    Your shop work is becoming my comfort zone. Wonderful videos and educational insights. The mechanical side of bikes is most satisfying (and exasperating). Rainy day pleasure. Thanx, Mike.

    I love that green '68 Norton. That's what my '68 will look like when it's done. I was originally green but someone painted it Grenadier Red. The inside of the side cover is a metallic green which was a rare option on those bikes. I will get it as close to the original colour as I can. You fall is about a month behind ours. The leaves have been all gone from the trees for a month now here in Ottawa, Canada. Just subscribed to you channel. Thanks for the great videos.

    Those well running Snortin' Nortons reminds me that my first bike (1967 TR6R) was mostly service by the local Triumph dealer mechanic,........who was also a kid of my age who didn't know what he was doing!!!

    It's always a pleasure to join your Sunday morning rides vicariously, even in the fall. We've got the leaves all down on the lawns and roads here in eastern North Carolina and it seems we might even get a real winter here this year. Thanks Mike!

      @@alanhodge984 I'm in Vanceboro, 25 miles from New Bern roughly. I'll have to look at a map and see where you're located, I've been cooped up for a few years due to my wife's illness and passing, but I've enjoyed a good summer and hope to get some serious road miles in next summer. I want to get to Sturgis next summer if I can. Hope to meet you sometime soon.

    I don’t advise riding in the snow and ice but it’s always great to get the bike out when you can as winter encroaches 🇬🇧

    OK, Mike, it is snowing here in Calderdale at the moment, winter has arrived early. Wet leaves can be dangerous, I came off my Sportster on wet leaves in 2011, it was like hitting a patch of ice.

    I like the fall, but I hate when three's wet leaves all over the ground. They're slippery. Gotta be careful turning or braking. Dry leaves can be a problem too.

    Speaking as a neophyte Norton aficionado your garage videos are as instructive as they are entertaining. What, no diplomas included in your merchandising?

    Q: Have you ever produced a video tour of your garage? Since subscribing, I've seen glimpses of it, but never a full overview.

      Thank you, Scott, that’s a great question. I’ll definitely do a tour over the holidays. Planning on sharing a few other topics from in and around The Mighty Garage 😀 cheers, Mike

    Have a random question! I have a 1967 triumph T100C that has been restored and is a very nice bike, but i washed it a while back and now it will not kick over for anything! It did get switched to a electric ignition also. It is sparking some, but just not enough. Any ideas? Thanks

    • @TheMightyGarage
      @TheMightyGarage  День тому +1

      Hi there, you have a nice bike! It's possible that it could be a number of reasons for your bike not starting and it may not be related to you washing it. Here are a few thoughts that you might try: Remove the spark plugs to check that you have a spark on both plugs. You may not see the spark so clearly with the electronic ignition.If you are getting a spark, it's possible that the fuel may be old / bad and simply not igniting. Unless it's new gas, I would empty it out and add in fresh gas. You could also try squirting a little starting fluid directly into the carburetor. If it coughs and splutters like it wants to start, it's possible that it’s a fuel delivery or fuel quality problem. Next you might try checking out the carburetors.
      Hope this helps, Mike

      @bosshogg9758 День тому

      @TheMightyGarage Ok, thank you sir! I did drain the gas. The fuel delivery might be my issue and im glad you brought that up. Before i washed it, it had issues when i would open the throttle it would kill itself. This is my first classic bike and it definitely has taught me alot!
