Regency Village cinema in Los Angeles was the first THX Ultimate Cinema. It’s a classic 1931 palace. Big screen, dual 4K Christie laser protectors. And a superb THX/Dolby Atmos sound system.
The deep note in this variant actually sounds a little bit better than the regular one! This one seems a little bit closer to the one used in the Science of Sensation, Broadway Classic, and Broadway 2010 trailers.
Santikos Embassy has been hereby partnered with THX for the very first time ever! Enjoy seeing movies in THX Ultimate Cinema! That's how I see the future!
0:54 once the THX logo is shown it continues to zoom away and a blue box (similar to the Broadway rectangle) surrounds it, the text "ULTIMATE CINEMA" fades in, then it fades to black.
@TheRealmOfShadow funny you say that, I’ve been wanting to make a DVD/Blu-ray project called THX: Archives from the Reels where a lot of THX trailers on film are remastered in 4K without color correction. I made this comment before in a video of mine that was a posted to one of my friend’s accounts, but I’ll say it again here. Usually when something is brought back, it wouldn't be as good as it was before, and in this case since we have newer sound system things like Dolby Atmos, THX certifying home media probably wouldn't be as useful as it was back then. In fact, the reason I thought of wanting to make THX: Archives from the Reels is exactly that. It’s not just about wanting to get a lot of THX's old stuff and bringing it back for people to see. It's about bringing THX itself back to home media in a way. As Sound Sack said in his own words, not mine, “THX's brand name started to lose a lot of its luster because they would license it to virtually anything, and as a result, it doesn't mean quite as much as it used to to the public.”
Imagine this happening at the Santikos Embassy! Or the Live Oak Regal Cinema! Or even the Warren Theatre Chain, I believe. Or even the NeoSonic Theater Chain, a Drive-In Chain? A Home Theater Chain? Even More? And More? And More? (I wanna die inside)
I feel like if they were to team up with a movie theater chain it would be Cinemark, because their Cinemark XD has THX sound systems installed in their theaters. So if they wanted to, they could rebrand the XD name into THX Ultimate Cinema at Cinemark and literally save both companies millions of dollars.
@@largeformatmaster2994 Makes total sense. Cinemark owns San Francisco Bay Area based Century Theatres. And Century at the time was a mega multiplex theater company unlike any other in the world. All locations equipped with THX certification and also equipped with Dolby Digital, SDDS, and DTS sound. Ever since Cinemark bought them out it's not what I remember. Just a corporate takeover of a company that featured state of the art facilities and a one of a kind movie going experience.

A 2nd THX Ultimate Cinema theater opened in Copahengen 2 years ago.
For English-speaking viewers, this was recorded in the FNCF congress in Deauville.
Like, I can't tell whether I'm looking at CGI Animation or real life. That's how good it is.

Maybe they combined the Deep Note sounds from Amazing Life, Cavalcade (T2), 2000, 3D, Classic remastered & TSOS.
According to the Audiovisual Identity Database, this variant of the trailer uses the '05 Deep Note
Why does this feel so great to my ears
It just reminds me of a Logo Remake competition (Doesn't Exist) in a Theater room
Imagine this at a Regal Theater, a Santikos Theater, or a Cinemark Theater in San Antonio starting in 2021. 10.2 surround sound everywhere
Nah dawg we talkin billion-channel surround

Me too.
now i know what it feels like to listen to this.

And I'll exhale slowly and form an X.
Me too I say mom WHY!! YOU DO THIS TO ME WE WOULD SKIP!!! AND I START TO SWEAT
0:44 deep note playing slow with stop starts until it plays normally

REGAL AND SANTIKOS SHOULD PARTNER WITH THX, ALONG WITH AMC.

@@largeformatmaster2994 That's a great idea! Regal Cinemas is a Dolby Digital theater. So, Cinemark is a perfect choice for THX.

@@mackenziewachter2508I thought that's AMC.
I haven’t seen a THX trailer in a Cinemark XD theater so it might be rare to see a trailer occurring before the start of a film.

FAKE THX at FAKE cinema.
If it's fake then why is it literally recorded live on camera? Also it IS a REAL THX at a REAL cinema so you can't say it's fake.
This isn't fake. This was recorded at the Regancy Village Cinema in Los Angeles California, the only(at the moment) THX Ultimate Cinema in the US.
