  • I'd never have known that the yellow brick road in some sense of L. Frank Baum's novel leads to Bloomington, Illinois where his niece Dorothy Gage, is buried and was the namesake of Dorothy Gale in his most famous novel, The Wizard of Oz. And it seems only fitting that a real-life munchkin that had worked with Judy Garland, would come to replace the withering headstone for Baum's niece shortly before his own death at 89 years of age. But best of all is the chainsaw carved oak tree statue of Dorothy and Toto by artist, Bill Baker. Anyway, a fun journey not far from my hometown and inside of a beautiful and fascinating historical area!

❤❤❤ The Wizard Of Oz is my all time favorite movie! I’m 56 and as far back as I can remember, I had never missed watching this on tv every year!
