I'm so happy the SonyVerse is done with solo movies. They have made the worst SuperHero movies ever. I still don't understand the love for the venom movies.
Venom trilogy should have been the ONLY spin-off and part of MCU Spider-Man. It should have been VIOLENT and NON funny. Venom = a force with which to be reckoned. Tease the BIG confrontation of Spider-Man vs Venom for SPIDER-MAN 4 😀
What i find particularly shocking that sony decided to postpone 3rd spiderverse (INDEFINITELY 🤯😵😐😤😠) and at the same time they were like lets release 3 Spidermanless movies at the same year (once again instead of spiderverse) I cant believe they were like: what can substitute beyond TSpV, oh we have 3 "EXCELLENT" Spiderman-nowhere-near2be-found movies N im like: _.... SONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Months ago I considered going to see Kraven but as the movie came closer to getting released I decided not to, just because I’m not supporting Sony’s horrible effortless Spider-Man less Spider-Man movies. They deserve all these failures they’ve been having with that universe. The greed took them nowhere.
You know what? Take Deadpool out of the equation, you could argue 2024 was a worse year for the comic book superhero genre than last year; Madame Webb & Kraven were both awful, yeah Venom succeeded financially, but let’s be honest, who actually liked that movie? & then Joker 2 just got absolutely slaughtered by everyone who saw it (& rightfully so). So I believe Deadpool & Wolverine making $1.3 billion is gonna keep the genre alive for at least another 2 maybe 3 years, coz next year’s lineup is gonna be a massive litmus test for both Marvel & DC
It would be more surprising if Kraven did lukewarm mediocre box office numbers, like 25 mil+, then it being the massive box office flop that it is lol.
0:15 While Mickey Mouse, Woody Woodpecker, and Spongebob are still enjoying the Thanksgiving leftovers, Bugs Bunny and the Torch Lady are left with nothin'
Well TECHNICALLY Madame Web had THREE Spider-Man characters. Sony just made the brilliant decision to not let them be in their costumes and be awesome 😂😂😂
Sony Marvel movies feel like they would be direct to video back in the day. Maybe they should release them to streaming only if they want to keep making. Andrew Garfield Spiderverse could be there Spiderman for that universe. Doesn't feel like they really care.
I think you were spot on when you assumed Wicked would be another Wonka after watching the first teaser. At least in terms of box office potential, but all the awards recognition and buzz give Wicked an extra feather in its cap.
Grace no one is talking about this but Wicked filmed both Part 1 & 2 together. The actors & director have confirmed this in several interviews. So even though these numbers may be running out of steam…doesn’t that mean that aside from advertising for Part 2 that Wicked Part 2 would be mostly for profit? Because their budget is mostly wrapped in with Part 1?
@@hazelm3002 right, but that’s combined. Part 1 has already grossed & covered the budget for both films so my point is that part 2 is going to literally be all profit next year aside from a new advertising push.

I think while there are countries that really enjoy Wicked, Australia, UK Canada, we have a united love of both, The Wizard of Oz, Musicals and specifically the original Broadway Wicked they provide smaller BO and internationally beyond these countries, the Oz mythos is very specifically an American fairytale. Not sure at this stage we’ll see a sudden uptick to the overseas numbers.
It'll be difficult for Part 2 because outside the Anglosphere: 1) No one cares about the Wizard of Oz IP 2) The songs of the musical are only popular in English-speaking countries.
Imagining the poor person who accidentally stepped on a comic and put it at the back of the pile hoping no one would notice and then inadvertently got somebody to never come back to a comic shop ever again.
I think she meant broadway adaptation brought to the big screen. Mamma Mia in that aspect is the highest grossing, but wicked will totally outgross it.
I’m thinking the release of Mufasa and Sonic 3 will affect Moana 2 a lot more than it will affect Wicked especially when it becomes a sing-along screening. Will be very interesting to see the next Movie Math by Grace when they come out.
Aaron taylor-Johnson should immediately go for romance/comedy. I understand the desire for an action franchise, but all the buzz around him, at least with Kraven, is to be the male version of Sydney Sweeney. He needs to capitalize on that, like Sydney did with Anyone but You. And build audience and career.
Went to see Red One this weekend. Fun little movie. Marvel meets the holidays. Lots of families, kids, and couples. Warms my heart. Happy holidays everyone!
We went to watch Kraven last night and although the theater only had like 10 people with us included, we really enjoyed it and so did they. I think people are just making fun or Sony for the sake of it but it's Sony's fault for making the previous ones so bad 🤢 I hope Kraven comes back. In the meantime we'll wait for it to drop on VOD 🎉

I watched my movies for Thanksgiving: Gladiator and Moana 2. Now I'm waiting on Nosferatu, after that I probably won't see a movie for a while.
