    Thing with George Clooney, he was already rich. Grew up with famous rich parents. He had connections all over in the industry and if he never made it he'd have a wonderful rich life. Suzanne... from nowhere to somebody! Kudos to her 1000x.

      Sometimes you wonder if she was approached sexually by any of these Hollywood people & others who ended up to be famous like Johnny Carson promising her the moon & the stars. Carson was known to be a male whore. It’s not only a competitive but a cut throat industry. It’s a wonder anyone wants to engage in it.

      That’s the case with most of the entertainers-their relatives were famous so they got their foot in the door without great struggle. Rosemary Clooney, George’s relative, was a famous singer, actress who became prominent in the early 1950’s. And the rest is luck because not all talented people get recognized. Look at all the sports contenders that never get picked for the professional leagues. There’s only so many that get picked. Many are always rejected. A person can even be unfairly rejected if they don’t like you. Too many variables even if you’ve made the best choices & did the right things

    • @OklahomaGirl
      @OklahomaGirl 8 місяців тому +2

      @Laura-hk4th No, it was to state a fact of what happened during that time. I have listened to the producers as well as the creators of three's company tell their side of what happened. They did not tell Allen Suzanne was out they said they would give Suzanne $10,000 more a show. Allen refused. They explained why they couldn't pay her what she was asking. Suzanne came to all of the rehearsals for the first show of the new season and then no showed for the tapping. She said she was sick and couldn't tape but refused to let a doctor see her so the show could get the insurance money for having to cancel the tapping. She did not come in for rehearsals for the next show. They had to rewrite it. They did what they had to do for the financial stability of the show. Suzanne was probably playing hard ball to try and get $150,000. Suzanne sued the production company at the end of the season when they didn't renew her contract. She lost the case. These things happen in any business.

      She survived and thrived--despite her alcoholic, abusive father--because she had coping skills & and a therapist--until that therapist said, "You're ready." Suzanne always had that drive which ended up being the reason she hadn't spoken to her counterpart on Three's Company. Joyce didnt have that business or entrepreneur mindset. Thankfully, Suzanne and Joyce reconciled several years prior. We are blessed for actresses to now to have a voice when it comes to making more money as compared to men. She got the bogus message that women were still thought of as dispensible.Three's Company never got over the loss of Suzanne Somers. It wasn't as interesting, and even her initial replacement was written out without notice. Look at how far women have come since then. Lucille Ball was very similar--having built a huge production company--and was likely an inspiration for Suzanne. She was brilliant in saying, I'm not bowing down to the medical machine of Western Medicine. Look at Eastern medicine and how healthy they are. There are different ways to thrive and look how long she lived with her aggressive breast cancer.

      My husband was a severe alcoholic, although he’s been sober for years now, my sweet beautiful daughter is dead 😢
      I wonder if I would have known more about Suzanne’s life & books if it would’ve helped both myself & beloved daughter!? Idk, but finding out her wisdom helps me continue on now. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I so love inspiration & wisdom from Suzanne. Admire her determination very much. No! Her old man Alan came up with that story but that’s not the way it went down! The producers wrote her off the show after she refused to show up for rehearsals after her husband’s financial demands were not agreed to!

      She lived a happier, fuller, more energetic and productive life refusing chemo. She refused to put herself through that and instead took the natural approach. It worked for decades. She would not have had quality of life using the traditional method of staving off her cancer.

    She keeps thinking she was three's company. The problem was she wasn't. John and Joyce was. She doesn't tell everyone that she didn't show up to work the first 2 shows of the season. She also has to always take a jab at Joyce. She must be jealous of her.

    • @jlbaker2000
      @jlbaker2000 9 місяців тому +3

      Look who's talking about being jealous. She just wanted to be paid equally to male actors. Please don't make more out of it. And she WAS Three's Company. Stats proved it.

      @jlbaker2000 I believe the ratings got just as high, if not higher, than when she was on the show. Fame went to her head. You need to listen to the producer's side of the story.

      Suzanne was Three’s Company! The show was never the same when she left! What did Joyce do with the rest of her life when the show ended? She had sour grapes. She refused to make amends with Suzanne. Suzanne took it to the bank and made a beautiful life for herself and her family. Kudos to Suzanne!

      @@kimi6767 It appears that you were a fan of Suzanne. I am very sorry for your loss. However, cutting down Joyce DeWitt for taking a different path in life and openly admitting she fought depression isn't right. This is one reason I had an issue with Ms. Summers. She always criticized Joyce. Joyce never did that through the years. That is true class.

    So cancer won anyway in the end. It makes me wonder what if she went the way advised? What if all of her organic foods and skin care and life style? She said cancer returned quite a few times over 28 years. I think she did some risky things that in the end didn’t pan out, and fake hormones are known to cause cancer. And I don’t believe everything her family now says because they were not honest throughout her illness.

    • @nstowolosow
      @nstowolosow 9 місяців тому +4

      She used bioidenticL hormones, not " fake". The name says it all: the body sees them as it's own. She lived 23 years after her breast cancer operation because of the choices she has made.

      LisaRachelle, You can’t look at it that way. Living almost 30 years after her surgery and radiation treatment shouldn’t be discounted, quality always beats out quantity. I understand her reasoning for not doing chemotherapy at the time, she choice the route of lumpectomy followed by rounds of radiation because the tumor removal showed clear margins and her sentinel nodes were absent of cancer cells. When you’re diagnosed with invasive breast cancer you’re presented with choices, doctors will advise the patient of the treatment protocol(s), but in the end it’s always the patients choice as to what treatment course is right for them.
      We’re not all mentally wired the same way, one person may choose the lumpectomy/radiation route and another person will instead choose the mastectomy because they would rather not subject and expose their body to 25 rounds of radiation. Ask me how I know. You have to respect other people’s decisions and feelings, it’s their life.
