Thank you. What a fantastic video. And fantastic step by step instructions. Thank you.
Great video mate, very helpful. Ive just done mine and your video made it very easy!
Saubere Arbeit!
Thanks for such detailed review of service operations it'll really save decent money on maintenance and repair and the owner always does it better quality for himself than a mechanic in a shop. Would you share the part numbers for these works as they are hard to find on the internet, please?
Chapeau 👌

You mean oil filter🤔
@@mechanical-MAT no the oil filter isn't what this section was about 😅
Dose 8-9 N*M was right for sealing the gasket?
@@girbilmusic3446 haven't had a problem with leaks since so yes.
another great well filmed and informative video, i know from personal experience how time consuming working on this engine is, so the fact you have filmed every process must have taken quite some time, kudos to you on that! did you also replace the spark plugs? when my mito was misfiring it was due to the gap on the spark plugs, the gap was huge. i was lucky that my father has the gauging tool so once i shortened the gap i noticed a significant difference, also my lambada sensor was BLACK. replacing that made the car feel brand-new again. i must say the lambada sensor has to be one of the most forgotten about components thats critical for smooth engine running. once again great video, keep them coming. us mito owners need all the info we can get as the internet does not have much info at all for us driveway mechanics lol
excellent work it was worth waiting, keep us inform here do you have misfires after this work, respect
Thanks! Replacing the Microfilter and getting the right oil did the trick, engine runs great again
Thanks very intresting
OIL INFORMATION:
Just use the Selenia Multiair 5w40.
Talk to your local Alfa Shop that knows how to deal with Multiair. There are many different opinions online about what's fine and what's not. Trust me. You don't want to test any experimental oils with the Multiair.
Thanks for watching though!
The multiar filter you need to change how often?
Can I replace it and keep the same oil in it?
I guess my mutiair filter must be original, I have done about 50 thousand kilometers since I have my car and a never change it
@@gowap97 There is no specific number how often you should change that filter I guess. You could just do it every 3rd oil change or so.
It is recommended to drain the oil pan before getting the filter out, otherwise you could make a huge mess in your engine bay.
@@itsaboutcarsyt thanks man 👍
Nice c bro
You should have cleaned the Bosch pressure sensor 0281002931 and Bosch boost pressure sensor 0281002437 while you had the wiring stripped down. I cleaned mine and the engine was smoother.
Great video 👌🏻 would like to see a video on chip tuning and all the others you mentioned. Are you planning on doing anything with the turbo?
Yo thanks, yes there is a plan to go for more power. However the car will get me around corners faster with better brakes and tires, and a new suspension. If that's done, let's see what's next
@@itsaboutcarsyt epic! Look forward to seeing it happen. Thinking of coil overs with new swaybars?
Hello. Do those spark plug seal tubes will fit on 1.4 t-get, not multiair?
I’ve been using Castrol 5w40 in most of my multi air engines 99,000 miles of use. I change it and the oil filter every 5000 miles like clockwork. Works well. These engines are very sensitive to clean oil. The owners manual says to change the oil when the idiot light comes on, which is about 9000 miles. Not going to happen. Oil is cheap. Engines are expensive.
Hi, really nice video, thanks for the advises and the precision of explanation.
I would like to know the OEM of your multiair filter. I have a 1.4 giulietta multiair 170cv 2015, but i cannot find the multiair filter oem on the online avaible FIAT EPER.
how did you get your correct filter oem?
Hey, thanks! So there is only one filter for the 1.4 multiair I believe, so the same of the mito should fit yours. The OEM for that would be 0055238665. However if you search for "multiair filter Giulietta 1.4" it should be fine
Did you have problems with oil leaks through the gasket?
Very nice video ..and finally a video in language which i understand :D How is the overall reliability and overall longevity of this engine ? I currently own a grande punto with fire engine, but i want to buy a giulietta with 1.4 multiair. Have you seen any multiair with for example more than 200K Km ? Im a little worried since its the same block i have in my punto but it has almost double the horsepower. Thanks in advance for reply.
it's reliable so far only thing to worry about is the multiair unit itself (video about it soon). Other than that I had no engine problems at all. Just minor things you could have with any car :)
I have a fiat 500 with 1.4 multi air motor 124k miles. Trouble free no valve noise, no multi air problems. I am going to change the micro filter!! Thank you for a great video.
Thank you very much bro, I got a Jeep Compas with same motor and ther are 0 videos in spanish about this
@Tarquin thanks bro
Nice video, how often should a MA filter be changed? Thanks
There is no specific time to do that. I recommend every second oil change, however if your multiair sometimes fails you can do it more often
Depends on the previous maintenance. If oil has been done within the correct intervals, there's no need to replace it. If it has been skipped or some sketchy oil has been used I recommend to replace it immediately.
I just found oil on cylinder 1 and 2 (spark plugs sockets). Giulietta 1.4 tjet. Engine works fine, without missfires and faults. It just the question of seal/gasket under the valve cover?
Or the ignition spark tube seal
What have you done at the turbo when draining the oil (right after filling in the motor clean) ? Do you have to drain oil there, too? Where do you buy the MA filter here in germany - local dealer? I have a Fiat 500 0.9 TA it's a different MA filter there but it must be changed too...never heard about it before your video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Good luck
@@itsaboutcarsyt Achsoooo :) danke.
How’s the mito is doing? The misfired is fix?
For a while it did, however already have a new multiair unit and will do a replacement video about it soon
ItsAboutCars awesome thanks!
It’s probably Ignition coils replace three out of the four on my 1.4
Nope it's been the entire multiair
We're the multi air filter?

It's a great engine.but too fussy for me...I'll stick with the old fire unit
