I use their Runners Kit Bag regularly. It's a bit more minimal, but I love it. I've been thinking about getting a larger one. That SAR model is pretty nice.
Sometimes I carry a knife in the pistol compartment. I tie the end of the sheath to the loop so I just have to pull it out and it's good to go. Great breakdown, Craig. Good ideas here.
Which of my books did you pick up (I have written 3). HOpefully you already have Kevin's book too...he did a great job with that one. Yeah Man I love these chest kits from HPG. They are simple and useful and bomb proof...trifecta of kit.
@@NatureReliance I have Kevin's book, still working on it but I've bought a couple of other coos for friends too. I have your navigation book that you showed in the video
cool psk. you should write a gear book telling how much you like in a pack section. where did you get that ruler, i need one for my nav kit. Semper Fi.
What is the maximize size in inches you think can fit in that firearm compartment? What’s the width of the set up you have in there now and do you think it can fit more?
I ended up adding a Lil Larry (Nebo Light) in mine. Small, light and fits right into the webbing on the front. Got the idea from Patrick Rollins over at Randall’s. A lot less expensive...will see how it holds up.
Nah it holds up well. Anything you need to keep dry will be in a quality ziplock bag anyway as it should be. Some dude on ebay also sells a rain cover that looks kinda like a shower cap. If youre very concerned about rain that works great at keepimg everything nice and dry and it packs down like a bandana.
I spent a fortune on this specific chest gear rig, plus the shipping to my country but for the older model that does not have moles inside the pocket and outside the bag. Hill People should design this product as it is today from the beginning. I am disappointed!
This is just what I was looking for. Thanks bro!
That is one squared away kit bag. Great video.
That looks nice and well made.
Thank you for sharing the information and your knowledge with me. Much appreciated, cheers!

Best organizated chest rig on youtube.
Wow, thanks!

I would love to find one of those good kydex covers just for the trigger card to do that. What are you using for that?
@@NatureReliance it's a knife sheath, not a pistol holster. Old Polkowski pug. Great blade. Sheath is a friction ck only, so i just pull and it's out.
@@NatureReliance The Dale Fricke Zacchaeus is perfect for the trigger guard. I have one that works with my pistol, with the light attached.
I believe I just read your article in Backwoods mag great article in the new survival guide
You may have, I write for them each issue, sometimes 2-3 articles. Great magazine with great info!
Awesome review on a piece of gear I am researching! Small world, Craig is my middle name and Caudill is my mothers maiden name. Be safe.
I just bought a ranger green model!
Great video !
Recently got your book from a recommendation from Kevin Estela just need time to read it
Just got one these rigs. Looks like a great piece of kit

I wonder if it would clip in to a mayflower APC
Nice video!👍 Is it waterproof?
Water resistant but not water proof. I spray my down with the same spray I put on my tarps to help it stay even more water resistant.

Semper Fi.
Evident for the ruler. I have several of theirs.

what is the model name of that dream light? and where to buy this item please?
Why do you carry a rite in the rain pencil and yet dont carry a rite in the rain note pad
One was free, the other was not

I carry a full frame G20 in mine and there is plenty of room. The pack press down nicely on the back compartment when closed.
Everyone overlooks zip ties. They weigh nothing and have unlimited uses.
My eyes are up here. COJILLT
did you stitch your name on the front to the rig?
The front has a loop strip across the entire top. Can then add patches and other hook items.
Good pack and video, do you have any more detail on the light? I think that needs to go in my kit as well.

Can anyone provide a link to that light at 3:30 or what I can search to find one? I cant find anything like it, just molle pouches for regular torch.

THis is the SAR kit bag
@@NatureReliance I know. But what size is it? There is medium and large

Might want to know.
Passing the word.
All the best and happy holidays!
Chinese made vs USA made...I will take USA erry day.
Bonjour is it usefull ?
Yes, I believe so.
Ok Merci 👍
Did you cut the tab off that condor admin pouch to fit your battery?
NO actually it velcros in and out and I just took it out.
Seems like light rain would get right in and ruin everything in 30 seconds

You ordered a different bag then. Because this exact bag is still available on their site
@@NatureReliance When I ordered my bag, this bag wasn't there. The bag you have shown us is the new version. I have the old.
