    This is classic cqb with Sectors of Fire and Points of Domination. This is classic army and taught to green berets. Dan brokos was the lead instructor for a while for the shoot house training green beret's. He retired and started his own business called lead faucet. This is good info and people need to understand the basics. But this is classic US army doctrine. This is closer to hostage rescue but with a center check. Project ghecko and the IDF are all about human behavior based tactics and fighting an active enemy and often having prologned engagements. So theshold assessments and fighting off the frame are paramount with the IDF style. Good basic info, people need to know it, then understand how it doesn't work for all situations and different techniques and tactics. Ppl must be fluid, change and adapt to the situation. I look forward to the next two videos if they expand on this further with more nuances or threshold assessments.

      I Agree. People in the comments seem to sway towards project gecko videos which were really good. But Kawa really is teaching the basics of CQB, which is still very good to know the basics and the understanding. Everyone wants "high speed" tactics but never been in country. Each instructor is different obviously, and is also based off of experiences.

    Maybe im missing it but im also not anywhere near being skilled in this sort of thing. Im still trying ti learn. Is it optimal to clear as much deadspace from outside of the room first before entry? Or just part of it and go to the greatest unknown like these gentlemen demonstrated?

    • @ROUNDTABLE.ONLINE
      @ROUNDTABLE.ONLINE 3 місяці тому +3

      Eli with Project Gecko said it years ago that it's much safer and more conducive with human behavior to pie off as much as you can before making entry and people made fun of him with comments such as "Well what if you get shot through the wall?" as if being shot cause you committed to the room is any better. Thankfully it's deliberate clearance is becoming more accepted in recent years due to the wars in Marawi, Gaza, and Ukraine.
      While this is still good info to learn, it's mainly considered "basic" US Army doctrine which tends to be dynamic entry. There's not much thought put into human behavior and room assessment. But again it's still good knowledge to know for the general population.

As a SWAT dude, pro tracker and TEMS TCCC medic, I can say those were top shelf. This one is good stuff. as a FAG (as Karl says Former Action Guy) I love to keep up with skills. Hey, great video! I just have one question: If the number one man has already pied off most of the room, and the only unknown to him is the hard corner, why is running the rabbit considered less optimal? I assumed it would be a better choice, since you present a moving target to the only remaining place the bad guy can be (hard corner), whereas if you move towards the hard corner you are getting closer to the threat, making yourself look bigger the closer you are. Thank you for all of this knowledge, I'm really looking forward to the rest of this series!

    • @Freddonzolo90
      @Freddonzolo90 6 місяців тому +1

      I'm a medium speed guy at best, but if I've got 90% of the room pied off, and know that that last 10% is where a bad guy is most likely to be, a) I don't want to present my back to that space (because I'll get lit up), and b) if I'm the #1 man I don't want to have my #2 guy running into the room towards that guy after I've already run in and we've lost the element of surprise (and if the bad guy is in the hard corner and I run the rabbit and get lit up, my #2 is running right into the bad guy's line of fire). On the other hand, if we pie off 90% and still have surprise, and I as #1 take the last 10% in the hard corner, it becomes an action vs reaction/speed surprise violence of action type equation. The bad guy is there, presumably waiting for me, but he doesn't know when I'm coming. So all other things being equal, I have an advantage because I have a pretty good idea where he's hiding (in the hard corner) and I choose when I run in blasting, and he has to react to me. Might he get a shot or two off at me? Maybe. But hopefully my surprise advantage allows me to get good effective hits on him and his shots either miss or hit my plates and I'm still in the fight, and then my #2 guy comes in and we can collapse on the rest of the room and do work as needed. That's my understanding of it, anyway

      @@Freddonzolo90 Thank you for the reply! I really appreciate the sharing of knowledge. Might I encourage you to take a look at Orion Training Group's video on running the rabbit ( ua-cam.com/video/yRFPWS6w4rk/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared )
      They have an interesting take on it, where as you are entering you are already presenting your muzzle towards the hard corner, as that is the only 10% that's left uncleared, as thus not turning your back toward the bad guy, in order to point the muzzle in a direction that's already been cleared (assuming there is no dead space left behind furniture, etc). Thank you again for replying!

      @@AndrijaAndric-jf8vk Running the rabbit tactic is to get the bad guy in the unknown corner to follow you with his shot placement (hopefully you are quick where he is not getting good shot placement, and at least starting to shoot back) while the number 2 comes straight in and blasts him.

    • @GTRNights
      @GTRNights 3 місяці тому

      RR allows you to get multiple guns on the target quicker. If you hook the corner and go straight at it, your #2 has to take the time to pass you and earn the shot. During that time, you also have 2 men stacked up ready to be hit easily. RR gets you in the room and out of the way while #2 drops in and you now have 2 guns to 1. #1 is also mobile. You have to remember that transverse speed gives you a better chance of not being hit than moving forward in a straight line - much easier to hit. You might as well be stationary. RR for a cornerfed room is a superior tactic. Lower risk, faster speed, and greater firepower on target all in one.

    A lot of these people that criticize “basic CQB” can’t even perform basic CQB…and you think you’re ready for more high speed stuff? Lol Make it make sense gents. You want Tier 1 but your CQB level of execution is barely infantry. A lot of people don’t understand that even the highest tier of CQB is basic, done at a high level of execution and with speed. Also, no one should be teaching civilians anything beyond this method of CQB anyway. Some things need to stay at the team level and only for those professionals. Cheers 🍻

      There's significant data to support that pushing to the greatest unknown in a corner fed is an awful idea. The enemy doesn't have to be good to shoot at a stationary target that is just getting bigger as you advance. Further, your teammates can't help you until they're several steps into the room.
      "Running the rabbit" has been shown time and again in FOF to be a far more effective tactic. Force the enemy to track multiple laterally moving targets, as soon as assaulters are in the room, they're in the fight.

    • @2AlphaTrainingGroup
      @2AlphaTrainingGroup 6 місяців тому +7

      @@mikejones6711 You’re implying speed, not technique. Running the rabbit can still be accomplished regardless of which way the 1-man goes. It has nothing to do with the greatest unknown and again, the 1-man is never wrong. The formula for speed is reps, comprehension and time. Forcing speed on newer Assaulters can make them outrun their headlights and achieve sensory overload which leads to delayed cognitive thought and function. That in itself can get an Assaulter killed. In conclusion, running the rabbit doesn’t mean the 1-man doesn’t clear his corner or collapse his sector. It just means that he’s faster and harder to track. This is about setting dudes up for long term success, not shortcuts. Graduation of speed comes with experience as well. Team cohesion, as in understanding who your fast dudes are, slow ones, and other team characteristics that need to be understood and improved on. But send me the significant data so I can be in the know too 👊🏽

    • @mikejones6711
      @mikejones6711 6 місяців тому +2

      @@2AlphaTrainingGroup, it seems we've engaged in a semantical argument, so I'm going to clarify definitions. "Running the rabbit" has nothing to do with speed of movement at all. It is simply a term to define where an assaulter's primary corner will be upon entry into a corner fed room.
      Running the rabbit: number one man pushes to the KNOWN corner, but focuses his primary sector of fire on the unknown corner. He has visually cleared the known corner prior to entry. If using POD, then one man continues to his secondary corner, if using strong wall, he simply stops once he's reached the known corner.
      Pushing the threat (the conventional tactic you demoed): Number one man pushes straight to the unknown corner.
      The difference: Running the rabbit causes the enemy to track multiple laterally moving targets, vs. shooting at one target who advances directly towards him. When running the rabbit, number 2 can engage as soon as he enters the room. However, if you push the threat, number two cannot engage the unknown corner until he is several steps into the room (this really depends on room size). Ergo, number one man is in a 1v1 gunfight while walking straight towards an enemy vs. 2v1, 3v1, 4v1 gun fight while assaulters move laterally.
      The book, Evaluating Police Tactics, has a number of force on force studies, to include the two different tactics I'm talking about. I've also participated in these FOF scenarios the team to evaluate the efficacy of both. tactics. I've played the bad guy for both tactics, and hitting laterally moving targets while being shot by multiple assaulters is far harder than shooting one guy advancing directly towards you, then shooting his buddy when he finally emerges.
      OTG explains this concept pretty well.

    This SOP has been over played since the 80s. Everyone knows how to stack and flow. Simply put- 1 man is always correct, and everyone else in the stack alternates going in the room. 0 reason to keep rehashing the basics. Very disappointing “pros guide”. I hope in the subsequent videos some actually new or useful knowledge/techniques get mentioned. Gecko set the bar EXTREMELY high. This was a huge disappointment, not to mention that #1 standing center of the hall from the threshold for a center check before entry totally 100% opens him up to being shot by his teammate if someone pops out from down the hall because hes taking all the real estate and having no gun able to hop in the fight. The danger is yes- the room, but also down the hall. All unknowns are danger areas. Why give up firepower to the front just to enter a room? Posting 2 at the door (1 man and 2 man) and sending across 3 man (who pies the room and does a threshold eval while moving to post up from the other side of the door) and 4 man (who follows 3 mans pie pattern path but keeps firepower down the hall ) so that when 3 man comes to rest posted on the other side of the door, 1&3 can coordinate entry and 2&4 can keep rear and front guard up until the point that the stack enters the room. This keep firepower towards the room and prevents cross fire. Also keeps front and rear guard which is 100% vital. This is amateur level tactics.

      I’m agreeing with you that all these are some old tactics for sure, but the #1 guy stay in the center to take his time to clearing the room that’s just a example they set to the audience, it doesn’t means they think it’s unnecessary to put one more guy to the other side of the hall way to hold angles.

      @@lewiszhang0115 I just hate stack and flow rehashing as “professional CQB”. Its taken 30-40 years for people to realize why so much blue on blue on happens and when its not blue on blue, why so many casualties have come out of this doctrine esp with absence of diversionary devices which was basically the basis surrounding the SOP. The CQB is an Angles game approach has helped the community so much- and started evolving the way Mil/LE has attacked these situations and prevailed with fewer casualties. Stack and Flow doctrine still has a place and sometimes it warranted, but even in the format it was given in this video, it can actually be paired with and improved by the basis of other methods. I just find this video to be another junk video. The thing is, even if you KNOW the SOP, angles dont lie. Force on Force either in real combat or simulated training has shown that an approach with smart angles and proper 360 security prevails whether its an armed and prepared defender or not. The last thing any professional or up-and-coming defender should do, is come across this stagnant outdated info and employ it. Its dangerous and ineffective. Lets get to the meat and potatoes IF there is anything left to add to it. If this series has nothing revolutionary to add in the next few episodes then its a time waster- regardless, I dont see 20 mins of content - as given here- as useful to anyone. Esp when Pros Guide with Gecko actually laid out much more information to get someone started into CQB. If this video came out 20 years ago and preceded Geckos? Okay fine. But with Geckos out already, with good use in the field, why is this garbage given 20
      Mins of air time?

      @@xxCOKERxxPWNxxBro if it’s that deep then the video is not for you, OBVIOUSLY! We know ELI is the prototype, just try to appreciate instead of measuring and keep your voice down.

      @@xxCOKERxxPWNxx Eli is definitely the best, IMHO. But yes, you are right; there are millions of videos teaching this type of basic stuff. It's kinda boring. They always teach CQB in empty rooms without any targets or other open doors inside. I mean, all the pie-ing, first man here, second man there-it’s all good, but if there are two targets inside, all that doesn’t work anymore. So basically, they just teach you how to get into an empty room all the time, which is kinda boring..

    Amazing new series UF PRO!
    I am looking forward to watch more episodes with Mr. Kawa Mawlayee / 2AlphaTrainingGroup!
    This gives me flashbacks to a previous series you guys had with Mr. Eli Feildboy (Project Gecko) back in 2019! That too was an amazing series!
    Best Regards 224.
