thanks for the video!!! Looking to get one!
That's Awesome !! I was looking for another RDS for my M17. I have 2 M17 and only one has the Leupold Delta Point.
How do you like the delta point on your 17? I picked up an m17 the other day and thinking of either this or the leupold for it
Eotech is angling to get the DoD contract for M17 and M18's since the DPP cuts are on all of them, yet the DPP itself has issues, crap battery life, and is just plain a really old design. Just like the rest of their product line, civilian sales are secondary for Eotech.
I really like my 6moa DPP. That's what I run on my USPSA gun. I'm very interested in the EOtech
Cool video 😎
Eotech, great optic, about 6 years ago. No enclosed emitter, no Eotech ring around dot reticle setting. Eotech should’ve looked at the Holosun 509t and thought of how to improve it? 🙄
How bout the fact there are are dots with shake awake. 🤔 this is so underwhelming from eotech and I bet the price point is way too high. I missed the $$$ unless he didn't say it.
EPS carry is the newest holosun coming in June
@@BrandensOutdoorChannel I don't use red dots on my carry anyway but that is good to know for those that may. 👍🏻
I mean not everyone wants to support companies that build their products in China
@@bradenmchenry995 everyone owns things from china. There is no way around it and just because it's made in china, doesn't mean it's bad quality.
So good! We're testing a sight right now, if you're interested I think we can talk more about it
Zeroed mine two days ago, next day dot was way right and seems to have lost zero. Also Eotech only gives you screws that will fit to mount directly on the slide so if you plan to use it with a plate you will have to find screws, good luck finding small enough m4 type screws. I wanted to mount it on my M&P but the screws Smith supplied they cover the battery compartment. One would think Eotech could supply two longer screws since not all slides accept a dot without a plate.
I had the same problem on my build. I had to get different screw that would not hit the battery door. You would think they would provide the common screws needed like most optic companies do.
My next RDS!
Or you could just mount it to a G43X or G48 MOS. It's a direct mount for those. Same for other shield footprint slides.
I’ve been looking for a dpp Glock 19 slide but they’re all expensive as heck. I wish brownells made one
My Eflx was sent back for a possible battery drain issue. Had it for 2 months and my battery already died. Not sure if the original battery was just trash, but I just sent it back to get check anyways.
Waiting for the day they can put holographic in a small package such as this. Thank you sir!
Swampfox kingslayer is exactly what your looking for. I have one on my mini 14
Why don’t they use the ring with hash marks and center dot reticle?
Will this fit on a S&W Shield plus?
Did you ever get one of these to review? If so how did it hold up?
Does the dot sit up high like on the Deltapoint, or low like on an RMR? I understand the base is the Deltapoint mounting design, but curious about dot height.
I have the same question. Curious if it will cowitness with suppressor height sights. Anyone know? I contacted Eotech’s customer support and they don’t even know the answer.
When I emailed EoTech for more information on this specific product they were not enthusiastic. I specifically asked if their would be independent reviews popping up prior to the expected release time hyping up the new product and giving consumers an insight and they said “no quarter 2 release.” So I bought an RMR yesterday because of EO tech horrible customer service. If they are giving me limp wrist email responses and can’t answer questions about a product I really doubt they stand behind their product or warranty it if it came to that.
@@generalneyland4005 at 500$ for a slide for new optics cut and 400$ for an optic some of us like to do our research.
@@generalneyland4005 LOL!
So ur butthurt and ur hatred has 0 to do with the actual product? U ppl to invested haha sad
Eotech makes a Vortex Venom.
Lmao 🤣
They did the DPP footprint to try and compete for a possibly military contract imho.
Will this work with a PCC??
Anybody think this thing would be ok on a shot gun (benelli m4) if you can get a picatinny adapter
Waiting for your Holosun EPS carry review
me too. I'll be replacing my 507k as soon as it comes out. I was going to get a 407k for my Ruger mk4 anyway. So it works out. Although I'd love am EPS and EPS carry with a Vulcan reticle. It'd totally replace my 507c Vulcan with it.
Just finished a comp'd p365xl build and waiting on EPS/EPS carry release. May just cave in a get a 507k green to hold me over
@@project86xero You can get 509 with ACSS vulcan reticle if you're replacing the 507c
@@project86xero i want the eps carry because it's for my ccw M&P Shield Plus 4". with enclosed optics, i don't have to worry about dust getting on the emitter.
@@ph00ny1 June 2022 look out for it. i emailed Holosun for the release date.
And the catching up to Holosun, continues onward. Don't stop guys!
Not even close
RMR is still better then Holosun. Gimmicks don’t make it better.
@@Three60Crusader Shake awake, multiple reticle and solar are not gimmicks, they’re valuable features. I own both Triji RMR and Holo 507 and they’re both great, but if I could choose only one it’d be the Holosun. Those features are very practical and useful. They should be standard on all dots by now.
Any idea if it’ll fit on a staccato?
Yes.
No shake awake? This would have been the best red dot of 2017
It's going after a dod contract. The dod doesn't want shake awake. Simple.
@@project86xero Maybe yes...Maybe no.
Can’t wait to get it. Price point is on point!
The open emitter if a deal breaker for sure.
Much larger sight picture and less glass means more light transmission and a brighter sight. I see no downside to the open emitter design, consider that most people aren't taking their firearms out of the holster in pouring rain, a sand storm or a blizzard.
@@anthonyfanella6523 you have obviously never gotten lint in your sight. On a rifle it isn't as much of an issue, but for a concealed carry optic I would rather have a little less light making it through my glass than draw my firearm and need to blow lint out of my optic before I can use it. Had this issue during a handgun class. I couldn't just use my iron sights either, because most of the glass was lit up because the way the emitter was obstructed by it caused it to basically throw a blob of light instead of a pinpoint. Even worst would be a partial obstruction where it is simply deflecting the dot instead of completely blocking it because then you might think it's all good and miss horribly. If I'm going to trust my life to something I want the least possibility of something going wrong with it. I have a holosun with an enclosed emitter and I have never had qn issues with light transmission or sight picture.
Wish it was a rmr
I'll stick with my Holo 507c..I've had for 5 yrs..and if it ever breaks..I can get another on sale for $180
🤣🤣🤣🤡
@@jhh600 y laughing?
I'm with ya some people just go for name,I got romeo 0 on my shield plus, looking to try holoson soon but I don't belive paying for name,ex.rmr cc 700.nope not I...
I’m not picking brands here but I think aimpoint Mount is a great universal option all sites need to migrate to one or two mounting options. All the options are just to hard to accommodate. Plates are janky.
for real, Optics manufacturers need to get together and settle on one or two footprints.
@@chickennuggets2929 all plates could be attached to a universal aimpoint mount. This way no older optics become obsolete. All newer guns come milled for the aimpoint foot print or something similar. It’s time to make mounting easy.
EOTECH $$$$$$$$$$$$
Right, but at least it's not made in China!
No way I'd pay that much for it. Is it parallax free at least?
Did u just say a small projector red dot paralaxx free ? Haha stick to ur holosuns u clearly don’t know 💩 about guns and optics 🤣🤣🤡
Done at not rmr footprint...
It's so weird that they are only doing a dot and not their patented circle dot....
I wanna like it so badly. But battery life and not enclosed (doesn’t protect emitter) I think make it less desirable combined with price. Might be good for some.
20k-25k hours not good enough for you?
@@ACGBLR I saw a 16(!) pack of Duracell lithium 2032's at Costco for a little under $10 a couple weeks ago. How 2+ years on a sub-$1 name brand battery isn't adequate for someone is beyond me.
For that price it better be perfect out of the box! Wish they would be a qtr that price
Poor lmao
@@jhh600 huh? 🤡
So let me get this straight. You don’t have one, they didn’t send you one, you can’t preorder it right now, and it may not be available for months? WTF are you doing a video for? All this info is available elsewhere, and most guntubers showed it to us at the time of shot show. What a pointless video.

These sights are non existent now. Can’t find them anywhere.
Negatives sometimes outweigh those positives. 3 moa being one them along with the DPP footprint. EOtech being this late to the red dot game should of done some better research. Also concerned if will be able to get a witness with suppressor sights. Hope they didn't mess that up as well. I will pass on this optic. To many better options out there
They went with the DPP footprint in obvious hopes of getting a government contract. It was a very smart move on their part.
If you're using a RDS it's not wise to cowitness with irons.
@@TerminalM193 Right. Until your rds stops working and you can no longer properly use your iron sights. I’ve literally never heard that it’s “not wise” to cowitness your rds, some people don’t prefer it, but to say it’s unwise is just inaccurate.
@@Miaminative1399 Your statement shows very poor knowledge on the subject. 95% of trainers and experts that actually teach RDS on pistols from basic to high level spec ops will all say that a 1:1 cowitness on a pistol with irons is extremely inefficient and only a very low level handicap. The very few that recommend it are doing so for extremely novice shooters. Also, if you had any real practice or training you would understand that the irons are now there for backup situations where your RDS is down for whatever extremely rare reason. I personally like the 10/25 yard rule where my RDS is zeroed at 10 and irons are at 25 since irons have a much larger margin for error. This is why suppressor height sights are a thing of the past and why everyone goes with BUIS sights that take up anywhere from 1/4 to 1/8 of the RDS window. Taking a RDS and throwing it on a pistol just to cowitness with the irons is not only silly but it's extremely inefficient. I recommend that you get some proper training and brush up on current literature from trusted sources before trying to come off as if you know what you're even talking about as far as accuracy is concerned. Generalizing personal preference accuracy with those that don't know how to properly use the RDS platform only further dilutes the vast amount of improper, outdated and just plain ol wrong wrong practices.
These are already cloned on aliexpress…just a heads up.

Another open emitter reflex pistol optic... Why? Closed emitter optics are the future.
The dod contract they're going after didn't ask for that. That's all. That's why it doesn't have shake awake either. The contract says no mounting plates. Which leaves out the acro. Not sure you can make a enclosed emitter that fits a Delta Point footprint without a plate. Holosun did it with the rmr footprint. But the delta has screw holes much farther forward.
@@project86xero the Romeo2 manages to pull that off, but only because the enclosure is an add on piece screwed in on the sides. It’s also over twice the price…
Yeah this optic is dead on arrival.
Doesn't eotech or their people pay into anti gun rights ?
It’s downright appalling that this has the name Eotech on it. With the hundreds & hundreds & hundreds of millions of dollars in products sold year after year after year & tech advances over the years, THIS is what they came out with.?..?..?.?.?
It’s absolutely pathetic for an organization with such prominence would even try to sell this to their customer base. Whoever the office personnel is that was responsible for the oversight of this product should be fired immediately. How in 2022, can Eotech be so far removed from reality & their customer base that they do not make an enclosed emitter pistol optic as their first launch into the market? It didn’t have to be holographic, a basic LED 3-6 MOA enclosed emitter with anything even remotely close to the profile of their world renowned battle proven optics for rifles could have flipped the whole market on its head. But instead they offer you basically an Amazon profile decade+ old design at premium price.
Mid to low 300s is not a premium price for an American made optic.
The design is that way because that's what the DOD asked for with the m17-m18 optics contract. This isn't for us. It's a bid for a government contract. So chill. Go buy an Aimpoint or an RMR.
Yes and meanwhile u bought none and invested 0 and all u have is an opinion 🤣🤣 I bet u carry a g3
@@project86xero shocker, but making two products is possible. Don’t try to feed me your trash because you want contracts

Open emitter, what a load of BS. Closed emitters or bust.
EOTECH’s first venture into reflex technology. Looks good.
Yeah, if this was 2016
@@themeltingpoint3867 Some of us just want a simple, rugged dot. If it has close to the RMR's durability with a street price of $370, a lot of people are going to be okay with that.
@@mikeharvey9184 the optic is larger than most offerings today with a short battery life when the industry standard is more than double at 50,000hrs, no shake awake, no auto brightness, no reticle option, and not using the most common mounting footprint. Just maybe they went a little TOO simple. Like Sig, Vortex, and Holosun has been offering all those features for the SAME or discounted price point for years now, you just can't release something like that in today's market and expect people to buy it just because they slapped on an EOtech logo. You're essentially paying more for less.
@@themeltingpoint3867 Here's the thing, if I'm swapping batteries once a year when I swap out the batteries to everything else I use, once battery life reaches a certain point, anything beyond that becomes kinda moot. The same applies to shake awake... it's a useful option, but only when battery life is poor. If I can leave it on for 2+ years, but am swapping batteries annually, it's not really a useful feature. Reticle options are a person choice, and I don't trust auto-brightness from personal experience. And the optic ready OEM slides for every major manufacture are either pre-drilled for the DPP footprint, or include it as an option if they use their own proprietary mount system... Sig, Glock, S&W, FN, Beretta, Walther, and CZ can all use this on their optic ready guns right out of the box. It's only on aftermarket third party Glock slides that you have an issue. And since this is pretty squarely aimed at military and LE agency sales, aftermarket Glock slides aren't really a priority.
If this has RMR durabilty (or even just close to it... and that does remain to be seen...) at a DeltaPoint Pro price, this is going to be a big hit, especially among the non-Glock guys.
@@mikeharvey9184 I don't think I could ever understand someone that's trying so hard to justify the down comings for a multi billion company that definitely has the funding and resources to bring a good product to the market, but instead coming out with something that you'll pay more for less with the primary goal of fishing for a contract. You go ahead and pray it has the durability and play the battery game because it's life will always be lower than what the box says when used in the real world, while the rest of us will buy from companies that have the history in this market space, have the proven durability, and keeps the market competitive.
