Ambulance boxes are built to protect the people in the back in the event of a crash there are numerous strong points throughout the frame of the box and they can be very strong .
Hey cowboy I'm a loader operator at an auto recycling yard in Connecticut next time you are trying to crush the corner of one of those ambulances or something like that try starting with the forks up high and tilt them down at like a 45 degree angle so you can use the weight of the machine and the force of the tires driving forward to help crush it once it starts to go tilt back while going down and it should pop those sturdy corners on that box

you just like to go back and forth all day and burn up fuel. you had it in the first time. if you would have pushed it in a little more on the other end and crushed it down you could have taken it out and turned it around and crushed the other side. you just love to play with your loader .
@@CowboyCarCrushing yes it is and its very entertaining to see thing crushed down to nothing. but its not to see a front end loader going back and forth. you have plenty of things to crush there . after you crush an ambulance through in a few cars. you had another ambulance right there or for a gag you can take your loader and grab the bosses car or any car that is looking drive able and put it in the crusher and call him out or say the sweeper is your boss to see it in there. just tell him you have a problem he has to look at. the people will laugh there asses off. you will go viral with that one. i can tell your cool with that loader and can handle any thing that comes your way but people love the crunch part . to me seeing that crusher come down and the sound of crunching mettle is so satisfying to me. you have a great combination there your machine and that crusher.
That truck body could have made a good storage unit. Seems like everyone is quick to destroy and throw away things that can be easily repurposed these days. It's built stronger than a tough shed ! Oh well !

Don't worry it's a trial and error process one day you'll find the best way to deal with them we don't get ambulances like this I would love to get hands On one to convert into a camper box like that an easy mount onto a chassis for custom hauler maybe when I .I've over
In my experience none of crushes the same. It's a little different each time. I do pay attention and willing to try a different way. If there was some repetition we could learn something

Why didn't you take all that wood out? Wood and metal don't mix and lowers the value of the crushed bundle. You would've been doing the owner a favor if you had told him all that wood has to go in a dumpster and he knows that he would get a better scrap price out of it without all that wood in it. I just don't know, Cowboy, if I was crushing that ambulance I'd tell the owner all that wood has got to come out.

They must be super keen to get rid of these if they're willing to take a chance that the steel mill might reject the load because of too much wood in it or knock a chunk of money off the scrap steel price for sending it in with the wood in it. I might just have an opinion, but these folks should know that clean steel gets a way better price, if you haven't already loaded and shipped them.
Louisiana doesn't have counties, they have parishes. So it's not a Louisiana sticker. I couldn't get a good enough look to tell for sure but I think maybe Michigan.
The problem is aluminum doesn't crush like steel, it rips, cracks and breaks. I see some scrap outfits just using big dumpsters for this stuff so it doesn't matter if it's all kinds of loose pieces.
I know nothing about crushing cars I have a question that might be the answer could the top be cut off low enough to where it'll fit in the crusher or is it to reinforce to cut ? Or heated enough to where you could bend them with the loader and then smash the roof down?
