@@Elon_Trump Food on the navy is better than in the army, but the airforce is the best. You either live in a hotel or on a base in an allied country.
@@KDROzzz I wouldnt say never, but it is very rare. There is a PBS documentary called carrier that was filmed in the early stages of the afgan war and to meet the demand for air strikes they had AF pilots on the carrier until they could establish a FO base. I remember a scene where they were complaining that they needed to pay for their own meals where pilots for the navy got them for free.

Interesting timing. I just got denied for service in the Air Force last week due to a genetic eye condition that causes night-blindness. 😑 I made a video about it if anybody cares

I totally get that man. I was unable to enlist to become a navy diver which was my dream since I was a kid. In my final year of high school 6 years ago I got diagnosed with epilepsy. My meds have prevented me from having seizures or migraines but it doesn’t matter. They’re super mild, only last about 8-10 seconds with no after effects but it’s a blanket diagnosis. I have other interests though and am pursuing them but it just meant I had to pivot. You’ll find a way my friend.
My dad actually had a similar experience to yours, he really wanted to be a fighter pilot but was rejected due to his eyes as well. He has keratoconus.

Damn hopefully you have other military options if interested. Ive been trying to get my brother to join a branch but is "sure theyll deny him due to his student debt." I assure him everyones situation is different and merely have education debt isnt necessarily an instant disqualifier, however I was in the Marine Corps over a decade ago so Im sure things have changed.

I went threw AF basic and did 5 years in the USAF, this is not what its like (I know its just for entertainment, duh) but there is a lot less friendly nice fun and a lot more screaming and stress

Showing my age, the only legit road trip I did was with the neighborhood guys and we went to a Grateful Dead concert in Lakeland Florida in 1980. I wasn't a big Dead fan but, I went for the event and to get high. The Dead's playlist really spoke to me while I was toasted. It just felt right. That was a long long time ago.
I think Wojak needs to go back in time and do a classic American road trip to a concert. Baby Boomer style. We were going to go in a VW bus but, as I vaguely recall, the tires were no good so we went in this Hornet station wagon. Memory is hazy but, some petty details remain. Good times.

I was sad for a long time that I could not become a jet Fighter Pilot. Was very far in to the training (even flight stage). I passed all flighttest and other stuff but then got kicked off because 'Not Enough Life Experience' at 19. Why even let me into the program in the first place this young?
Anyways: I did not bother after that because AI Aircraft will be here within two years anyway. No pilots needed in those seats.

Yeah, bullshit. Fighter Pilots have to be commissioned Officers in every Military in the world, which usually requires a four year degree. Even if you were somehow a prodigy who’d gone to college at 15 and graduated at 19, that’s still not enough time to finish training. But again, let’s play devil’s advocate and say somehow you graduated at eighteen and got into training? They wouldn’t kick you out for “not enough life experience”.
