  • Neighboring the historic Moravian village of Salem is the Salem Cemetery and Moravian God's Acre. In the previous video, we introduce you to God's Acre and, here, feature some of the lush landscape and art within the later Victorian Age incorporated Salem Cemetery. Of particular interest is tobacco king, R.J. Reynolds and family, which is quite a life story of industriousness, innovation, social consciousness, and family in a time where tobacco still lived more purely as a product and craft. It is truly a lovely escape of a place nestled just inside of a place that lives quite busily otherwise and can't wait to come back sometime soon. Add to your own visit by checking out Lot 63 coffeehouse in Salem and finish with a dinner in the delightful train depot setting of Sage & Salt! #history #cemetery #Winston-Salem #food

You always manage to find the most unique stories to tell. Looks like a lovely place for long romantic walks.

Sorry, I meant to say Reynolds was born in the 1850s not 1750s.
