really great to hear the actual inspiration for this song. When it came out, so many were saying it was racial because the band came from Texas. We always thought it was just about respect and not talking shit. We used to play this one, but honestly only because i couldn't sing all of cemetary gates. Lost in Vegas, if you liked this song, please do a reaction to Cemetary Gates by Pantera. Vegas local here, just found you guys.
I remember it like it was yesterday when I got to see this song being played live. Shit got ruff as the crowd pulled up the flooring at the arena exposing the hockey rink ice underneath. My brother and i dominated that pit like a couple of savages. Only making our bond stronger knowing we had each others back when life knocks us down. Not only did I get to witness the powerful impact you have on metal, but your impact on people trying to get through lifes struggles. Music can heal ones soul and you have made some great music that will stand the test of time. MUCH RESPECT!!
@@Crash.7434 true but the point of music is how it connects to you, it may not connect the same with the original purpose of the song for the writer/singer
Fun Fact. My older sister use to party with Pantera back in the early 80s club scene here in Houston when they were a Hair/Glam Metal band. She always said how nice and polite and down to earth Dimebag was. Rip!
seeing you guys react so enthusiastically to these songs makes me appreciate them more. after listening to metal for so long, I guess you kind of forget how special the genre really is
Dimebag wrote some killer riffs in his day. By some I mean every time he touched his guitar a killer riff came out. He dropped it once and accidentally wrote a whole album.
5 years guys!! I hope you get into this band again because it's truly a tragedy that you're missing out on the one band that hits every mark you've ever mentioned that makes a great song for you guys.
@Ricardo Rivas Jr I know. It's something hes apologized for multiple times and it still haunts him. Theres even countries canceling his appearances with Rex Charlie and Zakk in shows on tour.
I'm sorry. I believe people who say they don't like this kind of music, just has never sat down and listened to it or are in denial. There is no way you can sit down and listen to this without nodding your head. Great music
Get Em Jones to understand the lyrics on walk you kind of have to know the band a little they are not just saying randomly respect them and walk this song is about them and their supposably close friends having fun and drinking when they are performing in their hometown but when they have to leave their supposably close friends talk shit behind their back like they think they are too good for us only because they have success or like only when they come here they just want to hang out but when they go back they are the ones that are like hey whats up man how you been and band knows that they are talking shit behind their back without them knowing thats why he says that he is tired of this shit that he is this close of kicking your ass respect me say it to my face now that i am here dont talk shit behind my back cuz either way i am still gunna know the things they sing about is true you just have to know the band and for the volcals phil anselmo the singer is a bad ass mother fucker i have people listening this band that dont listen to metal and they like it the instrumental volcals and lyrics they just tell me that they fuckin like it and that they can relate to the lyrics i mean you are the first one but then again everyone is differnt and when you said that we need to start to listen to real music well this is real music what pantera sings about is real is all real
that's how you know something isn't good enough to be called a best of the best if you couldn't understand what the singer was saying & the lyrics had no meaning to anything even from his story, for example listen to linkin park you could understand every word he sings and everything he says without even looking the meaning behind his songs like that's god damn talent man. 30 seconds to mars as well, three days grace, & sum 41 they all had songs witch where so damn good that anyone could understand what they where singing and can relate with the lyrics. and this song you really have to act and play it off saying its good because you haven't heard anyone better than this. and of course your friends would say they love it because they are your friends man common sense. they don't want to be dicks and tell you the truth that they don't like it or man up and tell you straight up that this song isn't good enough to be called good. And everyone has their taste in music I understand but when you spot talent everyone should appreciate it because there maybe wont be another. and you can tell if they have talent or not, like again the difference between they way they sing. how you can understand every word the singer says & if his voice is over the instruments like three days grace and linkin park. and people will believe that everyone has talent to sing and no that's hella false. you can tell if someone doesn't want to sing and you could spot it but most people don't want to announce it
I said nothing about the singer. I understand that some people don't like the screamers or the slow emo style singers, but the music is amazing. Rock, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Country, and Reggae are the only genres that you can go to a concert and listen to a full instrumental.
The Modern Day American John Lennon the fact that he paused it isn't so bad considering, the bad the bad thing is he pointed out the fact that he loves the riffs and solos just after pausing it, illuminating the fact he new what it was, now that is sacrilege
Rip Dime! I agree with not interrupting, but i can forgive these guys, only cause they are trying and learning and bringing people togeather, keep it up yall!!!
thekenmatax Yeah I agree, compared to Domination or some other Pantera stuff it's not a really hard solo to play but Dimebag fingers was able to be so agile while he was able to have such a presence on scene. Only saw them once in Paris in 1992 if I remember correctly and TBH wasn't a big Pantera fan at that time - more a Slayer, Death one - but they blew me away
I never classified Randy as a "pure" metal only guitarist...would not put them in the same class...Only my opinion as a "hard" metal player..Dime was the man...Randy could play classical, rock,metal...you name it, and was still training and growing....If you put the two next to each other and their abilities..Randy every time!!!!
I think Dimebag is better to compose Riffs and Randy to compose solos. But Randy did really good riffs, and Dimebag did amazing solos (I can't chose what is the best solo between Floods and Mr. Crowley). I prefer Dimebag by a bit. But I recognize that Randy is way more techincal than Dime. Indeed, two great guitarrists. But the greatest metal guitarrist is Mr. Iommi.

You have to do CEMETARY GATES by PANTERA. Phil s vocal range, and writing are unparalleled on that track. Dimebags (the guitarist, rip) is so fucking intense and the whole band plays amazingly together on that track. Would love to see your reaction on that one. You guys are awesome.
Unparalleled? hmmmm _ Its good but he is just a self confessed Halford clone on that. Great track yes, unparalleled no. Shame Phil can't get close to it now.
Wardo Melena I guess. He didn't have a choice really. As doing the aggressive style fucked his voice.....so he had to pursue that new style. It paid off for him and it sounds great. But I prefer singers that actually sing not so much the shorty style. Been done to death (pardon the pun ha ha) To each their own.
SYNAPTIK yeah but the vocals from 1995 to 1999 are fucking brutal in live so much power i think the fact he fuck up he vocals are because he smoke a looooooot of weed and cigarette so that kill you voice around the years
I appreciate the fact that you realize how tight they sound together. The drummer and guitarist are brothers. They have both passed on but damn! Their legacy will live on!
Its funny I'm reading alot of the comments. People still think being of a darker race we all just listen to rap. I've been listening to this type of music for years. This was Rob Van dam entrance music in ECW.... Ecw brought me hear... You guys have a new sub keep up the great work 💯💯👍👍👍
Fellas. It's been long enough between Pantera songs. You have an entire catalog of incredible songs to delve into. I'd suggest Domination Live, Hollow, Broken, Cowboys From Hell, A New Level, and Cemetery Gates to name just a few.
poison paisa 408 haha! It both my friend!! It's a a rabbuck!! You guys kick so much ass, much love comes from this channel!! You guys are doing something special!
My opinion, pantera.....greatest. Heavy. Metal. Band. Ever. Favorite song: slaughtered, album: far beyond driven Guys, do a reaction video about THAT song......you won’t be dissapointed!
Nah sabbath is considered great because they invented heavy metal but they are alright my top 3 fav But Pantera and Slayer are the best metal band of all time
DIME AND VINNIE MAY YOU REST IN PEACE, YOU ARE THE GREATEST, YOU MADE MY DAYS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER LISTENING TO YOUR MUSIC. YOU AND YOUR BANDS GOT ME THROUGH SOME ROUGH DAYS, YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FOREVER, COUSIN FIGEL
Sepultura went downhill when they slowed down and "grooved." Arise/Chaos A.D. was the last great stuff. Black Sabbath pioneered "Groove Metal" by being the first to play metal, and with a groove.
Nail on the head! The dynamic quality of rock/metal is what I fell in love with decades ago and still brings me right back into the present moment of life enjoying every second wholeheartedly while I listen.
Y’all’s open-mindedness to this type of music makes me happy. No one gives anything a chance anymore. I’m glad y’all look past the mask of it (screaming, non-sense, blah blah whatever everyone labels it) and delve deep into the greatness of it. Much respect bros!
My brothas from otha muthas! You should definately check out "Hollow" and "Cemetary Gates" from Pantera. These two songs offer a unique perspective on the range of Pantera. One of my top 3 favorite bands of all time. Definitely worth a listen!
I was at mayhem festival some years ago and five finger cover punch had just finished their set. They had a reasonable crowd size. However, as the stage was being set for the next group panteras walk came on over the PA.... The place FILLED up immediately and mosh pits formed.... In other words, pantera doesnt even have to show up to outstage other bands.
THIS IS WHY I LOVE YOU TWO!!! Love to hear your take on ALL MUSIC... Pantera was taken from us too soon, and I love how you guys are OPEN to all genres - I have the same trait and I can SERIOUSLY RESPECT you guys. :) Hugs, from Mesa, AZ
You guys rock the reactions of all good tunes!! Keep on it ! On June 12, 2018, I pulled up at Home Depot In Arlington, TX. A nice SUV pulls up in front of me. The dude that gets out doesn't look like the owner of that nice ride. I'm browsing the aisles and did a double-take when I realized it was Vinnie Paul. I know he grew up in Arlington & still had property just a few minutes north. So I asked, "are you Vinnie?" He says, Yes sir! He shook my hand, and I told him I've been following since I was kid around Saavy's club in Fort Worth (in the 80s) and many others. He was so nice, even though he must be tired of people coming up to him. That day he was wearing a Van Halen necklace. Showing his RE-SPECT (if u know, u know). Little did I know he would pass 10 days later. RIP to a legend in heavy metal!
Fucking love this shit. Watched a few of these videos, and you've earned a subscriber. Been a metal fan since before I could buy my own albums, and I love your reactions to it. You've got an open mind, you speak your truth, and I love it. Keep this going.
Around '92-'93 I used to record them on VHS as it was in the middle of the night here in Eastern Europe, then watched it later next day. And I didn't even speak any English at the time. :)
I've read a lot of the comments and I like them. Not sure if anyone has touched on the moshpit, though. Some of the nicest people I have seen have been in the pit. If someone falls down there is always someone to protect them and help them stand back up (with a literally helping hand and making sure people move away to see they are down). Metalheads are some of - if not the - the nicest people you will ever meet. The music is loud, but the love and camaraderie are great.
Glen Eccles so much this. Alot of people are scared of a mosh pit when once you get over that fear and jump in its an experience that youll never feel anywhere else. You quickly learn the kind of unspoken rules and then it's just amazing. High recommend to everybody to at least try it once
Phil's a killer singer, can both sing aggressive and melodic. And Pantera was awesome. RIP both "Dimebag" Darrel Abbott & his brother Vinnie Paul. Why do all the good ones have to go way too early?
Whenever someone tells me they dont like metal, i show them this song. Its like the perfect mix of heavy, groovy, shredding and full on power. The lyrics also embody the feel of the song so accurately. They usually end up textin me a week or two later saying they cant stop listening to the song.
Depends on allergies growls like Pantera is different than screaming which can make you hoars alot of ppl can scream not many can growl and less can even have a 4 octave voice like cemetery gates .
I just stumbled across you guys, and really enjoyed seeing you guys listning to PANTERA! I don't usally subscribe but you sold me! I'm curious to see you listen SLAYER! I'm A rock and roll musician and crazy punk and metal fan from PORTLAND OREGON. I have friends that are from the hip hop community I originally met at first through work. My bro Nick is a black guy from the Chicago hip-hop music scene. I am always turning him on to my. crazy death or black metal. Hell, we now go to each others venue's and different music shows! Any way, keep up the videos fellas! CHEERS! JOEY VOMIT
Great video guys. If you’re looking to do another Pantera song, I suggest “Hollow”. Lot of change-ups and one of the heaviest riffs ever towards the end of the song. Keep up the good work.
3:55 That is such a great point about live bands. You can tell when talented metal bands have been cohesive for a very long time, and play insanely tight live shows.
Much love and much respect gentleman! Great concept for a show. There’s too much ignorance going on and you guys are breaking the ice. To me this show is a positive direction and its changing our society. Good show sirs 😊
Pantera was so awesome! I remember seeing them at Savy's on E. Lancaster in Fort Worth. I went to school with the owner's son and he got us in to watch them when we were 16. Dime and Vinnie were such down to earth and approachable guys. Eventually I was attending some of the wild parties. Thanks for the memories y'all! Y'all should do cemetery gates.
ILLegal ELbow fair enough. I have a lot of favorite guitar players, but I don't put one up against the other. I've always felt one guitar player can offer something another cannot.
I was fortunate to see them live in a small venue. They absolutely killed it! My bro talked me into a mosh pit and protected me from the crazies, best time ever! My belly ring was torn out and I didnt even notice until later. So much fkn fun! RIP Diamond Darrell & Vinnie. They were and still are icons

SYNAPTIK not really phil found he style on Vdop album the cfh vocals are great but not really fit phil style
You guys have a new sub keep up the great work 💯💯👍👍👍
Thank you for supporting!
bigmoethedon who in the hell said that no one said that on on this comment section that I saw are you race-baiting now
Fellas. It's been long enough between Pantera songs. You have an entire catalog of incredible songs to delve into. I'd suggest Domination Live, Hollow, Broken, Cowboys From Hell, A New Level, and Cemetery Gates to name just a few.
FACT !!!
Domination is my favorite.
Agreed
I think this is the best video ever!! I am a metal head....you guys are amazing
Thank you!!
+Lost In Vegas check on Suffocation: abomination reborn. you'll like it guys! thanks for your videos reviews...
Deegan 777 is that a rabbit or a duck?

My opinion, pantera.....greatest. Heavy. Metal. Band. Ever.
Favorite song: slaughtered, album: far beyond driven
Guys, do a reaction video about THAT song......you won’t be dissapointed!
Nah sabbath is considered great because they invented heavy metal but they are alright my top 3 fav
But Pantera and Slayer are the best metal band of all time
Shedding Skin and I'm Broken are my favorites from that album.
Daaaaaaaamnn!!!! My favorite band of all time PANTERA!!!! And you actually had Phil comment, so awesome!
Wasn't Phil man some bitch impersonating a GOD
Phil uses his label to make comments, Housecore Records.
Where did Phil comment?
@@joshuanecaise2243 The pinned comment at the top. That's his record company or movie company's (can't remember) name.
DIME AND VINNIE MAY YOU REST IN PEACE, YOU ARE THE GREATEST, YOU MADE MY DAYS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER LISTENING TO YOUR MUSIC. YOU AND YOUR BANDS GOT ME THROUGH SOME ROUGH DAYS, YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FOREVER, COUSIN FIGEL
make a reaction to Pantera - Domination (Live in Moscow) video!
Pantera is to metal what N.W.A. is to rap/hip hop. They each pioneered their respective genres and inspired countless musicians
Neither of those bands pioneered their genres. Black Sabbath and Sugarhill Gang pioneered metal and rap respectively.
antichoice1 Uhhh
I don't think sugarhill gang pioneered rap
Uhhh, they brought it to the mainstream in the 70s, so they kinda did. It certainly wasn't NWA LOL.
antichoice1 Yeah but Pantera pioneered Groove - Metal. After Pantera Bands like Sepultura came from Death/Thrash to Groove Metal too and etc.
Sepultura went downhill when they slowed down and "grooved." Arise/Chaos A.D. was the last great stuff. Black Sabbath pioneered "Groove Metal" by being the first to play metal, and with a groove.
Domination by Pantera, live from Monsters in Moscow. Dimebag’s solo is completely insane!
Inmate No. 010100 amazing solo unreal how someone can nail that shit live so good
Nail on the head!
Thank you sir!
My brothas from otha muthas! You should definately check out "Hollow" and "Cemetary Gates" from Pantera. These two songs offer a unique perspective on the range of Pantera. One of my top 3 favorite bands of all time. Definitely worth a listen!
RIP DIMEBAG u were a king among GREATS!!
This love by Pantera
You'll be headbanging
tra731 nice pic, love that album.
This needs to be pushed more. My favourite song of any genre.
tra731
AWESUM SONG!
Pantera- "The Art of Shredding" trust me, you'll appreciate this one 🤘🏽🔥
You guys should react to Cemetery Gates, it's a completely different song and probably my favourite Pantera song.
This is such a heartwarming video. I grew up listening to Pantera. I got chills watching your reaction and how much you guys appreciate this music!
Dimebag Darrell, one of the all time greatest rock guitarists to live. RIP.
Dimebag , Randy Rhodes and Criss Olivia were taken too soon. You can feel their souls pouring out into the music
He actually got his one level on Guitar Hero because he was so talented. 🤘🎸
Glad you guys can appreciate the greatness of dimebag Darrell and what he left behind. He’ll live on with his music!
So cool to see more more black guys get into metal so cool !!! Black and metal for 25 years !
You guys would be fun to hang out with
They are or were!! Had a blast in 2001 backstage!!
69th like
Yup
Re-Spect WALK!
Dimebag is a god among the Rock Pantheon. You just DON'T pause or skip his solos!
Renatokun Vinnie 😔😔😔
Renatokun that’s in the commandments, I’m pretty sure 🤘🏻
is his nickname actually dimebag?
Dulltooth yep
that's amazing
These guys make me love metal more. Great channel guys!
R.I.P Dimebag
Cemetery Gates by PANTERA
Jimmie Farley oh hell yea!
This is a great suggestion. They'd lose their minds over the transitions.
Yes. The soul that dime puts in cemetery gates is amazing.
They'll also be surprised that it's the same singer...
yeeeeeeeah
I love this!! We are not simple people, WE ARE THE SAME!!!
Dude you guys should watch the pantera domination live video
Live in Moscow will blow your minds!!!
Agreed. The greatest live video of all time.
Metalhead Anthony vulgar display of power tour Italy mind melting
They should definitely check that video out!
Do 5 Minutes Alone by Pantera
uhm to me "this love" is the best one^^
bro been saying the same thing
I'm down for either one man
why? there are many other better tracks for someone to make a reaction video to
Mouth for war from same album.
A bit faster, and less plodding (Not that it’s bad)but still savage.
Fucking love this shit. Watched a few of these videos, and you've earned a subscriber. Been a metal fan since before I could buy my own albums, and I love your reactions to it. You've got an open mind, you speak your truth, and I love it. Keep this going.
Thanks man!
Sometimes I miss headbangers ball!!
With Ricky Rachman
Vanessa Warwick
Saturday night at 11 if I wasn't playing or going to a show or working you know where I was
Around '92-'93 I used to record them on VHS as it was in the middle of the night here in Eastern Europe, then watched it later next day. And I didn't even speak any English at the time. :)
I miss M-m-m-metal Shop!!!
Glen Eccles Same, we always have each others back.
You guys keeping minds expanding yo!
Thanks bro!
Love the genuine laughter, u guys r the shit! Real eyes realize real lies & u 2 ain't full of it. Great work guys & don't stop.
For pure band energy at a concert - Battery from Metallica in the Seattle 1989 show. Love the clips you guys are doing.
Chris Carroll absolutely
that will blow their minds lol
Chris Carroll Hell yeah. Probably won't know what hit them. Fantastic in every way
That whole concert is insane, everyone needs to watch it
Binge&purge?
Phil's a killer singer, can both sing aggressive and melodic. And Pantera was awesome. RIP both "Dimebag" Darrel Abbott & his brother Vinnie Paul. Why do all the good ones have to go way too early?
And Rex Brown its a killing bass player
Pantera - Cemetary Gates is epic and one of their most popular tracks.
The Flood also.
You guys should react to their moscow 1991 performance of Domination, probably one of the greatest live hard rock/metal videos out there
Would also like to add... R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell.
Whenever someone tells me they dont like metal, i show them this song. Its like the perfect mix of heavy, groovy, shredding and full on power. The lyrics also embody the feel of the song so accurately. They usually end up textin me a week or two later saying they cant stop listening to the song.
RIP Dime
Greatest metal guitarist of all time, Dimebag Darrell, Rest In Peace!
Jason Moore , yes he was, such a loss for us all. RIP .
Rust in peace
One of the greatest.....
I love that “be yourself, by yourself.” Do your own thing... over there.
It's like an unspoken rule when someone goes down in the pit you pull them up so no one gets trampled.
Rest in Piece Vinnie say hi to Dimebag for us!
😪
GuitarAddictsAnonymous com peace...*
CHEERS! JOEY VOMIT
I love it when you guys examine the music, your videos don’t have to be reactions, I love the reactions but I love this too! Rock on!!! 🤘
Respect.
COWBOYS FROM HELL (PANTERA)
far more impressive than Walk IMO
If you like Pantera's energy you should check "I'm broken". It's hard.
Savvy's! I spent a lot of time there in the 80's
Joe's garage. Saw them numerous times there. Mid 80s. Great times
You guys are awesome. You missed “Walk on home boy!”
Welcome to Diamond Daryll Abbott!!!!! The Greatest METAL guitarist ever!!!! RIP!!!!!!! DARYLL!!!! DIMEBAG!!!!!!!!
ILLegal ELbow RIP!!
ILLegal ELbow
R.I.P.
Dime.
ILLegal ELbow Good guitarist but definitely not the best.
Kedryn Silcox true, he is to me though, lol
ILLegal ELbow fair enough. I have a lot of favorite guitar players, but I don't put one up against the other. I've always felt one guitar player can offer something another cannot.
“Cemetery Gates,” “Cowboys From Hell” and “I’m Broken” are some other Pantera songs that you guys would appreciate.
I think they would also really like 5 minutes alone, a new level, and domination.
flood... that shit pretty underrated except the outro
This is how racism ends. 2 wonderful brothers loving Pantera. Nothing but love for you both
Well put ❗🎵🎵🎵
I was fortunate to see them live in a small venue. They absolutely killed it! My bro talked me into a mosh pit and protected me from the crazies, best time ever! My belly ring was torn out and I didnt even notice until later. So much fkn fun! RIP Diamond Darrell & Vinnie. They were and still are icons
