Thank you Mark for this thorough review. I watched this after making the purchase (backwards i know lol) but this video confirmed for me that I made the right purchase. 👍
Yes you can. I’m assuming you’re trying to use a hardwire internet connection through your phone.( This will work with the primary usbc cable plug into your phone with an Ethernet plugged in) but If you’re trying to just have a phone plug into the usbc PD slot with an Ethernet plug in the Rj45 jack then your phone will still charge, but will not have internet.
I'm looking at their 8 in 1 because they actually came up with a new version that has 10Gbps USB ports. My two caveats is that all three USB ports are USB-A, if one of them was USB-C like on Anker hubs, that would be perfect. Also, the SD card reader is said to only have USB 2.0 (60MB/s). With how spec'd out this hub is I don't understand why they put only 2.0 card reader in there. Without these two things this hub would be perfect. But in my country the Anker 555 (8 in 1 10Gbps) is 95€ from Amazon and Baseus 8 in 1 (10Gbps) is currently 31€ on Aliexpress, and it's basically the same hub with even better build quality! I wanted to get the Anker because it should be a reliable brand, but you can't beat the price of the Baseus and I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on that one.
Hi man, does the dock support 144hz 1080p? I have a gaming laptop with thunderbolt and wanted to know. I would use the dock for when I bring the laptop home, not having to connect hdmi/Ethernet/mouse/keyboard/usb headset every time would be a time saver! Btw, I subscribed!
I bought the 7 port and USB adoptor I dont have a C port on my mac book and it doesn't work. It is flashing blue, It doesnt show it is charging, I was told this would work.. I am past the return date. Any Ideas on how to make it work? Maybe a different USB connector?
have you been able to get this working with 2 ultrawide monitors? It isn't recognizing my 2 lg 29 inch ultrawide monitors. That need 2560x1080 for both monitors display resolution. Anyway, any help you can point me to is appreciated... there is very little clear information to handle this online... maybe why i don't see many ultrawide monitors.
Thanks for this. I just ordered this and then searched for a video. Appreciate it.

Very nice. Reads the SD card from 2 times higher than the primary usb card reader from TRANSCEND
I used in smartphone samsung a50s, can use both rj45 and power delivery (pd) at sametime? Please answer

Just heard of the device. Is it available from vendors other than Amazon?
Hi, nice video! Can you share the name of the curved white-floor lamp in your office?! Pretty cool!
It is a Brightech Helix LED Floor lamp from Amazon.

Great info. Thank you!
Do you know if it supports Display Link - so on the Apple Macbook Air M1 - you can display two monitors?
Thanks
