Sorry pop users, but imho this distro will have a purpose to exist when cosmic DE (the rust one) arrives. Until then, it is just an old gtk3 Ubuntu with gnome extensions by default, meant for system76 machines (which are cool pieces of hardware btw)
Indeed, I switched to pop os a couple of months ago and I’m feeling kinda trapped on the now very old GNOME 42 version it ships with. I would’ve already installed Fedora but I really want to see how COSMIC is going to shape up. Hopefully it is super cool and the distro just keeps evolving.
Why use Etcher? Ventoy allows you to add multiple distro's onto one USB stick. I tried Pop, wasn't very impressed so....I'm sticking with Mint Debian Edition

Meant to be a A-Z for a beginner. I have a ventoy video. Thanks for watching.
why they are based on ubuntu instead of debian? this is an interresting question since they do not use snap! So if someone has an answer to that :)
Ubuntu handles proprietary drivers very well. Thanks for watching.
