Actually did this challenge a long time ago, but I decided to improve the time a bit with all the new skips that were found over time.
Unlucky Soul Sanctum, and QGA skip took an eternity...
I'm just happy I managed to do this again.

@@Mushboom37 But it's the fair and well-deserved way to get money based on a work done really well while most game studios try to get the money through micro transactions and paid DLC with content that was supposed to be in a game from the very beginning.
Any%, no 'major' glitches (uh ok), no Geo, no damage, no pins, no maps, no water, no clothes, half oxygen intake, blindfolded, pacifist speedrun

I managed watcher knights the other day with no charms and only took 3 hits. I know that's not a big deal but I was quite pleased with myself. Training for a speedrun and I know that the watcher knights give people trouble when they only have a level 2 nail and 5 masks.
I'll probably still mess it up.

Dark Deepnest....I never thought I would ever hear those words uttered by anyone.
This run only had a small amount of lanternless deepnest thanks to entering from Queen's Gardens. It's even worse in Low% (No Major Glitches) speedruns where they have to go through most of deepnest without lantern: they enter at topright (near the prophet) and go all the down to save at bench, then first they go up to failed tramway to get tram pass and warp back to the bench, then they go left to distant village (which requires traversing three darkrooms) to unlock its stag, then a quick break from deepnest to get the dreamnail while making sure not to rest anywhere since they again warp back to the deepnest bench and finally go right to take the tram. Oh and all this without having dash or crystal dash (nor any charms or upgrades). Ironically they do eventually buy the lantern late in the run, but it's just used to get into crystal peak.

Interestingly enough, beating the radiance, hollow knight, or the pantheon of hallownest give no percentage (this speedrun category requires you to do the fifth pantheon tho)
@@hellboy19991 beating the game doesn't give percentage because you can't save the game after you beat them, afterwards the game starts you at your latest bench, before you complete the game. So if there were percent to be gained, you would never keep it.
Basically there's no point for Team Cherry to leave percentage to be gained if the percentage is gone after you leave the save file.

Ill never get over how good the music score is for the hollow knight fight and how it changes to a more sadder score after each phase

It's funny to me how a game can take someone a wide range of time to complete. You beat it in a little under an hour with no geo, while I have about 80 hours on the game and haven't beaten it yet. Given, it's still my first playthrough, but still
80 hours?! I beat it in around 35 or so
126 hours 107% my first game not on moble. Godmasters pantheons and NKG is hard
Took me around 20 hours to 100 percent.
80 hours on your first playthrough is still pretty slow. Took me 30 hours to get to the hollowknight on mine
I didnt research anything about the game until i got past soul master, by then i was roaming around cluelessly everywhere and that right there added like 40ish hours, the other 40 hours it took me to beat the game were mostly queens gardens, colosseum of fools, white palace, and grinding for unbreakable charms lol. Rn im at 109% and 86 hours on that file and i just started a new one. Idk how i beat hornet 1 so fast my first time lol..

I think the catagory title itself shows the amount of seriousness of this run. Now if you wanna see something REALLY sloppy that still qualifies as a speedrun then watch Skurry's Low% true ending. Its an over 40 hours "speedrun" and trust me its fun.

tried this run, first time fought Watcher Knights with no upgrades but veng. spirit. 'Bugs' with the knights hitting invisible walls or stopping when they shouldn't really ticked me off, and it took around 30 tries to completely get used to how jumps work in HK again.
I guess I don't even need to finish the run, I already felt like I accomplished something impossible for me.

@@whatamidoing6555 yes. I did my first 3 playthroughs and got all achievements with a kb. Just beat the game with a controller and it's just not as good. It feels good, but it isn't as effective.
I did path of pain with it, though I used my mouse for attacking dashing and heal/spells. I tried his way once with all buttons on the keyboard but that made me anxious as fuck, I have no idea how can do it. It sounds like a mechanical keyboard though, and mine is a shit laptop one, so maybe that helps

It removes the fall speed cap (makes you fall faster) and removes hardfalls. Basically it’s just faster

What abilities do I need to beat the hollow knight I've beat false knight, hornet, and soul master can I fight the hollow knight now I have vengeful spirit, mothwing cloak, mantis claw, Crystal heart and desolate dive

You need the dream nail to beat the game, otherwise you have no way to kill the Dreamers and unlock the Black Egg Temple.
