In Australia we got the Vacuum Kit when you purchased a BG56/86 but the 86 I believe is the only one with the metal blade. I believe now the vacuum kit is no longer included....😢 I heard in Australia it’s about $20 for the blade as a spare part, I asked my dealer if they could do it but they said It wasn’t necessary. Haven’t tried it yet it’s all in a box, was hoping to buy a second hand one and just use it as a vacuum.
Fellow Aussie here. Literally bought a blade from my Stihl last week for $19 from memory. I asked about the free kits and he said vacuum kit was thrown in as a special during different promos over the last few years. Not sure if or when they’ll do it again. You can still purchase it but doesn’t include the blade like it did years ago. I’ve used the vacuum without the blade and now with and I think it makes a big difference having it.
@@warwickbourke I would agree with that as it’s plastic. I have a few vacuum kits I brought on sale, just if you can get cheap do so, thinking of how much a replacement bag would cost, or sell them but keeping mine at the moment. Thanks for sharing your experience and results with the blade. I hope it makes easier, hence sharing with community 🇦🇺❤️
I was lucky enough to be given a kit from a friend that will never use it. I’ve never really looked for them until now so I’ll keep my eye open because the bags sure are pricey. Thanks mate 😁
@@warwickbourke a Mitre 10 store closed near me that was a Stihl dealer a few years ago, I had cheap $99 Dollar blowers that I had to return for warranty claims at Mitre 10, after 3 years of changing blowers I said next time give me a Stihl BG 56 and I’ll pay the extra. The last time returned the cheap blowers, they gave me $130 return after 3 years of use as that was the latest price then just paid the $129.00 and got bag with it. I don’t know RRP of bag kits but yeah f you can get one cheap do it.

The SH56 used to come without the blade but now it’s included
