My husband dumped me with 2 kid’s he took us to a different state and stayed a year and then left us there with no car no money and no place to live I had to work 4 part time job’s to support us until I finally found a full time job the only problem was I worked all the time and had to work most holiday’s I was hardly ever home. My son went to live with his father my daughter stayed she’s 44 now and I’m 65 I’ve always apologized for the way she was raised because I was hardly ever home recently I apologized again and she said…….I didn’t mind the way I was raised ( me 😢 ) I could never do anything for her that was any fun no birthday party’s ( I worked in a county nursing home ) not any fun stuff. She made sure that she was able to do the fun thing’s with her kid’s that I couldn’t give her I told my grandchildren your mom made sure that you could do everything that I couldn’t do for her when she was growing up they are 17 & 13 that’s when she said to me……I didn’t mind the way I grew up that’s when I cried 😢 She was left alone so much but she never ever did anything to make me mad or disappoint me and she never ever spoke to me like most kid’s do she was never disrespectful to me. She did do little thing’s that you find out later in life but she didn’t do anything to hurt me I’m very lucky ♥️♥️

This was a special video. So many people in modern days do not have the support of a good parent. It makes me sad to see and read about kids in foster care. When I was growing up we had a neighbor who kept foster kids. They rotated in and out of their home constantly. It was so sad and broke my heart. Luckily I had both my parents even though my Dad was a victim of vehicular
manslaughter when I was 18. I was leaving for college the next day and some friends had taken me out for a farewell dinner and we came upon the wreck on the way home. Dolly speaking of her wreck brought Dad's back up to me. He wasn't speeding or breaking any laws. He had been to watch my cousin pitch in a baseball game and was on his way home. He topped a hill and the guy was in his lane. He didn't have time to do anything. He was only 41 years old.

@@lydialily846, thank you for your kind words. It was a rough time for me. My mother fell apart and I had to plan most of the funeral. She and I chose the casket and I did everything else. It wasn't an easy thing for an 18 year old to do. My brother was 15 months older than I but he disappeared and was no help. This was the last week of August 1971 so I have had a long time to adjust to it. I must admit that the first semester away from home was really hard. I begged Mother to let me stay home and go to the local junior College but she said I had my heart set on going to The University of Alabama since I was five years old and I was going. My bags were already packed so off I went a few days late. I met my husband the night before Christmas break so it was a good thing that I did go on to school. Had I not the chances are that I never would have met him and we have had a long marriage and two fine sons.

I no longer have those opportunities anymore at my age, but, if I looked like HER, I'm sure I would have! I'm a couple years younger...though nowhere near as beautiful or glamorous. You two light up my day. Loved Sassy and miss her and I have to say that she did a marvelous job with her children and Dolly you did a amazing job with yours. It warms my heart how much Gio loves and adores you and your mother. It is the most precious thing as a human. Money doesn’t buy any of what you have but you are the dearest to take such amazing care of your Mommy and Grandma. You all deserve the very best. Bless everyone. 🥰❤️🥰❤️

Dolly is an amazing woman for all she's been through in her life just like sassy Grand was. We all worked hard and deserved better treatment at our jobs. Hopefully that'll change today with all the strikes going on and people wanting a fair wage and wanting to be treated better. Love you❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏.

Dolly, you are an amazing, beautiful inside and out. I love hearing your stories of your life. So inspiring. Gio, you're truly a wonderful son. My daughter is like you, who thanks me all the time. We do sacrifice for our children, but also teach them to be good people. ❤❤🙋‍♀️🫶

I’m liking you two more and more each time I see your videos!
Your mama was a hard worker with good standards. I’m proud of her for standing up for what is right!
It’s nice to see the presents that people send you!
You’re both very good people. Not superficial at all, down to earth and a close knit family that’s been through a lot and made it to the other side.
Thank you and may God bless you both.❤️🙏🕊🦋🌸😊

Wow-Dolly-you worked at a meat plant!
So did I, but fortunately in the office.
Working in a meat plant is hard and dangerous work, done at a cold temperature of 30 degrees.
Thankfully, most are unionized with good pay and benefits. A “lifesaver” for single women who can do the work-bless you for working so HARD!!
As for the green (spoiled) meat:
shame on your agriculture inspector for not tagging it and pouring the proper chemical over it to render it unsalable and eatable.
Thankfully, you were there to STOP it!!
See the interesting conversations we can all have when we talk about our past jobs?
Crazy to think you and I have a “meat plant” past….!
    Great, topic, Gio!
Great, chat, you Two-as always! ❤️💕❤️

I agree about inflation. I am a hard working Registered Nurse/Medical Case Manager. I am single so I struggle with the cost of living sometimes. I feel very blessed though. Thank you for your encouragement. You bring so much joy into our lives. You remain in my prayers. God bless you. ❤
