(I'm assuming your'e a yank) As a Londoner, I can tell you that our winters are much less harsher than in NY - we hardly ever have snow that settles - and our summers rarely unbearably hot, we very rarely topple 30 degrees. But in our moderation, is also our downfall. London is damp. No getting away from it. We don't get heavy rain very often - the South East of England gets less annual rainfall than Texas - but we get a lot of grey sky, disappointing temperatures, and light rain, even in the summer months. But at least we don't get snowfalls covering cars in NY, or hurricanes in New Orleans or regarding Maine, extreme daily weather changes, or sunless Seattle, or scorching heat in LA. I've been to these places....but I don't think you've ever been to England mate.

Brings back fond memories of seeing Zeppelin five feet from the stage at The Grande Ballroom in Detroit. A well-spent $3.50 for a night of rock and roll.
This was their final encore when I saw them on John Bonham's Birthday May 31 1977 at Greensboro NC. We drove all the way from Fort Bragg and it was $10.00 Festival seating-after 50 years of going to concerts including many of the greatest rock bands on Earth these guys and that concert are still the best
Robert Plant just oozed sexuality in the years that he played with Led Zeppelin. I spent my teenage years in the 1970's and to this day a like a handsome guy with long hair.
Saw Zep in the early 70s at Sunderland Locarno (The Mecca) just before the release of Led Zep 4. On the back of the ticket you were advised that on producing the ticket at Bergs record shop in Sunderland you would receive 25 pence discount on the new album. The band played at Newcastle Mayfair on Thursday night and the Friday at Sunderland Locarno. They are without doubt the loudest and best live band I ever saw. To see the four of them in front of you was absolutely unbelievable and unforgettable.
I saw them on the same tour - 2/12/1971 - having managed to get in for free (so no 25p discount for me). They were pretty loud in places but it was the power, not just the volume, the power coming off the stage that was most impressive. I went on to see them four more times before 1979.
Rich6Brew lucky lad seeing them 4 more times, they are my all time favourite band, I still play the old albums even though I have the cds. They still evoke memories of the long haired youth I was, alas a baldy old coot now!
Can you imagine sitting in the front rows and it's dark as hell and you hear Bonhams hi-hat and BOOM these dude just explode on stage? It must have been mind blowing as hell and back then rock bands played a hell of a lot louder than they do today. It must have been like witnessing an atomic explosion, unbelievably intense.
I saw them at Newcastle City Hall in 72, it was a pretty small venue, just over 2,000 capacity, they were playing bigger venues later on but this was very early in the tour, it might even have been the first night, it was the loudest thing I’d ever heard until Zep 3 years later at Earl’s Court on the last night, I couldn’t hear clearly for 3/4 days after.
I was actually at MSG & saw this whole concert - up close & personal. Back in the day I said Led Zeppelin could & would NEVER be replicated & I was right. One of a kind.
2:44 Switches camera to such a great view. With Plant moving a bit on stage as he does, all 4 band members seen rocking and rolling off of each other driving the music together. Could have kept that camera on most all of the time. Terrific angle/point of view of action on stage.
It's been a long time since I rock and rolled It's been a long time since I did the Stroll Oh let me get it back let me get it back Let me get it back baby where I come from It's been a long time been a long time Been a long lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely time Yes it has It's been a long time since the book of love I can't count the tears of a life with no love Carry me back carry me back Carry me back, baby, where I come from It's been a long time, been a long time Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time Seems so long since we walked in the moonlight Making vows that just can't work right Open your arms, opens your arms Open your arms, baby, let my love come running in It's been a long time, been a long time Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time
An amazing band, Led Zeppelin was my first real concert in the Chicago Stadium, 1975, in advance of Physical Graffiti. They played for about four hours and gave four encores. Blew my mind. Don't know why Nea Zixnh gives writing credit to Johnny Winter. (?!) This song is a Zep composition without a doubt.
Back in 90-s I didn't like the sound of Page's guitar in comparison with an album version - but with years I've changed my mind and must admit that I finally like this sound too - it has some kind of a raw power in it :-)
They were and still are my favorite all time band BUT they were not very good playing live. I saw them in 1977 and couldn’t even tell what they were playing most of the time. Plant’s voice was shot and Page was playing way too loud. Page is an awesome guitar player but they couldn’t reproduce the album sound live because he overdubbed so much on the albums and since they didn’t have another guitar player in concert it wasn’t the same.
Zepp is my favorite rock n roll band. Every song is good. I'm just bummed I never saw them in concert., so thanks Nea for this HD live video. Those jeans on Robert....legendary! ❤💋🤘

Oi, posso ver que você gosta da boa música. Recomendo a vocês a seguinte homenagem ao LED ZEPPELIN: ua-cam.com/video/gfSHhqzaioM/v-deo.html Você concorda que é a melhor homenagem a essa banda?
"Rock and Roll" was a key component of the band's setlist at Led Zeppelin concerts from 1971 on. Initially, Plant referred to it on stage as "It's Been A Long Time", which is the first line of the song. In 1972 it was elevated to the opening number of all concert performances and it retained this status until 1975. For the band's 1977 North American tour, it became part of a medley encorewith "Whole Lotta Love", and during 1979 and 1980 it became an encore in its own right. A live performance of the song from Madison Square Garden in July 1973 was recorded for the band's concert film The Song Remains the Same and accompanying soundtrack album. There is also a June 1972 live recording of "Rock and Roll" which has been captured on the album How the West Was Won.

Today...47 years ago they finished their legendary Maddison Square Garden concert. Still as relevant today as then. Long live Zeppelin!!!!
At the beginning of their peak, IMO all things considered they are the greatest rock band ever. They had it all. Page was the man
I’m so glad they recorded this on good quality cameras. They were at their peak here and it’s freaking awesome. I hope many youngins see this
Yup. Makes one wanna say, "OK, kids, this is how it's done."
This is how it’s done
I was actually at MSG & saw this whole concert
- up close & personal.
ROBERT PLANT'S PERFECT HAIR WAS WAY AHEAD OF IT'S TIME HERE.
COMPARABLE TO THE GLORIOUS BEAUTY OF THE HAIR-BANDS OF THE '80's and '90's.
Robert Plant's voice is absolutely great and right for this sound. This is Rock n Roll.
And this was when he was suffering from vocal nodules.
Musicians with talent and passion, crowd without mobile phones... Yes, we lost something along the way
MT fucking V happened
is 1973 genius, what mobile phones?
The more i listen to JIMMY, the more i love PAGE
THE BEST BAND EVER. SAW THEM LIVE IN 1975. AND STILL ROCKING TO ROBERT PLANT. JIMMY PAGE. TRUE MUSIC GENIUS/ STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN
It's been a long time since I rock and rolled
It's been a long time since I did the Stroll
Oh let me get it back let me get it back
Let me get it back baby where I come from
It's been a long time been a long time
Been a long lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely time
Yes it has
It's been a long time since the book of love
I can't count the tears of a life with no love
Carry me back carry me back
Carry me back, baby, where I come from
It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time
Seems so long since we walked in the moonlight
Making vows that just can't work right
Open your arms, opens your arms
Open your arms, baby, let my love come running in
It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time
🎸
Can you imagine leaving MSG after this monstrous gig and getting straight into the Taxidriver 70's NYC scenery
New York City was a much more dangerous place to be back then.
I did in 77... accept we took the subway. My mom and friends mom was waiting in front of the house for us... man those were the days.
You’ve got to be kidding me. This is tremendous, Why can’t this continue I miss rock
Royal blood my dude , rock and roll lives on
I mean Greta Van Fleet is the start I suppose
hard to imagine playing guitar with this song without giving duck-face. Thats the best feelings
page is legend
메이명박 뭐야 진짜 메명이네
ㅎㅇ
the four pages
찐이네...
page is god
Nobody is as good as rocking out as well as jimmy
An amazing band, Led Zeppelin was my first real concert in the Chicago Stadium, 1975, in advance of Physical Graffiti. They played for about four hours and gave four encores. Blew my mind.
Don't know why Nea Zixnh gives writing credit to Johnny Winter. (?!) This song is a Zep composition without a doubt.
Seeing these amazing guys in their prime, you couldn't imagine back then getting old!
So true
Yep, I got to see them in concert, which was so great 👍. But now I'm old!! Lol 😆. 😆 !!
Isso que é Rock de verdade rsrs. Melhor banda do planeta

Synmorfitelia never personally liked Dancing Days, but yes, most of the songs they made were good
Hot dog
FaZe_Pickaxe I love dancing days haha but to each their own
I love dancing days 😂😂😂✌🏼🤟🏼
+Synmorfitelia This comment should win an award for just being freaking cool!
Awesomeness personified! I never get enough of LED ZEPPELIN! Never!
Back in 90-s I didn't like the sound of Page's guitar in comparison with an album version - but with years I've changed my mind and must admit that I finally like this sound too - it has some kind of a raw power in it :-)
nobody cares
How can you not think page is great
@@cindymajors8754 Page is great - there's no doubt :-)
They were and still are my favorite all time band BUT they were not very good playing live. I saw them in 1977 and couldn’t even tell what they were playing most of the time. Plant’s voice was shot and Page was playing way too loud. Page is an awesome guitar player but they couldn’t reproduce the album sound live because he overdubbed so much on the albums and since they didn’t have another guitar player in concert it wasn’t the same.
They were all so young in this!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Always loved this number... Bonzo’s amazing intro gets the adrenaline flowing right off the bat!
Zepp is my favorite rock n roll band. Every song is good. I'm just bummed I never saw them in concert., so thanks Nea for this HD live video. Those jeans on Robert....legendary! ❤💋🤘
I feel like people often underestimate the quality of 70s film. With the right tools, the film look looks better than digital
I always loved Jimmy's outfit in this, bloody fantastic like this track
Just one guitarist it's amazing
Did you forget about John Paul Jones
@@ledzeppelin5647 that's bass player bro
@@sm_4859 A bass is still a guitar bro!
@@ledzeppelin5647 he is talking about lead guitarist the master Jimmy page
@@sm_4859 How do you know who he's talking about, he says only one guitarist when there are two, and yes except for Hendrix, Page is the man.
Pure Power of Rock n' Roll!
I love the drama of having the lights down and then the sudden illumination as the first chords hit.
THAT'S the way to kick off a exciting concert.
Yep. The world over. Isnt that awesome how music transcends?
2:14-2:23 Cream (Eric Clapton) 'Crossroads' from the 1968 album "Wheels of Fire".
I love Zeppelin.
