I remember seeing one of these planes fly into the airport when I was learning to fly at the age of fourteen. I was mesmerized then as I am now by this beauty. I remember the pilots were a little on the crazy side too. Perhaps it was due to the lack of blood reaching their brain. It's amazing that civilians can own these planes.
I've been in aerospace engineering and development (military aircraft avionics) for 30 years and THIS is on my bucket list... not sure how I will get there... but I can dream...
Just save up, 15 minutes of flight in this plane cost something like $1900 in the Czech Republic where this was probably shot. Not something to splash cash on everyday, but definitely doable if you really want it!
How long flights can you get in this airplane with you folks? Are there any specials available if someone is more interested in some hands-on time versus being just a hands-off passenger, and perhaps for a bit longer than usual, and would there be any special requirements for that? Awesome either way, I keep bumping into your videos...
+Mythricia hi - first of all great that you like our videos. We offer different flight durations. And you can control all our jets. Just tell the pilot that you'd like to get as much stick time as possible.
Our T-38 tng. west of Vance AFB OK, USA (Class 80-02) required all maneuvers to be 10,000' or above. The vertical airspace was 10,000-23,000' for the T-38 and a lower "floor", was it 5,000' (?) required for the T-37 "Tweet". We did none of these airshow stunts. Beware of something most laymen would not imagine:...the #1, top graduate of Class 80-02 at Vance AFB, the superb pilot George Cansler was killed several years later in Montana, flying a small, slow Cessna 172 with a few guys as passengers (they were looking for a place to hunt?). Just because a person is excellent at high performance flying does Not remove the more subtle dangers in much lower performance aircraft! Never mind over mountainous terrain with density altitude factors, One engine and no ejection seats.
Ehh it's not that much when you think about it. It's not something that'll become "outdated" in a whim, or just get washed away with the next years releases like a lot of games. Although I would say it's probably worth waiting for DCS 2.5 or so, when they get "proper" multi-crew airplanes. The current way they make multi-crew is basically a giant hack, and it's not particularly great. It should def be improved once the F-14 is released, along with the updated multi-crew tech they've made to support it (and thus all the other multi-crew aircraft too).
+Chris Hent Hi Chris. Es sieht leider so aus als ob die Flüge in Pilsen vorbei sind. Wir haben aber zwei deutsche Standorte mit deutschen Piloten. Gleicher Jet, gleiches Erlebnis.
You could pick up a second-hand L-39 in flying condition for roughly 90,000 pounds if you know some dealers which is bloody good if you compare prices.
1600lbs at 5g's ? I'm pretty sure if you are THAT heavy to begin with, you wouldn't likely fit in the cockpit. Nor would anyone want you to !! lol You'd be apt to Fart in the cockpit or something ... and that's Not Allowed !
The trainer can also be used in light attack role and there is even a dedicated light attack variant. Surveillance ... depends on what you mean by that. If it's just "fly over there and look what's happening" then sure, it can do that.
What a baby. I've pulled 7Gs without a G suit in a L-39 here in the States. Kvarda must have been laughing his ass off with this guy in the back seat. 4 Gs' is nothing. Shadow, I was told 8 is the max +. Not sure on the - Gs'
+GT182/66GTO -4g it is. It is pretty remarkable how different our customers (and TV guys) are when it comes to G-Forces. Some sporty young guys are destroyed after a bit of Gs or even rolls - and then you have these retired, unhealthy guys who you feel they are not going to survive the ride - they surprise you as the pilot looks more exhausted after the flight than they do - they come out with a big smile. Women are usually tougher when it comes to G-Forces. They can stand more
Most of those were aileron rolls. In any any case most rolls are no to low excess G maneuvers. Most real men can tolerate up to 5 G's before even feeling any real effects.
most untrained people will pass out at arround 4-6g thats not weak at all. if youre older or weaker in general you can even pass out at 3g easily. its standard. if youre a pilot in the military you train hard to get to a point where you are able to pull 8-9g in a dogfight and even then its extremely taxing on your physical endurance and you wont be able to do it for too long. its the same reason why f1 drivers have to workout a lot so that they dont get into trouble with the huge g forces when taking corners. next time think before writing a comment like this =)
When gliding I pulled max 4gs, that doesn't mean i did it consistantly, it was max. Although I could handle that it still felt taxing on your head as you get a headache you never really have experienced
Yeah!! Typical! They forgotten teaching you breathing technics very important by g forces and compres your body muscle pulling the blood! Against the g forces! This is the trick !!
Are you troll or just an asshole? L-39 was fully developed and constructed in Aero Vodochody and has been never produced outside of the Czechoslovakia.
Omg dude stop talking shit cause that´s ridiculous. Might sound interesting to your average Joe but anyone who knows a thing about military aviation laughs when they hear that the L-39 was perfectly designed for ground attack missions.
U better watch your mouth mr.NoBrainUser .. this plane was born from geniality of Czechoslovak engineering .. with used experiences from L-29 "Delfín" ..
Seems like a very skilled and humble pilot. Inspires confidence.
Vladimir Kvarda! He was my instructor on L-159B. :-)

IT'S AMAZING PLANE.👍🏻
Opportunity of a life time. Good job and great flying
That looks like so much fun!

Awesome! I flew with gliders many times, but THIS .... looks like the real deal!
It always amazes me how these pilots are so used and strong to these moves like as if the G's were nothing.
What a ride!
Such a pretty bird
Nice landing... and.. I want too!!!!!
damn beautifull ..
+Captain Price thanks
Chance of a lifetime,
Gotta do your legs, too. 😁😁 I’ve done a sustained 6G in an Extra......love to do this in a jet.
Wow, what a fantastic video! :) It was Aero Vodochody military airport, near Prague?
Wow. That was all pretty low to the ground. That surprises me a little bit.
+carcy007 well we want to have some fun ;) If you think that was low - check ua-cam.com/video/G4vxSsnI-qg/v-deo.html

Hi MiGFlug, I was in your website but I was wondering, do you wear oxygen mask or is it only for the MiG-29 flights? Thank you! Love your vids!
We had this plane to train pilots in Afghanistan my brother learned also flyong in this beauty✈️
Very nice! Is he still flying?
To be honest the L-39 and L-29 are underpowered but they are still pretty cool 😎
How much and I would love 💘 💘 💘 💘 💘 💘 💘 it .great video how long the flight...I love to fly something like this..
Do you offer the flight as a paid service? How can I reach you guys? I'd love to do this.

Very well
How much if you want to fly with the L39
thank you for the answer
Nice video, I love L-39 Albatros. Definitely an aileron roll, not a barrel one. Confused a lot. I was too not so long ago.
Nice looking plane... wish to fly one
You can if you want to. Give us a call

There's also a module for DCS for the L-39ZA, if you're in to flight sims.

Look for discounts and alternative places to buy like G2A. I got mine L39 for 16 GBP which is much less then a half of a regular price.

Hey what's the difference between doing aerobatics in this and an extra 330 ?

Gleicher Jet, gleiches Erlebnis.
anyone know how much this costs?
So what does a flight in that little bugger set you back??
About 1000$ in Russia.
!!G suite??!!!
Afghan pilots called iT Mercedes in Sky
I did an aerobatic flight in an Extra 200 pulled plus 6g minus 2 the minus was worse for me. I could not drive for some time after!!!!
It looks like the plane from one of the Pierce Brosnan Bond movies.
You´ve right ... Tomorrow Never Dies

i feel like the breathing and tensing your muscle exercises shoulda came before they got in the jet lmaoo
Considering buying one of these. I am not sure why I need one. I am 44 so I guess it is the ultimate midlife crisis.
Get the L-39 ZA. It comes with a nice MG as a bonus. Much more fun.
Its made in Czech Republic

That "Strange Feeling" is you realizing how out of shape and weak you are... That's all...
Nothing to do with being out of shape.

Wow...900kph. Let's put that into context shall we...that's the speed of most commercial passenger jet aircraft😐

That looks like it was fun. But at 5G's i would weight 1600lbs or so.
+taiming71 and with some flights our passengers had up to 9.2!
+MiGFlug Isn't the max G's +8/-4?
+ShadowOps15 In the Albatros yes
1600lbs at 5g's ?
I'm pretty sure if you are THAT heavy to begin with, you wouldn't likely fit in the cockpit. Nor would anyone want you to !! lol You'd be apt to Fart in the cockpit or something ... and that's Not Allowed !
lol yaa you are probably right. 6 foot 300lbs

It is used for Jet training!! I don’t think why you expressed that it can perform surveillance missions!! It is no way
