As a translator I know how difficult it is to translate a song. It should not lost the catchy vocals in the original song, while maintaning the meaning (to a degree).

I don't know why, but I really like that line. Maybe because it shows that the cells don't know who their host is or what kind of person they are, but they still work hard not just for their sake, but for the sake of said host.

This song is freaking catchy. I never heard Cherami sing before, it's so cute! And Robbie Daymond's expressions freaking killed me lol
You should check out shows like Negima!? or My Bride is a Mermaid. Cherami sings one of the ED for Negima and plays/sings as an idol character in My Bride is a Mermaid.
You should also check it out some video games, too like " Telltale: The Walking Dead final season". Cherami also sang one song from that game, which is creepy AF but her voice is really beautiful. That was the first time I heard sing tho.

The sound and rythm of the words has to sound good with the music and flow naturally, so you can't keep the translation perfect. I don't get how people don't understand that. This is a fine example of song translation. Translations snobs should not be a thing, but here we are.

This is a sad sad day, we lost such a great voice actor and amazing person. It feels so unreal, I can't believe this happened, feels like some nightmare, I still remember having a conversation with Billy at Katsu and this happens. R.I.P. to an neverending fighter who's eyes smiled with the love of someone who enjoyed his work. Thank you for encouraging my friend to work on being a voice actor, thank you for talking to us and sharing your stories about voice acting in general. my view, if the original did it, then the dubs have to do it too. now if funimation (cause they're probably the ones doing it) aren't stupid and change the context of what's said, we'll be good.
@@dennisnedry8126: Aniplex does its own dubs. Which generally turn out better than Funimation's, since they don't rush the process at the cost of quality.

@@dennisnedry8126: Rushing is not fine, either. That usually results in poor translation, and/or bad casting. If they have more time, they can select better suited voice actors even if they don't have time to record their lines at the beginning, but they are free later. With a rushed schedule, they can only choose voice actors who are currently available, and that isn't necessarily the best choice.

Wow this is a big surprise. I really hope this sparks for more English dub openings. Those are one of the things I've missed when I was younger.
I think it just doesn't happen that often because of licensing, like love live for example. Hopefully it happens more often because i really do enjoy these when they're done well
@@Drilbit Yeah. Music are a separate license and that means more dollar to spend. It is upsetting that Love Live couldn't get the treatment, but at least Show by Rock got it for both its seasons.

@@TMX1138 I really hope so. Show by Rock didn't seem the type to be so big, yet it got dubbed songs. Zombie Land Saga was pretty popular during its time, so my fingers are crossed for dubbed songs.

Not quite. Leukemia is caused by cells that didn’t quite grow up right in the bone marrow and then caused problems. Our favorite cells are fully developed and don’t cause problems so we’re probably good.

No cap this opening always makes me grateful for the whole ecosystem that supports our bodies. The line "though we don't know who you are for your sake we're working hard all of us together are supporting you with all of our heart no matter what kind of strife each of us will risk our lives" really hits hard. Cause that is some of the most honorable shit anyone can do and there trillions of them keeping us from dying any second. Mad respect for our bodies take care of yourselves

Kind of reminded me when teen titans switch their music between languages.
Seeing all these comments for Billy Kametz really brings a tear to my eye. He still died so young, in an age where so many new voice actors have found more opportunities for voice acting and dubbing, and those who stuck around would one day find their star-making roles. There's no person more emblematic of the late 2010s boom than Kametz.

This has such a bittersweet tone now.... i cant help but tear up at the moments between white and red whenever they're having a sweet moment.
Billy looks like he's having a great day and that puts a smile on my face.

and the Japanese voice actor for Jotaro Kujo from Starfish- i mean Stardust Crusaders- is also the voice actor for the main Killer T cell i believe
I loved the sub, I cannot WAIT to see the dub, the cast did an excellent job of the opening song! I wasn't expecting it to be dubbed, too!
