Thank you for your feedback Westmc 😁
Actually I'm using them in the genoa and jib sails furling lines and they work perfectly. 👍

just competed the two I needed and wanted to tell you about a trick so you dont have to buy fids go get some Knitting Needles that is what I did and cut them to length and diameters can buy them in many different sizes maybe like not more than 2$ each@@VeleroMissRegina

Thank you for the trick Westmc. 🙂
Sometimes I also use knitting needles, of course cheaper than splicing needle set 👍

Cool! I wonder if the vulcanizing tape and heat shrink tube over the whipping is an overkill?

      Hi Bradows Funky,
They have multiple uses, for example to replace blocks, or for the furling system line of the genoa, or jib.

    1. why are you not using fid instead of needle and tape? - so much simpler. 2. That dyneema loop is not secure enough to withstand a lot of load.

      1. Of course it is better and easier to make the loop with a splicing set, but the idea of the video is to do it without specific instruments.
      2. On the other hand, this Dyneema loop holds a very high load.

      Hi,
They have many uses. Most commonly it is to replace conventional blocks. And they really gives very good results. For example in the genoa furling line. 👍
