Thanks for the interview Dr Lee and Dr Da Paz. I can't see how this lateral disk alteration will be sufficient to make the spine flexible & mobile enough to get the correction in stiffer/larger curves with ASC . Also not cutting the ALL would that not make derotation a lot harder to get a good correction and take the torque out? Where is the evidence for the success of this method in maturing or mature spines? I am not a doctor but a physical sciences person. Is there a way I can contact Dr Da Paz to get some clarification on my questions? Thanks again
Yes, evidence for the effectiveness of ASC for mature spines is lacking but here are a few recent published research articles: online.boneandjoint.org.uk/doi/abs/10.1302/1358-992X.2021.11.016?fbclid=IwAR3S4VouThtBqfqokEaOT_ALj5PDgz73TzmZFGXaWFmTEIE5vvObGAX-Tkw esmed.org/MRA/mra/article/view/2632
