      Give it a shot! I must stress if you ever try it, do NOT use the rolls of pex tubing. Paint will not adhere to it. Buy the single straight pieces. I had some people reach out with this issue. Good luck and thanks for watching! 🤘🏻💀

    I heard you say that you use wood posts to stand up your fence.
    You could also use rebar stakes in the ground, and seat your pex tubes over the top for more stability. Thanks for the inspiration!
    I'm going to use some of this idea on my display next year. ❤ 🎃

    Hey Jamie, thanks for the great tutorial! I just got done building 50 ft of fence today and it looks great so far! Question: i can't get the paint to stick to the PEX at all! Tried latex paint and it just scratches right off, also tried HDX pain and primer spray paint, but that just flaked off as soon as I dried. Going to try and sand with 220g tomorrow, it's just so many bars 😭..Any suggestions?? Thanks again!

    • @crazyjoezx
      @crazyjoezx 4 місяці тому

      Update: reading through all the comments I see someone else asked this exact question! You mentioned you used "quick color", When I search for that in the HD app I just get the HDX spray paint, is that what you used? If so, was it the one without primer? Maybe that's why I'm getting a different result 🤔

    • @crazyjoezx
      @crazyjoezx 4 місяці тому +1

    I was going to do a PVP fence for this year. I have about a 120ft fence I am making, was thinking a pole every foot. If I go with the 5Ft pole like I planned that's about a 300 Ft spool, my worry is since I am not getting it already straight are they hard to straighten. Or should I just bit like double the cost and go with PVC.

    • @NewEnglandHaunter
      @NewEnglandHaunter  4 місяці тому

      @@TheXerosyn PEX tubing is relatively straight. I don’t buy it in spool form. I get the 12 foot pieces. I hope that helps answer your question

    • @crazyjoezx
      @crazyjoezx 4 місяці тому +1

      I got 3 of the 100ft spools for my fence since it was cheaper and they didn't have enough precut. The guy at HD said it would straighten out, but that was a lie. I left all 300ft unrolled and made it as straight as I could in the south FL heat for a few days, but as soon as I cut them into the 40in bars they curved back up. I ended up adding a 2nd "top bar" 4in down from the main one. This helped it straighten out a little bit but the bars are in no way "straight", but it does add to the spookyness so I'm fine with it. I'll try to post a pic here to give you an idea of how it looks

      @@timcoulson7340 thanks for the question. I use what is called “quick color” spray paint. It’s super cheap at Home Depot, it’s a flat black paint.
