Hi Travis and suzy, Let's wrap up our winger trilogy with my favorite song. This is kind of like a ballad, but I think this track really shows Kip Winger's vocal range, the great musicianship of the band, and the wicked guitar solo. The lyrics are pretty cool too. Again, like the other (2) videos we have watched, don't take this one too seriously. I just think it is a really cool track. We'll get back to more Jane's Addiction, Fishbone, Social Distortion, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and start No Doubt next, but I thought this would be a fun detour to take. Hope you like it.

Very underrated musicians. Kip Winger has also wrote classical pieces.
I never get tired of hearing that solo at the end. Reb never over plays his solos.
Reb Beach is so underrated as a guitar player. He's great!
I love Winger!! This song brings back so many memories! ❤
A lot of people love to hate on Winger at times, but Kip has since grown into an incredible classical composer. He studied classical composition in university during Winger's hiatus in the 90's and he garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Classical Composition with his "Conversations with Nijinsky" album. If you know where to look harmonically, you can hear classical influence in much of Winger's music as well, like this one.
Reb Beach is a guitar god!!!! Kip Winger is just amazing... Not to mention Rod Morganstein on the drums...
Winger he can sing and play, awesome cool video MTV days 🤘😆👍🎤🥁🎸🎸
Winger are one of my favourite bands and this one my favourite of their songs. Great musicianship and songwriting and I have always resented that it just gets dismissed as "hair metal" or some such thing. Lots of great bands have been forgotten for the same reason. Winger were better than 90% of the music from the era and 99% of music today and they deserve a resurgence in popularity.
Winger rules
Kip Winger is a Grammy nominated artist for classical composition.
I think he won didn’t he?
One of the best slow songs to come out of the 80's...
The guitar lead is Reb Beach, he is a whitsnake guitar nowadays
And still plays with Winger, they just did some shows in Europe with the last one in Lisbon today
@@Snakehead1964 Plus a new album out last year that is just EPIC!!
Winger still around today releasing an album last year called seven. Try something off their Pull album, bit more mature sound
Reb Beach is seriously underrated. However, the main solo was ranked #1 for a power ballad. The outro solo was ranked #2.
I seen them live opening for Kiss great energy and great stage show
Reb Beach can absolutely shred!
Just this week I finished the excellent book 'Nothin' But A Good Time' about the rise and fall of the 80s Sunset Strip 'hair metal' scene. And in it Kip Winger is definitely a very sympathetic figure. What happened to him and that band both inside the industry and in the media was just scummy.
At least he has been able to prove himself an outstanding musician in the years since.
Can you imagine the pull Kip Winger had with women in the 80s and 90s? I mean, as a straight man, I can say that Kip Winger is a very attractive man. And he is super-talented.
You're right about the solo, one of my favorites
Great band and awesome live. I seen them back less than 10 years ago and still sound amazing live, not like most older bands sound after 20+ years if you know what I mean
I soooooo miss the 80’s!!
That chick in the video is a model, that’s in a couple of Great White videos, and also on one of their album covers. She’s in “Save All Your Love” and “House of Broken Love” with another famous model Bobby Brown of “Cherry Pie” video fame.
The reason there's so many music sheets in the video is that is how much it took to write out Reb Beach's awesome solos in this song. 🎸🎼🎵🎶
It aint easy being cheesy! 😂 LOL Winger was execellent wish they had more hits 😢 not sure what happened but with so many great hair bands alot got lost in the hot hit list shuffle! 😂 Dick Clarke i blame you! 😂
🎉
They got unfairly judged by quite a few because of Beavis & Butthead. They are actually extremely talented. Kip was Alice Cooper's bassist at one time. Reb is criminally underrated. Man can shred.
still have my cassette single of this song from 1990 or 91 not sure.
Great stuff, check out two of their newer videos, "Tears of Blood"and "it all comes back around"
Newer stuff, still great though
They always got a lotta shit but they had a few bangers. Kip Winger is actually a decent bassist and Reb Beach the guitarist is a total savage.
Brilliant ballad, and Miles Away a tad better.
As great as this is should have done the Mtv unplugged version
saw these guys at REDROCKS!!! CO...it was unbelievable!!!
freeeeeeeeking Reb Beach...dang
