I had a 1996 Bonneville for my 1st car in 2006. It was a nice ride but the car was terrible. It broke down a lot and I only had it about a year.
@@kurtwetzel154 Maybe it depends on how well the previous owners took care of it. At least with a classic like the Bonneville, parts and repairs should be fairly accessible.
I own 4 Bonneville now a 96 a 99 and a 1990 and 97 within 2016 to now I used to have 10 Bonneville they are great cars very comfortable sad to see so many went to the junk jards

I always loved the 1988 Pontiac Bonnevilles when I was a teenager.
Drop the V8 you pulled out of the Monte Carlo in that S-10, they make kits to do it.
Kits are for 2wd, not 4x4s. Oil pan won't clear front differential. Body lift with suspension lift and taller motor mounts are needed.

17:54 why wouldn't you believe it... The engine alone with extensive cleaning and maintenance holds a record of 585,000 miles. Grab cars like this in a heartbeat. Mine got me to Indiana and back to Jersey NP just turning 260,000 miles😏 and I may want to trade in my 2003 for this last year 95 obd1 car... But I doubt you'd do that deal
The chevy a 10 Durango is a trim level package similar to the sls trim level. Those s10s and s15s are awesome! I've owned several

My mom had a 92 Pontiac Bonneville. Interior looked exactly the same like that one and That storage can be above you that have the extra power outlet. That's where my dad used to put the radar detector I remember that when I was a kid. The car brought back some memories from me. That was the car. I learned how to drive in that and a 94 Oldsmobile 88. Pretty cool find buddy.

That Pontiac is a jackpot find! I think new spark plugs and wires would be all it needs besides the engine oil and transmission fluid changes. 😊

These are really nice cars. Never knew one that had issues. Pretty well made and comfortable. They don’t make them like that anymore. I think most cars are made for no more than 10 years and then they are done.

I had a 1995 Pontiac Bonneville just like that but gray on gray. It was a hand-me-down from my mom when she bought it new. I wrecked it in 2006 and paid $50 to have the junkyard pick it up. Hilarious that they are still around 20 more years later

14:00 Here's the deal. For people who want to work on a simple and Cheap car that ends up being cool, if you could get this for $400, this would be a great series for your channel. It doesn't have to be full time, but every month do an update. Same with the Pontiac. That has nice colors and a very sporty looking dash. Simple and reliable transportation. That might have the 3.8 though.
Randy you should hoard these older cars of the 90s. They will be worth a ton soon because new cars are not going out the door. And electric cars aren’t doing much better. I’m just driving old cars: 1965 Chrysler imperial, 1970 Ford Thunderbird 429. Bad on gas but what a blast to drive. Life is good short to the same thing everyone else has

that bonneville looks like a winner, great cars and fuel economy is a lot better than you would think, I had a lesabre than would get 36 mpg on a trip if you did not push it hard, the 4t65e transmission is not bad, cheap to repair if it does have a problem, overdrive failure is most common, and can be done without pulling the trans, just tilt the subframe and go at it from the side cover
Ive had like 5 or 6 series 2 3.8s. Everytime I got one Immediately switched those plastic coolant lines over for the aluminum ones
176,000 miles and the interior looks good and runs.😊

For a 29 year old car with 176,000 miles that Pontiac is not in to bad of shape.

I remember you told a story a couple years ago about that regal. You said it was an 89 which would in fact have the 2.8 multi port engine. The first couple years of the w body regal only had the 2.8. The 3.8 came along a bit later. Bonus, yours was missing a front fender i believe you said.
A lot of yards won't pick up those Promaster/Sprinter Van's. They claim they're "too heavy". Yet I've seen them pick up Dually trucks. It's weird.
Did those yards ever check if those Promaster vans had bodies in them? 😮😮😮😊
