As a 9 yr old on a family holiday in Weston Super Mare, in 1951, we were walking through some woods nearby, at Uphill. We could hear a very loud throbbing engine noise above. Eventually the immage of a very large silver plane emerged through the tree-top gaps, travelling very slowly, estimately, about 12 thousand feet up. I immediately recognised it as the Brabazon.
This was a nice format and an interesting take. Almost wished you put a little bit more info in there but that might be just me ^^. I'm a sponge for weird.
Thanks for your comment. I'm trying to keep the videos short, about three minutes, so there's that limit. I also had trouble finding public domain images of the aircraft. But it's fun and I'm getting the hang of it.
Thanks for the interesting video. I smiled at the puffin currency. Maybe they pictured the plane on the stamps because it is quite unique looking and attractive in a way. 🙂

Wow, what an amazing experience. You saw a little bit of history.
I collect British locals. The Brabazon stamp is part of a set of 6 stamps. It also comes imperf in changed colors.
Yes, I only had the helicopter one as well.

Thanks. Not sure why they used that plane, but it turned in to an intriguing story.
Mr harman was a very patriotic man .
Yes, seems to have been an interesting character.
