I think that Marvel went too fast with the story after Endgame. New Doctor Strange should've been the Nightmare story, just as it was planned originally. Then Multiverse of Madness would be way later in the story with different ending of course (Wanda going to other universe where Doom would be).
With so many people down on the new stuff, can Marvel afford to show the New actually beating up on the Old? If they don't win, the new can't carry the universe. If the New win it "insults" the old.
Not necessarily. There's another DC story they could steal, about Batman knowing how to defeat all the superheroes if it ever came to that. Could Sam defeat evil Steve? Maybe. Could Yelena beat Natasha? Maybe. Would James know secrets to defeat an evil Iron Man? I don't think so. Would She-Hulk know how to defeat the Hulk? I don't think so. They'd need someone brilliant on their team like Hank Pym. And Smart Hulk is still around, so though he couldn't beat the Hulk in a fair fight, maybe he'd know some secrets to get the job done?
Yeah I liked she hulk in general…liked Agatha but couldn’t get behind her series…caught part of the first episode and I felt like she shoulda been trapped in a procedural television show (like Wanda was) and at the end she’s freed by Aubrey plaza and Wiccan…didn’t care for how that played out💁🏽♂️
He's either an evil version that takes over Doom's armor and the name Doom, or his body has been exchanged with Doom's which is one of the latter's powers, or he's been brainwashed to become Doom with Doom's memories like Kristoff. Any of these works logically.
Not really evil, just a douche, if people still use that term. I watched him blowing out the Olympic Torch again recently. Bizarro was supposed to be an evil version of Superman, but they didn't use him or Kal-El in that Crime Syndicate comic Grace mentioned, instead creating a different Kryptonian.
In my opinion Owl Man(Justice League Crisis on Two earths) and Homelander(The Boys Tv show not comic) are the best evil subversions of superhero characters that have ever been created.
Always a fun time on the streams! Seems like Avengers Doomsday is going to be a big reset button. Hope it’s good! Btw, that fog looked so cool on the stream today. Very cinematic.
I somehow believe that those spoilers and leaks might even come out directly from Marvel to keep the audience at least a bit investigated and interested in all those announced future projects. The MCU kinda lost me with their takes on the multiverse and too much bad character development and too many sidestories through all the Disney+ series, though I liked the majority of them.
Either they should have done a reboot after _Avengers: Endgame_ where you have all three main Marvel teams, or they should have succeeded with the Multiverse in the Doctor Strange movie and others. After all, how do you beat restoring half of life in the universe after Thanos (and preventing the second Thanos from destroying the universe)? Save multiple universes. This may be what's going to happen in _Beyond the Spider-Verse._ Miles might have to save his universe and universe 42, and others mentioned that had a failed canon event.
Thanks for the stream. Evil Avengers... seems like a cheap move around but as a fan of fanfics I'm definitely familiar with evil Avengers so I'm willing to give it a shot. Especially as you mentioned, it's now or never with the actors getting older and older. To be honest, I'm more relieve to learn they are finally having a goal in mind after so many years after Thanos.
I've collected comics for over 40 years, and I find it interesting that...the characters comic collectors didn't care about back then...don't connect with today's general movie going audience. facts!!!
Instead of Team Cap vs Team Iron Man, we'll have Team Evil vs. Team Good? I can't see War Machine, Falcon, She-Hulk and the new Black Widow beating the originals. And what about Thor and Hawkeye? If Jane's Mighty Thor had lived, then she could have fought Evil Thor, assuming there is one. Maybe Loki from his series sends a version of himself to aid the Avengers?
I think, as a concept, evil cap is fundamentally different than evil superman. Superman is a god, him being evil has humanity ending consequences. And that’s the take we’ve seen many times already.
We haven't seen a movie version of Bizarro, whose origins are a little weird and childish. He seems like he has autism-spectrum disorder or something. In my version I could imagine in an alternate reality, a piece of Kryptonite from his planet exploding and lodging in Kal-El's escape starship and radiating him as a baby to turn him into Bizarro. Then some others meet up with him as a teen to manipulate him and go with him for the first time to the Fortress of Solitude. I think the Jor-El A.I. would have its work cut out for it to try to turn him good.
I think this would be the perfect way to round out the multiverse. With a bang! The audience only hasn’t enjoyed it because it’s been lack lustre mostly. So maybe they are just giving us what we’ve wanted all along but can then go on to the next thing - Xmen
i think lets give marvel a chance to buildup the legacy characters a bit more , so we can get attached, then when they’re faced with the ppl who inspired them to become who we know & love them as that’ll be insanse
Everyone keeps saying people don’t like the multiverse but the multiverse movies have made the most money. No way home, D&W, even multiverse and madness got close to a billion.
I liked She Hulk the show and the character. I think she could be a character who is always going against the grain and challenging decisions and going off to do things her way, maybe making things worse but then everything works out in the end.
I feel like Chris Evans is too artsy fartsy to keep the Marvel fans. If he’d gone the route of staying buff and doing action/adventure male centric films, i think he could’ve had the most mainstream success out of all of them.
@lennzo9231 not really, they're a bit like the GOT actors (their contemporaries interestingly enough) nobody really cares about what they do outside of their core franchise.
I just don’t really care. I’m sure it’ll succeed because if it doesn’t pretty much confirms MCU is done and everyone saw Endgame as the rightful finale.
I’m not even a begin marvel fan outside of X-men but the GA isn’t going to be upset by evil captain America from an alternate universe in the multiverse arc we are finally getting multiverse stuff and where complaining why? We are trying to get through this and finally get started in a phase that’s been in stand by for years and never really got started
An Evil Avengers vs Avengers 2-part movie would be cool where the first movie is entirely from Evil Avengers pov and then the second part is our team winning.
They have the I.P. and if they can make something good, they can get butts in seats to the tune of $1 billion for a good Marvel movie and maybe $2 billion for a good Star Wars movie. But yeah, it feels desperate that they want R.D., Jr. to save the MCU again.
The "Speeding Bullets" comic I think would make a great adaption. Also I think they missed out on an old Captain America doing his best Stan Lee impressions in future Marvel movies, would of been gold and pay homage to Stan, as well as a series of Cap returning the stones.
Evans should come back as Steve Rogers proper not some multiverse knockoff - and not even necessarily as Cap. Remember, Rogers has a whole lifetime of stories to tell before he reappeared as an old man. And, as far as we know, he's not even dead! I would love to see Old Man Steve and Old Man Isiah form a super soldier team up on Disney+.
He has played villainous roles multiple times. Knives Out and The Gray Man prove that he can pull off charismatic a-holes with conviction, and his debut performance in Lobby Hero on Broadway received great reviews as well. There was also Pain Hustlers last year which he starred opposite Emily Blunt and though the movie was forgettable, the scene of them having an argument at the parking lot was pretty tense and they both delivered.
I'm just miffed we couldn't get even one Avengers movie without the original cast, they tried to do something new, tell a new kind of story and fumbled it so badly they had to go running back to Chris Evans and RDJ, beyond desperate
Hawk Newsome...pleasant fellow 🙂...but anyway 🙂...its like RDJ and Evans are joined at the hip. Once RDJ came back, I was pretty sure Evans was. I dunno if this is a leaching type deal or what.
I thought it was a really bad idea to bring Robert Downey Jr. back to the MCU, especially as another character: Doctor Doom. I thought that could only work logically in one of two ways: either Doctor Doom transfers bodies with Tony, or he brainwashes Tony like his Doombots did for Kristoff. With Chris Evans coming back, likely as an evil version of Captain America, there could be a third: Evil Tony defeats Doctor Doom and takes his armor and his name. But how could Captain America be evil? I guess if Steve fell and was captured and brainwashed by Hydra instead of Bucky. Maybe it's lazy writing, but they want a billion dollar movie, and pretty much only the original Avengers have done that. So Evil Avengers versus Good Avengers might put butts in seats. But the Good Avengers better earn their victory; we can't have a situation like Hank Pym defeating Kang with giant ants.
What made The Crime Syndicate iconic was Owlman, who was so more than a evil Batman. And it's hard to write a character that deep and disturbing. You can copy the formula but you can't copy the art.
I was reading about the Crime Syndicate after watching another video on Chris Evans returning. They didn't just make Diana, Kal-El and Bruce evil, they largely chose new characters to fill their shoes, so it was both similar and different.
Sorry, but in my opinion, Sam Wilson exists so moderate white people can say, “Look, we have an ethnic! Black folks can be patriotic and uphold the status quo, too!” Sam’s whole reason for existence in Cap 2 was to give Steve Rogers a diverse sidekick, so audiences know Steve is “one of the good old white guys.” Even in Sam’s own movie, he’s second-fiddle to the Hulks and the weight of dangling narrative threads. What is this movie even about anymore? (I’d like Cap 4 to do well, but I think it’s morally and intellectually bankrupt, so no amount of reshoots is gonna save it.)
Hmmm, not sure about the whole Sam's existence as a black side kick theory. But even if you are right, that doesn't have to make it a bad thing (if that is what you are implying) because the reason Cap's movies are some of the best in the mcu is because of the political themes and messages.
This is a business decision by Marvel. Since Endgame they've spent over $1b+ on a unmitigated run of disasters (Eternals, Marvels, Thor 4, DSMOM, Quantamania). Iger and Feige are going back to basics. Re-hiring the OGs (RDJ, Evans, Russos), and then stacking fan favorites back to back until 2028. I mean seriously, Spider-Man 4 is scheduled between Avengers movies right now.
She hulk definitely down played Bruce’s horrific past that she probably couldnt even fathom . That’s a big reason I was turned off by the character somewhat. She says she has it worse but Bruce had it so bad he tried to off himself
But if the series didn't say why she'd want to give up lawyering and become a superhero then it failed its mission. She's also supposed to like being She-Hulk more than being Jennifer. Still, she's more fun and better as a team-player than as a solo character.
At this point I’m sorry to say it kind of wreaks of desperation. I think the tide has well and truly turned for MARVEL and DC may well become the one churning out the better movies (though that also remains to be seen). It’s a shame as MARVEL until Endgame were event movies and now they’re just average at best. Producing the low level Disney Plus Marvel series has further greatly affected the Marvel brand. Marvel need to develop their existing or film new characters who will become their new Avengers lineup as the currant lineup isn’t as exciting as the original Avengers. Time to retire the Avengers for now and concentrate on the X-Men
As weird to say this, I doubt Wanda will be in either movies cause she so OP. Unless they nerf her down or they bring her back as Magento daughter and the original Wanda is dead.
If no one in these comments likes the MCU at this point, why are you still interacting with the content? If you hate it, move on. People complaining all the time is how we got DC 😒

In a fight between the original, evil Avengers against the new Avengers, I’m rooting for the bad guys.
yep. grace needs to wake up and realize we dont like she hulk and those other new charcters.
@@DominicRuiz23 Some of us like She-Hulk, Shang-Chi, and others, but people didn't like the She-Hulk show.
Would be this the reason why Thor was crying in Deadpool and Wolverine???

Yes! I arguably enjoyed more than captain America 😅

I feel Quinta Brunson can write a really funny season 2 of She Hulk that everyone can get behind. Plus, she loves Marvel.
wow I think you just nailed it !!!
Yeah I liked she hulk in general…liked Agatha but couldn’t get behind her series…caught part of the first episode and I felt like she shoulda been trapped in a procedural television show (like Wanda was) and at the end she’s freed by Aubrey plaza and Wiccan…didn’t care for how that played out💁🏽♂️
Who?

OMG yes, that would be perfect.
Evans I can see. Cap, old Cap, evil Cap, Johnny Storm whatever. I don’t see RDJ as Doom.
He's either an evil version that takes over Doom's armor and the name Doom, or his body has been exchanged with Doom's which is one of the latter's powers, or he's been brainwashed to become Doom with Doom's memories like Kristoff. Any of these works logically.
Christopher Reeve was evil Superman in Superman III. What a talent!
@@auradjinns the original Bully Maguire.
Stop trying to make "she-hulk" happen. She's not going to happen
The Bride on Creature Commandos is my She-Hulk.
She Hulk can happen, it's just that the MCU and D+ dropped the ball with her.
😂
It'll be a good plan to put Young Avengers on Disney Channel and so they can keep it there as a CW corner of MCU.
Ill take evil avengers over these new trash charcters anyday.
It’s exactly as cheap as Mufasa, Moana 2 or Inside Out 2. It’s the safest bet for shareholders
This is such a cool idea, that i dont think is goint to happend, like Mephisto in Wandavision
Thank you for the stream grace!! Your coverage is always excellent!!
Yes people will root for evil Cap. Rogers will always be the real cap to casuals
Why RUIN a wholesome character like Steve Rogers? I don't care if it was done in the comics.
Because that probably means the true Captain America returns after the reset until he is 90
Y’all are so extra. It’s not ruining a character when it’s not even the same version of the character.
The same way Injustice Superman exists
The same way Injustice Superman exists
lol people hated it in the comics
I've collected comics for over 40 years, and I find it interesting that...the characters comic collectors didn't care about back then...don't connect with today's general movie going audience. facts!!!
If it's og avengers vs new avengers I can only imagine how toxic the fandoms about to be lol
Until they're ✨ 90 ✨
There is also a theory going around that he could be playing the beyonder who takes Steve rogers' form.
I think he did that in the first issue, but it didn't go anywhere and he changed his appearance after that.
I am sorry but sam and bucky never were lead materials.
i think lets give marvel a chance to buildup the legacy characters a bit more , so we can get attached, then when they’re faced with the ppl who inspired them to become who we know & love them as that’ll be insanse
Let's be honest who didn't see them all coming back at some point back in 2019.
Better than bringing them back from the dead.
He is stuck with male goofy role and want to escape and you want him to be stuck forever?
@lennzo9231 not really, they're a bit like the GOT actors (their contemporaries interestingly enough) nobody really cares about what they do outside of their core franchise.
Someone in the livestream said he should have done a Rom-Com.
Hydra Captain America however only turned out to be alternate dimension.
If it was well received, I have no doubt it would've stayed as the 616 Cap.
Thank you Grace, great stream :)
Red Son is worth the watch
@eliafuimaono the motion comic that used to be up here on UA-cam is good also.
I watched that and thought it was enjoyable for the time I spent, but I don't think about it much since.
Loved the stream Grace. Thank you for answering my questions, you have an excellent point, they are going in full safe mode with new Avengers movie.
Yelena vs evil Natasha. It would be great.
Skrulls and Secret Invasion should have been an entire phase before anything else. The get into Secret Wars. Completely botched everything.
Um, if the best we have is the same actors but evil, I don’t know.
Marvel & Disney so damn desperate at this point
They have the I.P. and if they can make something good, they can get butts in seats to the tune of $1 billion for a good Marvel movie and maybe $2 billion for a good Star Wars movie.
But yeah, it feels desperate that they want R.D., Jr. to save the MCU again.
Dr. Strange and Spider Man will probably lead the avengers, Moon Knight, Deadpool, and Daredevil would be cool
I forgot Moon Knight is still around. But he's got another personality that we haven't seen much of that seems to be doing dirty work.
Omg but imagine Clint having to fight evil Natasha 😭
Thanks for the news Grace
Can Chris Evans portray an evil captain america? his acting is... oh well.
Watch Snowpiercer he’s a good actor
@rl8259 I did. The movie is great. His performance is okay.
Perhaps Anthony Mackies Cap will get super powered somehow between now & the reboot
I don’t think he’ll stay
Black folks can be patriotic and uphold the status quo, too!”
Sam’s whole reason for existence in Cap 2 was to give Steve Rogers a diverse sidekick, so audiences know Steve is “one of the good old white guys.”
Even in Sam’s own movie, he’s second-fiddle to the Hulks and the weight of dangling narrative threads. What is this movie even about anymore?
(I’d like Cap 4 to do well, but I think it’s morally and intellectually bankrupt, so no amount of reshoots is gonna save it.)
So Black people can't be Captain America? Got ya
So Black people can't be Captain America? Got ya
Hmmm, not sure about the whole Sam's existence as a black side kick theory. But even if you are right, that doesn't have to make it a bad thing (if that is what you are implying) because the reason Cap's movies are some of the best in the mcu is because of the political themes and messages.
Sounds like BS

This is a business decision by Marvel. Since Endgame they've spent over $1b+ on a unmitigated run of disasters (Eternals, Marvels, Thor 4, DSMOM, Quantamania). Iger and Feige are going back to basics. Re-hiring the OGs (RDJ, Evans, Russos), and then stacking fan favorites back to back until 2028. I mean seriously, Spider-Man 4 is scheduled between Avengers movies right now.
Back to formula 😂
Multiverse of Madness was far from a disaster
@Mo_KING_bird right and Thor L&T was atrocious but made money.
We saw some Cap on Cap action in Endgame…
And Sam Wilson v bad Cap Burnside in comics
Just got started with my day and the news just hit my timelines. Interesting development!!
Marvel is on a roll this szn!!!
Been avoiding spoilers since Endgame. Didn't even know it was time travel I only heard it as rumors.
We need a poll for Luigi and Joker.
I saw pictures of Downey Jr with Jessica Alba on IG. So I think it will be Sue Storm next to him, not Wanda
Dear Lord, the MCU is a messy mess!
Time to retire the Avengers for now and concentrate on the X-Men
I like to be surprised when I see a movie
As weird to say this, I doubt Wanda will be in either movies cause she so OP. Unless they nerf her down or they bring her back as Magento daughter and the original Wanda is dead.
I wonder if they will add any X-men characters or fantastic four
Everyone is thinking Captain Hydra
Me: I see him as the Beyonder or molecule man especially with RDJ as Dr. Doom.
If no one in these comments likes the MCU at this point, why are you still interacting with the content? If you hate it, move on. People complaining all the time is how we got DC 😒
And to clarify, I love it. Either way. No matter what they do. It’s based on comic books. Comics do wacky, gimmicky, “desperate” stuff all the time.
K..
But sherri in the comic books is completely different from the 1 in the movies in the comic books she's aggressive warrior In the cinematic universe she's Just a scientist Who's lovable And outgoing LOL
They could de-age old Cap a little bit, and have him take over for Nick Fury once Sam Jackson is over it.
What if the evil avengers aren't from an alternate reality, but instead they are scrolls from our main universe ?
Skrulls could have worked from _Secret Invasion_ which I haven't read or seen. But they didn't go that way.
I liked an issue of Fantastic Four where the X-Men turn up to fight Gladiator (and Captain America and Spider-Man), but they turn out to be Skrulls using devices to copy their powers.
