Yeah like them people really love to hate on sonic and keep dick sucking on mario and i love both mario and sonic there ups and downs and also giving cod perfect scores 😑
I've never played anything other than the original Sonic, but I feel you there. I saw a compilation video of IGN and their Sonic reviews and my god 😭😭😭
When I was about 18 years old I got to make Movie Review articles for an Argentine based page known as Cinéfilos. Literally the very first thing they said to me was: In journalism, there’s no “Me, personally, I think…” etc. It’s all about “We”. It’s worrying that people at IGN are literally representing the brand, and still making things about themselves. Research is KEY, and nowadays is easier than ever, but they seem to always go from personal knowledge/experience, completely ignoring valuable information from fans, forums, official sites and trustworthy sources.
@@SetoShadowVT to me it has the best OST. It was very gorgeous even for today's standards, incredible feeling of speed. Perfect balance between seriousness and comedy. And the werehog wasn't that bad. It also has the best introduction scenes of the franchise.
It's quite obvious what happened with the Re+Mind review, bro couldn't mash X to win he had to use his brain for once to dodge and block at the right time even tho there's an EZ codes
The sad thing is that as a fighting game fan, IGN has actually shown improvement when they talk about fighting games and do put in effort in their reviews or topics on the genre. They need to hire and bring actual KH fans when making content about KH instead of people who clearly don’t have a clue about the series series's
The mispronunciation of Xehanort and Eraqus, reminds me of when they were reviewing Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition a few years back and mispronounced a couple of the main characters (ie, Dunban and Reyn being pronounced as Duncan and Rain). I feel like when it comes to IGN at this point, they're just a joke in the industry.
Man, watching this made me feel nostalgic about the times before Kingdom hearts 3, I remember how much I laughed at the Erasqueeze and Xenonort. As Roxas would've said : man, time flies.
Honestly, I don't like that important series lore was behind a super hard boss rush challenge. I'm glad they had the one-hit kill modes, but it would've been nice to just have a more "in line with the normal fights" difficulty. I like a bit of challenge, just not a huge one. When streaming for a friend I turned one-hit kill on just to show them the Yozora stuff. When playing on my own I cleared, I think, eight of the fights before deciding I'd had enough.
I may be crazy, but wasn’t there also a review of the D23 2015(?) trailer where two of the IGN members made a theory that one of the gate things on Olympus’ mountain would act as a portal to the other Disney worlds? Please, I someone confirm whether it was a fever dream or not, because I’ve been thinking about this for a long time.
I would love some "Certified IGNorant Moment" clip of some kind. Do your usual chaotic-neutral schtick, bring out the flashing lights, and baste that turkey on the dance floor.
There were? I don't think I realized the easy codes were that powerful. Probably because I was going for the trophies and it told me I wasn't allowed to use them or something.
I never really listened to IGN after the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. They complained about the game having too much water. Which is weird. Most review sites wont agree with the fan base. Its the same with audience scores vs rotten tomatoes. The Mario movie was a great explain. The fans loved it but critics hated it. Moral of this story is I ignore sites like IGN.
Its not just Kingdom hearts. We all remember that sonic frontiers gameplay they showed off. Bro couldn't even playa sonic game let alone a kingdom hearts game
Ah F*ck the baby face. Man what a throwback. How far you've come and it's a bit reality shattering how long ago that was and how long I've been following this channel😅
IGN's weirdness with KH is hilarious to me. It's like they've fostered a toxic, anti-KH culture there but they still have to report on it because it's a huge franchise.
IGN has always been a terrible source for gaming news, but they always feel fake as hell when it comes to anything related to Kingdom Hearts, and it really bothers me. And the thing is, I don't care if people have a different opinion about something; it's just when that opinion is based on ignorance vs. understanding. Like obviously, I dont give a shit if someone doesn't like Roxas, but to say he is a trash character that nobody gives a shit about is just.... not true. Hes an insanely popular character and one of the most important ones in the entire series.
I had no idea about any of this, but I'm not surprised. Every time I see an IGN review for an action RPG they say the combat system is just like the "mindless button mashing of Dynasty Warriors," leaving me frustrated at both the extraordinarily wrong comparison and the professing their ignorance on the fundamentals of any combat system as fact.
I think I posted this comment on a previous video of yours, but it's worth repeating. I remember back when KH3 was nearing release and their Xbox Podcast brought on someone from their team who was specifically there to talk about Kingdom Hearts and get their audience hyped for the game (remember KH3 was the first in the series to come to Xbox). At one point she says "I didn't even play the spin-off games, I just wanted KH3". So in other words, one of their "experts" skipped most of the series. And that right there told me everything I needed to know about IGN's Kingdom Hearts coverage. Now obviously that's just one individual, I'm sure they actually do have people who could talk in depth about the series. But if you're going to put people forward as an expert on a series, and they admit they skipped most of it, then they're not really an expert are they?
I’ll never really get over “Xenanorn and Eraquise” they… couldn’t look up videos for pronunciation? Or read the names phonetically? Like, yeah, maybe just don’t talk about Kingdom Hearts if you don’t care enough to cover it. 😂
I recently finally bought the remixes for a 3rd time on PC now and have been on the KH kick and chatting about it with friends and telling them about how bad IGN is with the series and you happen to post this the same day. It's like it was already written... May your hearts be your guiding key.
It's not even that he didn't finish the game that bothers me it's that he said the hardest part of the game was too hard...THE GAME LITERALLY GIVES YOU CHEATCODES FOR THAT REASON LMAO
I think it's fair to review the dlc without finishing it, since the reason that he couldn't finish it was that it was exponentially harder than the base game. That's actually really good information for readers/viewers of the review to know.
2007 child me said the same thing about Roxas in the beginning when playing KH2 when I was wanting to see Sora, who I loved as a kid. I’m like where TF is my boy, Sora? I was so confused and had ADHD. I cried in the beginning of KH2. lol then I remember liking Roxas more as the game carried on. But I remember that first hour of crying alone in my room and playing KH2 was so hard for me but I managed after a while. I was so bad at gaming back then. Also, didn’t play the other games that I should have and couldn’t purchase the other games as a child because they didn’t advertise them well and I wasn’t even aware of their existence because of this.
Zygbar, LarZene, SaïZ, Zezion, Zaldin, Azel, VeZen, MarluZia, Zemnas, Lezaeus, Demyz, Luzord, Rozas and Zion. They seek Kingdom Hearts in the OrganiZation ZIII. And Master Zehanorts wants to forge the Z-Blade.
Not finishing a game is something that Game Reviewers do. They struggle at a slightly difficult fight and instead of getting good they will give up and complain that the game is too hard.
I used to really like the IGN podcasts, and still like a few but Brian definitely doesn’t know much about KH and he admits that. What used to drive me crazy is when Dornbush was there and was there “KH expert” there but got a ton of things about it wrong often on podcasts.
The "kh 4" image and Eraqeez had me cackling. As much as it is like, opinion pieces, mistakes, lack of manpower when it comes to covering everything fully within a marketable timeframe, it does matter. Because when you are a gaming news source, the goodwill and trust of the fans of said games you are covering is probably the most important thing you need to have. There are other fanbases they have had this happen with too I think. I'm not gonna place all the blame directly on the IGN reporters assigned to articles/reviews/posts, though, I do feel bad, a lot of them probably stepped onto landmines that tanked their credibility because they were assigned to report on things they weren't really familiar with or not being given enough time/resources, stuff outside of their control, yada yada.

I love that. That should be their slogan

That's a good one bro!

ign - lets make a kingdom hearts article post - everything goes all wrong.
As a Xenoblade fan, we know the same feeling. We will never forget IGN’s story about the adventures of Duncan and Rain
They talked shit about melia. Some things can never be forgiven.
Iirc correctly, they even spoiled Seven
How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man!!?
Nice
😂
IGN is the same way with Sonic....don't get me STARTED with Sonic Unleashed and that DEBACLE of poor reviewing by IGN....
Sonic unleashed was quite good actually.
