I go here all the time when im in the city. Me and a family member love this place. A new addition is the machine that has a warning about offending and to play at your own risk. If you find it.. Put a quarter. Hilarious!
...I played some of these machines at the original Sutros and Playland... I still remember some.. the Arm Wrestle..also, the strangest machine was the electric shock machine..you would grab two handles and push in... the more you pushed the bigger the shock..!! had a gauge at the top from weak to strong etc...I would cover the handles with my coatsleeves and push all the way.. to watch the gauge go way up..!!!... probably not safety approved nowadays..!!!
I also played some of these machines when they were at Whitney’s Playland at the Beach, I remember when this museum when it operated in the lower back area of the Cliff House
