This is wild for me to be watching right now. Just came home from what seems to be an identical trip. We stayed at the same Marriot, saw the same sites and swam with the rays. We feel much like you do, there is something magical about Hawaii, and especially the big island. Love all your videos, but this one certainly felt special for me.

We just returned from Kauai late last night and this was waiting for us. We have been going to the islands for about 20 years now pretty much every year, with a break during the COVID shutdown. We've done Mexico and the Bahamas however we keep coming back here. The islands are all different. The big Island with it's volcano and the diverse differences between the wet side and the dry is amazing. Oahu with it's big city feel and Maui that has changed alot from an agricultural paradise to vacation land. And then Kauai where they roll up the streets at 9 o'clock every night. The Garden Isle is our style, quiet and laid back. Glad you found out for yourselves!

We've been watching you for years and will be moving to PNW and getting a Nordhavn soon...but right now we're in Hakalau, on the Hamakua coast and welcome you to visit if you like!! Over 10 years we sailed our 50' catamaran from England to New Zealand. We missed having dogs so we finally bought land on this island and built our home. But for many reason we will be leaving and moving to Canada. If you have the time we'd love to meet you in person, you're welcome to spend the night if you like, we have a guest room!!!

I never dived with the Manta Ray's in Hawaii however the resort I stayed at had an observation spot set up with lights shining into the ocean. The Manta's would swim into the light to feed. Very beautiful... Actually awe inspiring and so graceful.

Really enjoyed this video since I too love the Big Island. Feels like I saw the sights with old friends. Only problem is so many other things to do (e.g. 3 volcanos, several tropical gardens, several Hawaiian history parks, and helicopter tours) you’ll need to come back.

I will say this, an amazing dive trip to do is called Pelagic Magic at Jacks Diving Locker- check it out for next trip. Shocked Sean has never done a night dive before. Great video.

I won’t invade their privacy by sharing their boat location: suffice it to say, I came across their location by accident. As best I can tell, they haven’t done much cruising for several months. Life is good , or as good as you can make it. Kona is our go to for sure. We dove with Jacks on our honeymoon . Night dives are scary to think about and exciting to do. 35 feet deep with 10 boats and 80 divers was amazing . We had 9 rays come in and the biggest one was 12 feet across 1000 lbs ! Funny thing today is we are sitting at home planning our trip this summer to Hornsby and Desolation sound on our MacGregor. Thanks for bringing back all of these memories as your videos are the ones we enjoy the most. So tasteful and perfect music to sooth my concussion brain and tinnitus. We went to Hawaii back at the beginning of April and stayed at the same resort area (Waikoloa Beach) and did the Hala Tree tour and tasting. Would definitely recommend both!
