Fun fact: the explosion didn't used to reach to the escape silos. You could survive even without the rocket and just chill there while the facility explodes.

There is an are in the facility that is safe from the explosion. So if you do not make it to a rocket, you should head there. Be weary though, TMS may shoot you. I know because I AM TMS.
