As Trump looses the elections he decides the best way to keep his Power is to do so by force. As America enters a civil war more and more nations in the World joins in turning the conflict global.
The Millenium Dawn Mod can be downloaded from the Steam Workshop. Its definitely worth a try as it is very well made!

The US doesn't go to war over oil The operations in the middle east cost far more than just buying the oil. And specifically in the case of Iraq the US was under the impression that the oil fields would be burnt if they couldn't be held and expected raging fires and thick smoke for weeks and didn't expect any of that oil to be salvageable. The politicians in the US can't tell their ass from their elbow they're the reason America goes to war.

Yeah, the mapwork was pretty terrible. If a new civil war broke out now, it would be a patchwork like the Spanish Civil War, or Appalachia in the Civil War. It's impossible to really simulate the scenario in a grand strategy game.

China would loan to both sides, then after the war when both sides are unable to re-pay their loans, China would take some land in exchange for extending the loan. They would repeat until they own everything.

I would have to say that in all likelihood China would avoid getting involved in the clusterfuck and focus on supporting influence in Africa and Asia, with Europe and the US leaving a vacuum in global leadership. Regardless of people's opinion of them, China isn't stupid enough to get in a shooting war that involves multiple nuclear nations. Better to keep their economy intact and get themselves into a better position to get rid of the Dollar dominated financial system.
