I tried the same formula as presented and I loooved my hair colour. I also tried roots touch up în between bleaches and I love the result:
- formula 1 for roots: 30% Lumishine 8SB + 70% Lumishine XLN + 20 developer
- formula 2 for the rest of my hair (except the ends) : Lumishine XLN + 20 developer.
The natural tone of the roots is 4, 5 and it's like 40% grey. The result? Excepțional. I love Joico since the first use. 💚

Beautiful result question- Why didn’t you use the 9nv 10n mixture roots to ends?
I am confused, how did he avoid "hot roots" ? shouldn't the hair closest to the scalp have been much lighter than the mid length?
1. He only processed her for 30 minutes
2. He used more developer than lightener, amd used 20 vol so the lift wasn't as strong as it Would've been had he did 1-1 ratio
Also if you look very closely when he applies the toners, she did actually have a bit of hot roots but they were so light it wasn't very noticeable.
My theory if the ends are level 10 , hot roots won't really exist because the said hot root is a also a 10, but this only works if the ends are already lifted to 10/11
