- The plaintiffs claim the defendant’s pit bull killed one of their puppies, a Cavalier King Charles, so they’re suing for value of the dead canine. The defendant says she was in a fenced-in yard, and the plaintiffs allowed their dog to enter.
The male plaintiff is just stubborn. His wife was absolutely the reasonable one.
The judge’s advice was sound. The wife is the smart one!

Gosh, the plaintiff's smug smirk was gross. He didn't give a crap about the puppy, he just saw it as lost money. I hate breeders so much.

But contradicting him outright makes no sense. She added nothing to the case, just made sure everyone know she thinks her husband is an idiot

@Jayne Hogue No, she was for one outside first... She checked to make sure she was alone. The other person came out after allowing those little dogs to run out without checking to see it was safe. She didn't hold or leash those little dogs. It's not the fault of the pit-bull owner.

The Pit was not "protecting it's home" from a tiny puppy lol. It was simply being a Pit Bull. Genetics. Science is real.

This case should have been thrown out the moment they both said they weren't there. The only eye witness isn't present, why are they there and not the caretaker?

They should have at least had a notarized witness statement from the caregiver. Though, the plaintiff dif evict her, so maybe they knew she wouldn't testify OR that her testimony would exonerate the defendant.
I think the judge admitted it because the defendant corroborated what they said.
Judge Milian: "Was she taking out two puppies, without a leash, to an area that was open?"
Plaintiff's wife: "Yes."
Judge: "Wow! Your caretaker needs to be talked to."
Wife: "Thank you."
The subtext there is just enormous.
And then later, (8:50) after the Judge rants at the plaintiff, wife says, "Your honor, I happen to have said exactly the same thing to my husband."
Wife did not think they should have been in court.
Why didn't he sue the caretaker ??

The husband has some sort of bizarre / inappropriate relationship with this "caretaker". Something is so off about that dynamic and while the wife clearly thinks she's surplus to requirements, it seems like he doesn't care. It's all about his world and his perspective.
He's the kind of man that has never admitted he was wrong about anything. He's the kind of man that thinks, "I'm sorry you feel that way" is a genuine apology. He's the kind of man that is so used to bulldozing the people in his life in order to get what he wants. It's his way or the highway and that mindset will lead to him being verrrrrrry lonely when he's older.

They are suing the wrong person, they should be suing the dog carer who by her negligence got the puppy killed...

One of my pit mixes (pit and husky) HATES other dogs, but LOVES people, my other pit mix (pit and lab maybe) LOVES other animals and HATES people 🤦🏼♀️ it's super fun lol
But we have a fenced in yard, and if another dog came into our yard I know my girl would NOT be happy...and she has that right.
This case is sad, and easily could have been avoided!

@@ButtonsCasey some dogs will eventually warm up to a new dog in their pack. This is common when you get a new puppy and have an established dog. They older dog will take the dog in and imprint on it. This can make the dog protective of the new dog
