Those guys over at Blade HQ are cool and fun, but there is something more genuine and comforting about DCA
I agree, he’s informative and articulate without sounding pretentious. Seems like a rly cool guy.
And knowledgeable
They are equally good
He also makes knives. That gives him the rare, intimate connection to the craft that many don't have on the sales side.
Blade HQ is certainly more typical youtuber approach. There is an emphasis on being fun and entertaining. Nothing wrong with it.
But if John Wick needed a knife, he would go to this guy. 😆
How great is the Knife Center. In the business of selling knives and they dedicate an entire segment to knives that are not for sale. Thanks for giving David this opportunity to showcase knives that are priceless.
Just FYI some of these knives are for sale and in stock at knife center
I think he owns the company so he gave himself the opportunity.
We need a part 2 of Big Dave’s folders
Yeah, I got time.
The emotion in your voice when you were so proudly talking about your knife being on the cover of Knives Illustrated hit me solid in the feels man. I think this is why we love your videos- you're such a genuine guy and so quietly passionate. We felt that dude, I'm not crying you're crying 😅 really wholesome stuff. DCA for Knife Guy of the Year 2020
Agreed.
I was going to say it but you already said it better
Well I'm speechless. Didn't see any possibility of you being more likeable than you were before this video. Thanks so much for sharing some of your collection and more of the personal side of David C. Anderson.🖐🖐
Big shout out to L.T Wright and Ethan Becker for fostering David's enthusiasm. Look what has become of it. Bravo Gentlemen.
I love those guys! -DCA
L.T. is an old school blacksmith and gentleman. If he took well to DCA, I'd say that tells me my first impression of DCA was correct: Good guy to have around the campfire. Seeing the pictures I did of DCA actually handling Ethan Becker's original Kephart (be still, my pounding heart) confirms this. Check out the article: www.knifemagazine.com/the-original-kephart-examined/
Okay, this video begs for a Part II. "The Folders."
I second this motion.

your knowledgeable and interested about knives. you don't talk about the same 5 brands. Keep up the good work. also don't tell me that I don't have time to look at your full collection. i'd watch that for sure
Yes we got time for ur entire collection Dave! If u got time, show us pls
Love your passion for this industry. God bless you in all your endeavors my friend.
Great video! Really enjoyed seeing part of your collection and hearing all of the stories. Hope to see you in person sometime soon!
David C. Anderson, you sir are a true professional and come across as very genuine and approachable. Hats off to you for sticking to your guns and not selling your values for likes and followers. Have really enjoyed watching your videos over the past year. Thanks for showing us some of your collection and giving us a look into your own life!
LT Wright is my favourite knife maker. Great, usable designs, flawless execution with that handmade, invisible but present "touch". Truly great knives.
Got to love that TM Hunt quality and artisanship.
Those who have any of these knives are blessed.
So much more interesting than just another collector - a knife maker!
Thanks a lot David that video was awesome to experience! Can def feel your love for the pieces and people!
Wow. I would just like to thank David and the Knife Center for obliging our request for this video. I certainly asked for it myself more than once, but I was still totally floored when I saw the video thumbnail with that title. I must say, the video did not disappoint. I really believe that I am not alone when I say that it's about more than just the knives that motivated so many requests for this. i think I speak for a lot of folks out there when I say that we have really grown to respect and appreciate David as an exceptional host (none better), a brilliant knife maker/designer, and really just an all around expert of cutlery (I don't use that word lightly) and getting to see his collection gives us just a little bit of a look into how things have progressed and evolved throughout his journey in the knife world. Nothing but respect and appreciation for you my man, you will always have the support of this fan. Happy Holidays everyone. What is everyone gonna carry on New Years Eve?!?!
DCA is the man. Honest, kind, well-spoken, down to earth. Love these videos.
Thee best knife video from you. Just out n out beautiful knives. They gave me goosebumps listening to your stories about them. Thank you so much for making the video. It was a hit in my book. May 2021 bring joy and prosperity to you and your bride!
I think the first knife your Dad gives you is special but the first one you make even if it’s a bit of a dog always has a soft spot.Great video, great stories
That Hunt Nessmuk almost made ME cry. Nice collection Dave. Thank you for sharing.
DCA, thank you so much for giving us a glimpse of your collection. It was an amazing video and I was touched by your passion about knives. You left me craving more from your collection.
Takes a strong man to show heart . Amazing the amount of love that comes from a knife.
DCA, I love how much you love and appreciate your knives. Thank you for all that you do for the knife community. You are a treasure.
Before I watch this video, just wanted to comment that I always enjoy seeing a part of a knife collectors collection. This ones gonna be awesome! I see a lot of fixed blades!
This one of my favorite videos! Love the Knifecenter and love DCA! Thank you for sharing some of your collection. Now I get why you liked that budget nesmuck folder so much with the black handles. Who made that? So coool I want one one. And I want a nesmuck fix blade too. I’m not sure if I’m spelling that right.
That would be the Revo Ness. Mine arrives this week in carbon fiber!
The spelling is Nessmuk.
Thanks for the assist Michael! Yes, it is the REVO Ness: kcoti.com/3mQof2d
Cheers! -DCA
Mr. Anderson,
Thank you very much for sharing this unique personal story with us. I don't know how or why it came up in my feed at midnight on a Sunday in late August 2023, but I felt the emotions coming from you as you told the history of those blades on the table and the friendships along the way. I think the better way of putting it is hearing the opportunities you had, the bonds you made, and the souvenirs you picked up along the way that will forever keep those memories alive inside you. I never knew any of that about you, Your blogs, papers the work with LT Wright, or your venture into knife-making. Thanks again, Do you have any other videos about your history or background? If not video, any print articles, etc. Best to you and your family.
TMA
Thanks for the kind words! This is the only real "historical" video I've done, but for some more personal stories, you can check these vids out where Seth V and I talk about knives we've purchased. Cheers! -DCA

We need a pt.2 to this Mr. DCA. Need to see the daily carry and the pieces you can't live without.
Excellent ! Thanks so much for sharing both the knives and your experiences as you developed your skills designing and executing - well done, sir !!
I watch all the KC vids. This is the absolute best! Nicely done....thank you DCA.
This was my first year really becoming a "knife guy," and I wholeheartedly agree... it's about the emotional connections and the stories behind each one that I now have in my possession. Thank you for this entire year's worth of content, and then this wrap-up. Hearing your stories - amazing. I'm honored to know more about your journey in the knife world. Thank you so very much for being a large part of my year.
Thank you for allowing me to be such a large part of your year! -DCA
Thank you David, this was a wonderful video and I am so happy to have people like you in our community!
Thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed that, David. Thanks so much.
I look forward to your videos every week! Thank you for your knowledge and genuine character!!
I've binged probably 20 episodes of the weekly knives since finding the series just recently and love watching these videos you make. You definitely have a passion and appreciation for knives - thanks for letting us see that side of you. You're a genuine dude and are appreciated.
Thank you for the kind words, and I'm glad you are enjoying the vids! -DCA
Thanks so much for sharing. Knives have a very special place in my heart as well and it's terrific seeing this collection through your eyes as you talk about the stories behind them.
Awesome!! Thank you! Superb as always man what a great little Xmas bonus for your followers 👍👍👍
What a great long awaited video. It was great getting to see where DCA's Nordsmith came from. Great job and thank you for sharing your collection and your stories DCA!
Classy collection from a classy guy! Thanks for showing us some of your collection.
I love this guy, such a humble man.
David is the knife professor, while the Blade HQ guys are the students cutting up in the back of the class.
Thank you for this unique, personal presentation about our shared interest. There is friendliness and learning combined in knife interest, just as in my cast iron cookware groups. So much to learn and share!
how much more heartfelt does it get
I love them myself man .I totally understand how you feel about knives and the emotions with them.My favorite knife i own is one my daughter and i made out of an old file and a stag antler handle.Nice episode.
What an awesome treat! Would love to see part 2 with your folders.
Thank you so much for sharing these awesome heart felt blades that show what type of guy u really are, thanks again bro
Thanks for the videos! Your knives are beautiful!
I believe you understand that making something by hand adds a part of the maker’s soul to the things they make. You may make many knives of the same design; but none are exactly the same. This why each one is special; to the maker and the one who receives the knife. I believe you made some very nice knives. It would be hard to abuse something you took hours to make. That is better left to the one who pays the price of owning it.
Beautiful collection , great memories , thanks for sharing!
Great video. I just beginning my knife journey. Its not just love for knives but the respect for them also. People have put blood sweat and tears into making them for hundreds of years. Your collection is priceless and awesome. Thank you for sharing
Happy New Year, David and KnifeCenter team. Thanks for the interesting videos. Health and good luck!
Thanks David. Interesting to see some of your choices considering you get to see and probably handle so many knives. 👍🏻
Big Dave, you finally did it. Awesome job
Thank you sir for allowing us to know a little more about your personal life. Your love for the knife industry is pretty evident with every video you make and in the sound of your voice when you talk about the knives you present. I watch your videos and you never come across as a salesman but a friend who is explaining each and every knife in a way that we as viewers gain trust in you and the information you provide leaves us knowledgeable about the product with the pressure to buying a knife. Again thank you for your videos and keep them coming! And best of luck on your endeavors sir.
Sorry, I meant to say without the pressure to buying a knife.
This was great! Very genuine DCA! Thank you! 👏🏼🇺🇸
And the Best UA-cam Knife Video of the Year, for 2020, goes to David C Anderson! Seriously, that was outstanding! Thank you for posting this fixed blade collection for the rest of us to see how the path you've traveled in the knife world has led you to where you are in life today! My first Nessmuk was the LT Wright Saber ground Camp Muk in CPM-3V, Double Red Micarta with Natural Micarta Liners, and my most recent Nessmuk purchase was your Nordsmith Canteen, Natural Micarta with Green Liners. The Canteen was my Christmas present to self this year & I am very thankful to have that outstanding knife in my collection! Review to come shortly after I get to play with it a bit more. Congratulations on the 100K+ subscribers & I hope you & yours have a fantastic New Year!
You are The Godfather, of cutlery.lol. I’ve learned so much about knives over the past 6 months I’ve been watching you! I feel like I am never buying a knife again. Without thinking about all the facts & specs you have given me! Keep on rocking!!!lol..
And this right here is why I buy pretty much exclusively from Knife Center, even when the desired item might be cheaper somewhere else. DCA, you are a treasure! :)
Absolutely loved this autobiographical presentation. Thank you DCA!
Outstanding collection sir, I think you have to be the nicest and most genuine figure on the sales end of the industry. Im always waiting for your next video, keep up the awesome work and being an inspiration for everyone to be a better person. I wish you good luck and prosperity in the coming new year.
Beautiful David. Happy holidays to you and yours! We have alot of the same taste in knives. Incredible pieces. Looking forward to a fresh start in 2021
David your expertise and knowledge have always impressed me, but it is your obvious passion for knives and the people who make them that is so enjoyable to witness. Thank you for sharing some of your personal adventures and a very special knife collection. The last knife you showed us is a truly fantastic work of art! Happy New Year.
What a great collection of memories and stories. Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year!
What an amazing collection, so personal and a reflection of your evolving career. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this, Mr. Andersen. I hope you and your loved ones had a wonderful Christmas, and that you have a fantastic new year!
Man, what a great video!
# Slightly larger than average heart ♥️
Love your work David. I hope someday i can work in the knife industrie myself.
Wow. the 4th one blue handle and last one are so amazing
I fell in love with the nessmuk pattern because of the "Know your knives" article at ttak. That custom one is absolutely stunning.
I wish I could still point people to that article. Too bad the new ownership killed the site! -DCA
Great collection David! I’ve been in the knife community for only a few years but understand your connection to the makers. What a great group of people. I’ve always wanted a GNS but have now strayed towards folders. However, I’ve got a Bark River Aurora II that accompanies me on all of my wilderness adventures. Great channel, you deserve the success.
Loved THIS! Way to wrap up a great year! Congrats on 100k+ subs and looking forward to an awesome 2021! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for this! This was great. Over the course of the next year maybe you could show off your other 1000 knives. I know I would. It brings interest and perspective to our hobby. Happy New Year!
Man this had me feeling emotional too.
Thanks for sharing DCA.
Went and found your article about The Kephart knife, was very good, cool to see you as a young pup.
Probably my fave Knife Center video!
Very cool, thank you for sharing those personal stories and your experiences over the years. Your personal collection tells something about you and is a nice reflection on how our own collections do the same for each of us. And congrats on taking what you're passionate about to the next level of learning and exploring your own knife skills and knowledge. Awesome video!
Excellent end of year video! David is a really sincere guy who flat out loves the knife industry! I trust him with any recommendations!
Excellent history behind each knife!!! Happy Hollidays David
Now you have to do part two....your favorite folders.
This has been my favorite FAQ yet. Thanks for sharing. Pretty special collection.
We love you too Mr. Anderson
Love your collection my friend! Looking at one day owning one of your blade designs! Happy New year
Wow David, that little Nordstrom you made for your groomsmen is just fantastic!! The green jigging looks great! Those are some lucky fellas
HAPPY NEW YEAR DAVID and loved ones. We'll have a better 2021 ... cheers
I appreciate the quiet passion this guy has for knives. The giddy boyish enthusiasm of the BHQ guys, not so much. But then I’m old. Cool glimpse of your collection and knife making, Mr. Anderson. Thanks.
This video is almost two years old, but I enjoyed the video and want to thank you for sharing.
Great video and I really appreciate you opening up with some great stories.

Beautiful stories. That TM Hunt is on a whole other level!!!
It truly is! -DCA
Excellent selections from your collection David, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a couple of your friends over the years at Blade & SHOT. Thanks for sharing the stories. How about another group when we reach 150k followers?!
Could be a possibility!
This is actually the first time i watch a Video on UA-cam about knives and love all shown knives on the table! Really good work mate, and I agree, Nesmuck is great, want one myself 😅👍
I think it's cute that people think things are going to be better next year.
