have, a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide will induce vomiting. We had an emergency once where we couldn’t get our dog to a vet fast enough and the vet told us that over the phone. This only works if they haven’t digested enough for it to be toxic, and of course always get to the vet as fast as possible, but it’s a good thing to know about for those absolute emergencies when puppy got into some sugar free gum at 11:30pm.

Your PCIe slot breaking is probably due to GPU sag. Get a support bracket for it or this will happen again. There's a reason those slots started coming with metal support structures, and now they're so big they'vr outgrown even those. The bracket will be like $20-30. Maybe a little more if you want Gamer Lights on it. Just make the investment now instead of surprise pain later. Also, always remove your GPU before transporting the PC, even if just to another room. Not worth the risk.

the trend of hyper fast editing needs and increasingly rapid tech development is a saddening reality for a lot of people who wanna get into content creation. I even met some folks in the world of philanthropy who get critiqued on their videos in the same room as the producers - and this same woman who was trying to learn premiere on her macbook, was actively looking up tutorials on youtube on how to edit (but also couldn't edit with sound - because everyone in the room was so annoyed that their airpods weren't working) . It's been 4 months since a GF review and I'm going into withdrawal.

Personally I prefer quality over quantity but if you want daily uploads of garbage filler there are literally thousands of UA-camrs doing that

Let's face it. Channel kinda fell off since the marriage. Content has lacked the heeart despite the stronger editing (likely a symptom of the algorithm), livestreams have been boring and super surveillanced by mods, and now posting nothing burger videos with click bait titles?? Hopefully the classic GFR comes back before any kids arrive.

Set your CPU to an all core frequency on the p cores and e cores and undervolt.
My 13900KS is so degraded from out of the box settings that i couldnt even update my Nvidia drivers. it would fail immediately. Setting an a core frequency is the only thing that would fix it. Tried bios and microcode updates, reinstalling windows, the new baseline profile that neuters CPU performance. Still unstable.
Doing that will at least prevent it from degrading
"Upgrading" to a 14900KS after having stability issues from a broken motherboard is quite a poor choice... apparently Matt didn't know.
@@looks-suspicious it's not his fault. Intel has historically been the go-to company for stability and a lot of production software is faster on Intel especially with the magic of Intel QuickSync. AMD has always had great price to performance but up until relatively recently there's been an acceptance that AMD could come with some quirks moreso than Intel. I've gone back and forth between Intel and AMD and went back to Intel's 13th gen after having a ton of weird USB issues with X570 and the 5950X caused hitching while gaming on certain titles thanks to the latency issues of the infinity fabric between dual CCDs. All hitching went away as soon as I disabled a CCD and ran on 8 cores instead of 16.
Even after all of this I'm not sure what I want to do with my next platform. I really like Intel's big.little platform as I run some media servers on the e cores while gaming on the p cores with a negligible performance impact especially compared to a dual ccd AMD chip. Intel's ring interconnect is significantly lower latency than AMD's infinity fabric since AMD's chiplet design causes a physically longer interconnect than Intel's monolithic die.
I'll probably just finally bite the bullet and build a second system for the servers and go with the 9800X3D whenever it comes. Having a CPU degrade after a year has put a bad taste in my mouth especially since this is the first Intel chip I haven't overclocked. It ran so hot out of the box that it wasn't worth it and the funny thing is every CPU I overclocked to the point that I hit either a thermal limit or an arbitrary 1.4v voltage limit is still kicking.
