We Built A Tiny Gaming PC!

- Today we’re diving into the LattePanda world with the “Mu” model that comes with a Intel Celeron N100 4 Core 4 Thread and it’s tiny! The best part is this kit has a motherboard that accepts a graphics card. So today we will be loading Windows 11 Pro (Yes it’s natively compatible!) onto this custom built mini PC and installing a low profile RX 550 4GB to see what games we can play!

you can play old games via steam, but the idea is other things on such pc, no, not ideal for games but can run emulation for old consoles

The issue with those RX550 low profile cards is that the cooler is nowhere near sufficient - the card thermal throttles HARD…(only a modded cooler can unlock it’s full potential)
that n100 only has sngle channel memory, so even more limitations
for these games is not ideal, is more for emulation of old consoles, and for web browsing, small projects, not for these games really, but at least we could see these things, so expensive for what they are

It's amazing how well efficiency cores/tiny cores are these days. On my VIA C4650 I can't get above 30 FPS in Counter Strike, no matter what bideo card i have in there.

A slightly better CPU/GPU would make this a serious contender for budget ballers. If someone just wants to build an inexpensive PC, try this:

I didn't list every component so anyone can choose them according to their availability. That said, the used market can have some great buys for those interested.
I'd rather wait and save more money to have the satisfaction of knowing hard work and patience is more important that scraping a few dollars together for instant gratification on something that'll leave you wanting more in the future.
This system has a niche and I'm sure some will be able to tweak this and be happy.
