6:20 I think this might have been a stick issue, he usually goes for qcf 3,4 but instead got f3 and had to adapt a combo to it. Jimmy's combo flexibility is absolutely insane.
doing a misinput in a streamed tournament, and still able to continue it without panicking is amazing, i once did a misinput in a combo, and panicked a lot lmao, Jimmy's straight up a monster
It's not his first time dropping it, it's not ultra hard, but not easy too. He has contingency plan combos for these situations. It's not his stick issue, yall stop licking Jimmy's asshole
@Erykaldo 120 nobody doubts it, people just wanna excuse every his mistake for stick issue. He's a human too, he can drop combos and do mistakes. Also the issue with stick was d/b input.
Egrassa 1 that doesn’t make any sense. There isn’t a d/b input on a stick, only d+b. It’s impossible to play tekken while missing a down, left, or right input.
even if you lab like jimmy, not everyone is able to actually play like jimmy, it shows his talent and experience as well, which makes it even more amazing to watch him play
Jimmy is the reason I've only played Bryan since T7 launch. Being a character specialist really sets you apart from others that aren't imo, you know the right thing for every situation. The right move to use, the right adaptations on your combos. The frame traps, parry set ups. The legendary TAUNT set ups. All of this combined makes my Bryan something to be feared. And I definitely would not be at the level I am if I was jumping around to all other characters. I still know my matchups you learn thier moves after a while getting hit by them lol. Bryan Fury FORVER. Also once you get taunt down what Jimmy did that you had to watch twice i do to people all the time. Some dont learn and will keep tech rolling at the walls, taunt tracks as soon as they start the tech roll and you can literally hit them over and over with taunt set ups in that situation, well as long as you take the time to master the art of taunt.
The problem with that is, Bryan is such a different character then everyone else, that you won't be able to play everyone else lol. I'd pick up a pocket Kazumi if i were you just to brush up on some fundamentals.
@@ev5837 yeah but that's just the thing, I dont want to play anyone else. For T7 I'm going to stick it out with him. Maybe for T8 I'll surely still use him but maybe as a "pocket" character" and someone else as my main. I just love playing him. Esp if its serious play, I'd always go with the Fury.
Idk bud if you’re online you can win most matches simply by being better than the other person. I rarely get matched with people who are so close to my skill that tech and optimization make a difference. That shit isn’t scary, better fundamentals are to me. It’s like knee beating jimmy with Bryan but still saying jimmy has a better Bryan. There is value in being a specialist, but I think there is also value in playing the entire cast which I’ve heard Jimmy and Anakin both do, they just stick to their mains for tournament
Wtf does Mainman be talking about..steve is dead...he is still good..but he is def nt top teir...with all these characters with auto counters steve is at the bottom...b1 isnt that good...
Damn. Mainman must really hate Knee. He didn’t even recognize him as a strog Bryan player. Forget the fact that knee is known for Bryan play, and forget the fact that he chose to play a mirror match against JimmyJTran and styled on him then beat JimmyJ, although they both styled on each other. Made me cringe when he didn’t acknowledge Knee.
What a lot of people didn’t know was that jimmy was having stick issues during DreamHack, so he made it as far as he did with a partially broken stick
"This broken stick only allows me to use 10% of my power."
Why don't they go with two sticks or at least spare parts?
@@mmmk6322 yeah that's actually weird.
@@mmmk6322 Rip had similar stick, Jimmy asked him to keep it ready if something happens. Jimmy played with his own stick, so nothing happened I guess?
exxceeed this was the only time he had stick issues asshat
Jimmy is the one that everyone wants to watch tekken fights.
Best bryan or not you'll definitely know if it's Jimmy's Bryan without even looking at the name
@@theatrix333 lol
@@denis8906 cheers. The laughs are on me
Character loyalists make me excited to watch, but Jimmy in particular is very exciting
3:10 Man he even has backturned wall combos at the ready, that was sick
And the timing on that combo is so tight.

@@mikiemike20042002 d/b is d+b, d/b is a correct notation. Nobody writes is as "d+b"
He's so entertaining to watch because he actually varies his combos and goes for hard stuff. I wish more top players did this...
Hard combos introduce risk for little reward. Most players don’t go for optimized combos because of that imbalance.
@@Pacemaker_fgc Jimmy's execution is on point tho and it shows.
Love JimmyJ's Bryan, one of my favourite characters to watch

When Jimmy J steps onto any scene, you know the match finna be hype 🔥
You should take a look at BoaLuvb vs Jimmy J. Tran - First to 5 in Fight club. Pretty amazing sets.
Imagine picking Steve against Jimmy someone who played Fighting spirit
That doesn't mean he can't lose to any Steve ever. Just that he's really good at the matchup
@@heroesevolved3I don't see him losing to Takes pocket steve
Man Im nostalgic of those, where did that man go? I miss Jimmy so much
I actually romantically love Jimmy
Marry him
Dario Caliri THATS how I feel with jeonding
Bronson? Is that you?
Those extended mag sideburns tho
You gay bro?
Mr.Naps is a real monster with his Bryan. He is just insane
I want to see bilal vs naps mirror
No wonder why Knee said that Jimmy is a better Bryan player than him.
Even without knee saying it, I always thought jimmy is the better bryan, the FT10 they had is because knee is just fundamentally the better player.
Makes TMM excited: Don't you mean "Makes TMM Cuhm"?
Omfg he's frightening as all hell good stuff Jimmy
Man was taunting like there wasn't any problem with his stick
The way TMM says *BANGKOK*
Spero Gin v Jimmy is also definitely worth making a video on.
I imagine jimmy j as a vietcong soldier landing taunt jet uppers on american gi’s.
Those movements and backdashes are too sync on 1:56 hahaha
I enjoyed that
Jimmy himself makes me excited to begin with
Bryan is such an amazing and fun character
Just how good is Jimmy J. Tran?
"Best Bryan in the world" good.

Steve is strong af, definitely not dead, I started maining him in season 3 and I cant even imagine having all the tools he originally had lol.
Went from 3rd dan to tekken god just by watching your vids and learning how to actually play tekken
Congrats.
With which character?
Any pocket characters?
Nice!!!!
Negan :P
Anyone has any source for the cover Kazumi art? Thanks. Tried google image and Pinterest couldn’t find it.
This was a Kickoff not a Soccer Kick
Kickoff is usually called Soccer Kick.
steve was on the peak in season 3 if we compared him with tekken 8
2:29 why the fuck doesn't he do dash 4 1 2 so it gets closer to a wall carry ? ;( Instead he does the dash into 1+2 that double punch to the air
we have 3 americans in the top 20
anakin
mr naps
and shadow
this video makes me consider Bryan
Why jimmu not part of any team?
He's waiting for Tekken to be bigger.. He answered this very question when he was in korea recently during an interview.
The mic is picking up all the sounds of your hands touching the table, makes it hell for headphones
I used to love Jimmy’s King
how did take change both the character and the area in the second round?
He picked the character. The stage was random.
Best bryan in the world
Umer Fury is a fantastic pakistani Bryan player too!
Jimmy plays great tekken..straight up..and yes steve is pretty much dead..
I love Jimmyjtran
I want to sponsor him in the future. #VietnamPride :)
well, CBM and Chikurin's Jin aesthetically looks better than Book's
I just picked up Bryan. Anyone else feel how awkward he is to use?
That's bryan for you, you will get used to it tho

Lol come on. If Bryan's damage is a problem, a lot of characters need to be nerfed before him.
