I have a 2 year old who loves to watch Matt's Off-road Recovery. The other day he and I were cruising in my F350 and saw a semi truck with a load of lumber stuck in the mud. I stopped and decided to use my Matt's Off-Road Recovery Rope to try to pull him out. After a couple of pulls I had him out! My son LOVED it. He kept saying in his 2 yo english that we were "like Matt". I had my doubts about pulling that guy out but thanks to Ford and Matt we got him out. Every time I drive by that spot my son reminds me about it.

I have not been to the Hurricane sand dunes, but have spent over 20 years at Dumont. The California sand in the deserts, like Dumont and Glamis, is blow sand, just like Hurricane. There's 20-30+ year old Toyotas all over the place still being daily driven with upward of 400k miles on original equipment, never saw a Jeep do that. Same reason you don't see many Jeeps being used in the harshest climates on earth, you see more Toyota than anything else when lives depend on it.
I applaud the people who go off road with 2 wheel drive👏! At least they are getting out there. Most 4wheel drive vehicles never leave pavement.
MATT Those Pixs Of Jamie and Lizzy are EPIC :-))
Here's what I need. I need Matt, Paul & Robby to all put out videos on the same day. That's what I need. Thank you 😉
Hey editor I like the conversation during the recovery where they are strategically making plans it's not as personal when you put music over the recovery part and quick stream it all together but I'm just one person out of 950k subscribers
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery sometimes the ones that you think "meh" on turn out great!! Who would you have called if you went belly up out in the dunes?
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery in that case I will let you slide this time .... the videos are good but I think the best part is actually thought process and the well that didn't work let's try this it's just more like real life cause nothing ever goes as planned we like to see that everyone fails a lil before they succeed
@@richparker3048 I bought the recovery rope diecast banana and a hat. Then I bought a big yellow truck to match my yellow rope. Building a four-by-four rig. Inspired to get back in four wheeling. @@kennethhudson176 lol, great of you to "let him slide".
Cheers!
My family and a few other families did annual trips to Pismo Beach. I remember as a little kid trying to dig holes in front of the tires to try and get the trucks stuck so we could stay longer. Thanks Matt for sharing your wonderful family with all of us!
I can’t believe y’all went all the way to California that’s crazy cool recovery’s though
Looked like everyone had a blast at the dunes as kids!! Lizzie almost looked like a lawn dart off the swing,😂. Matt ,I'm with you on the dang gravity thing !! Seeing where people get stuck sometimes, it's a blessing in disguise they didn't make it any further than they did !!! I
Your video productions have gotten so much better... LOVE this channel and the entire cast.
When Ü said Dumont dunes I had to search my memory bank! O'Yes that would have been the spring of 69 I was there with some buddies in our sand buggy's!! Nice place and the creek was running then!! Thanks for the memory!! 👍🏼
An absolute amazing video with the drone footage ! The United States has so much beautiful scenery. It's got to be awesome doing something you love and getting paid for it.
Matt you have the best crew of people ever. Y'all must be family God Bless y'all in the coming year
This is one of the few channels i know of , which is 100% truthful to the quote !
"When passion meets work , work becomes a hobby" .
Seriously i don't see this man and his crew working. All i see is they having fun.
The shot at 1:49 is super cool! 😎
Gotta put your cameramen on quads to keep up with the MORRvair. Very smart ❤️🐞
How fun to see pictures of little Lizzie! Love that you took time for a little play to relive old memories and make new ones.
Love the camera work! All of you are becoming like family. Never miss an episode. Jim in San Angelo, TX
You guys should design and build a ski/sled rig to be able to put under the side by sides, Can -Am mavericks etc... front or rear wheels to be able to drag them through the sand with a bridle when you have those calls. I bet you have alot of calls for those type jobs. I'm a welder and self taught engineer that is constantly thinking up ideas in the offroad world. lol. Love the videos and what you all do as a company and family.
When Matt jumped off the swing I thought they were gonna have to dig him out and pull him back 🔙😂🤣
Time for the morrvare, got them straps called Matt’s straps for nothing. Yank him out and boing across the dunes Matt flies. LOL
your rigs go everywhere.... "gravity got a pretty good hold on me" ... what a hoot !
California sand trap looks a little different than sand hollow you got em out happy holidays from GA
Those dunes are crazy soft sand.
With zero ZERO experience have you ever considered having paddle tires to switch out for deep sand recovery? No I haven't priced that all out nor figured in the swap mechanics in site. Great video.
Living in Cincinnati the last 34 years. Moved from SOCAL in 65 as a kid. We camped beach mountains and Salton Sea and Joshua Tree state park as a family. I've got pictures at Salton Sea in a crib in the sand around 57 or 58. Sweet memories.

"Thought we were going to get tacos but apparently we're getting a Tacoma" 🤣🤣
THIS is why drones were created! Good lord! More epic than a 2 mile shot over Queens Sunny Side Yard in NYC seeing 4 trains coming from 2 different directions (including an Acela with its big central lamp). Sand dunes and pure blue sky wayyyy more beautiful than anything in a city.
Matt that 5.3 sounds so good. You all did some bang up work on the morvair. Love seeing your vids they're always awesome! Happy New Year's to you guys and gals.
Doesn't it though that morveyor sounds pretty sweet
Great video Matt. I've shot a few commercials and movies out there in Dumont, and you picked the right time of year to go. Im glad you guys didn't end up out there in the summer like we did. It was other worldly hot punishing to crew and equipment. Keep up all your great work
dang those drone shots look amazing!
Drone footage of that recovery and the dune-scape! Amazing stuff - just love your work team
Is anyone surprised that Lizzy was such a super cute little baby? On a cute scale of 1-10 she was an 11!!
i can’t believe that you don’t have a “rigging” to keep those front wheels straight, a 4X8 sheet of plywood would make a foundation for a skid. Love your show and, you got em’ out

I absolutely love what you all do. I'm thankful for UA-cam because it allows me along with thousands of others to "tag along" on your adventures and feel like part of the MORR team. There's somthing about the loving, caring, calm and happy demeanor you all have together that makes your jobs seem like fun, blessed and amazing times and not just a job or "work"! I live in Northeast TN and love my mountain trails, but Utah would be a fun place to be with all of the offroad places! God Bless you all and Thank you and especially Trevor's camera skills for letting us tag along with you guys and gals!
Wow. Now, that's impressive (dunes). First time that you folks have actually indicated that Lizzy is one of your family. Thanks for the video.

Yes! Lizzie looks so tough, I've been wanting to see her do something athletic, and in this episode we got to see her jump and play volleyball. I think 22 is gonna be just fine.
Love ur videos guys you do such an awesome job and have come so far keep up the good work 💯😋
Loved seeing the old VHS footage!!
I cannot imagine the towing bill for this recovery but being that there's absolutely no services in Baker and very few in Barstow I wonder if there were none closer in Las Vegas. I have towed my fair share of buggies in the dunes but none like this dead weight and so far back.
I kept thinking, Welcome to Dumont Dunes, where the sand is 200' deep and 60 degrees steep!
goodmorning everyone, hope you have a great day!
I just spent 3 days in Cedar City, drove there from SoCal for Christmas, how ironic. My first ever trip to sand dunes was to Dumont Dunes with my friends' family on a Suzuki 125 four wheeler. It couldn't keep up, but my buddies shared their 2 stroke Yamaha Blasters with me which was really fun...Great memories of that place. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the audio clip of Only Time by Enya. A great song long forgotten and now in 4k.

You guys are a joy to watch. I really enjoy your videos. Getting my friends and family hooked on you guys too. Always look forward to the new MORR and Fab Rats videos most of all.
Paul and Matt posting on the same day! This is a rarity.
No its not
Yeah they mostly post on the same day all the time. Paul didn't a couple weeks ago because he was on a road trip and he said he had bad service.
Excellent photography. You're really showing the area well. And it has been showing the terrain that you deal with. Well done.
HOW IS A LONG-TRIP TOW AFFORDABLE FOR THE CLIENT?
$40,000 machine, $9,000 to repair the damage. --- You either leave it there or pay Matt to recover it. ---
Sometime people have to pay a lot of money for entertainment, like driving in the sand dunes.
Thanks guys n Gal, it's great to see such a close family business working an having fun together. A new fan from n Ole Fella from Downunda.
Rudy just casually pulling a wheelie for about a mile.....
I’ve just recently found your channel in quarantine and have been binge watching it all the way from northern Indiana! A video showing you guys cleaning the morrvair and banana after muddy rescues would be super cool! God bless!
Matt, how does the California sand compare to the "Her-ah-kin" sand? Is it more coarse and easier to maneuver?
I have not been to the Hurricane sand dunes, but have spent over 20 years at Dumont. The California sand in the deserts, like Dumont and Glamis, is blow sand, just like Hurricane. It is incredibly easy to get stuck in if you've never driven in sand before. I've seen full size 1 tons buried to the frame just on the flat land.
All this time I wondered who was Lizzie, a family member, a family friend, God Bless ya Lizzie and ya all at Matt’s off road recovery. I enjoy everyone of your videos and characters. I’m in NY I don’t know if I could make jamboree there, I might have to call for a recovery from who knows. Keep going you might end up with your own TV show!
She’s Matt’s really good friends daughter.
So is Matt really the nearest recovery option or are people just looking for ways to get him to drive forever to get them?

It's obvious that Lizzie has been a family friend for many years so I just have to ask what the relationship is to MORR. Nice stroll down memory lane out there in the dunes.
