The thing about the casual fan leaving is so true but I wouldn't even call that type of fan casual since I was one of them and I friggin loved WWF(and some WCW) from 1984 to 2004 then for an additional 10 years I tried to watch but my interest in the product just faded year by year to the point where I ended up hating wrestling and thinking it's stupid. My Dad was a fan even longer, he became a fan in the 1970's when it was still WWWF but even he has finally given up on it. He can stomach about 5 minutes of it these days before blurting out the word "DUMB!" and changing the channel. I really can't stand most wrestling now, the whole presentation of it is very silly to me and a lot of the wrestlers themselves are not interesting and/or silly. I tried getting into AEW in 2019 but it's just more of the same old crap to me so it's not some great alternative to WWE like some people want to pretend it is. A big problem is too many cooks in the kitchen as the saying goes and in this scenario it's too many twits behind the scenes in the wrestling business who shouldn't be there and these people don't even like wrestling, they are just money grubbing idiots. They are just corporate entertainment twits who want to make money from "wrestling" but don't understand or care about what made it so good in the past. I really don't know how WWE can win back fans who left so long ago, it may not be possible at this point.
Wow we are both very similar. I was a wrestling fan junkie from 1984-2003 and just stopped watching (going to grad school at time). In 2021 a lady I was dating tried to get me back into it, there was just no "hook" to draw me back in and just couldn't get interested.
Pretty much the same here. Became a fan in 1987 and hardcore fan later that year, watching WWF, JCP/WCW, AWA, etc. In the 90's would tune in to any and all wrestling I could from WWF and WCW to USWA, ECW, SMW etc. Lost interest by 2005 and stopped watching until 2010 when Hogan and Bischoff went to TNA and started putting on a good product again with Russo. Tuned back out in 2012 when Prichard took over and started running it into the ground and have periodically tried getting back into wrestling but it's 🗑️ these days.
@@onewarriornation602 Yeah today's modern "Sports entertainment product" is not interesting at all to me but I think that's the way these companies want it. Actual wrestling fans aren't really welcome anymore and have been shunned for awhile in favor of catering to idiots. Now these companies just want dumb assed normies who will consume whatever they pump out and rave how great it is when it is clearly not. Like when people now try to compare current WWE vs AEW like it's WWF vs WCW in the 90's and act like it's a super exciting time to be a fan I have to wonder if they are smoking crack to be making such a stupid comparison. Modern WWE vs AEW is not exciting at all, it's a joke. WWF vs WCW in the 90's was amazing and can't honestly be compared to this modern crap.
@@adm712 Yeah there is nothing interesting to get into now. The weekly tv shows are goofy overproduced turds, the wrestlers are goofy and do silly spot monkey bullshit and no sell their opponents moves, many can't even cut a decent promo either but that may not be their fault since everything is now 100% scripted by idiot writers(who don't even like wrestling) and wrestlers aren't allowed to go off script without getting in trouble/fined or possibly fired. Seriously, some of the top guys now would have been jobbers back in the 80's and 90's and now they are headlining pay per view events. The whole thing is stupid as hell.

Vince Russo is the person Toby Keith was singing about in the song “I Wanna Talk About Me”
100 percent correct. Bravo
I really believe Meltzer is on the spectrum
People on the spectrum wouldn't bullshit like Dave Meltzer.
Enjoyable rant, my friend.
Meltzer has made a living shitting on a business he claims to love
They've convinced themselves that wrestling is real bro!!!!!!
Dave had to skip the Vince Mcmahon press conference because he had just got some new All Japan VHS tapes in the mail. He was gonna ask you to come back to his hotel and watch Misawa matches with him.
So glad I didn't know about the dirt sheet world when I was a kid in 80's and 90's. Would have ruined the shows for me.
Either Scott D'more or Billy Corgan will be the subject next week 😂
Well... I can't say he's not lying about Meltzer🤷🏾♂️
Most of all, Vince is correct about journalism , which means the entire news media needs to be fired!!! It literally sounds like VR is describing the woke Democrat news media lol!!!
Cause republicans are known to not be bias themselves right?
You are right about Meltzer that man have been a cancer to wrestling for years and years.
Beatles Anthology 2 vinyl, I wonder has Vince heard The Beatles new song?
"I'm old, I'm hurt, and I work with children"
Within 3 minutes Vince Russo said exactly how I've been feeling and thinking for the last 20+ years it might even go back 25 years!!! Dave Meltzer is a glorified fan that's all he is that's correct Dave Meltzer if only a fan of Pro Wrestling that got Fandom from budding up with Pro Wrestlers 20+ years ago given away storyline spoilers and more for 20+ years
Cornette wants to see a tuxedo match or a hair match like this is 1975 Memphis wrestling lmaooo FOH- love his rants though
silence please my soap opera just started
Impressive rant off the top of your head. All stream of consciousness but it had a point.
Absolutely correct!
Dynamite ratings last night: 774,000 …
Dave has a flexible relationship with the truth.
"Bro"
~Vince Russo
The 3rd person talk is wild
I give this video 5 stars.
BRO
I like how Russo speaks the truth
I don't think it was the fact he was a consultant. It was that Dixie lied to Spike executives and said Russo wasn't working for them
Russo just said everything that I think about that guy and the dirty sheets
Bravo 👏
Real Talk!!
It ran very late, but when it arrived it was good.
The greatest story of all time was when Russo filed an order of protection against Cornette....
“20 minute train ride”
A lot of people hate you Mr. Russo, including people I am a fan of (like Cornette, Bischoff, ect.). But I kind of like you Sir. I was highly entertained during the Attitude Era.
I've been subbed to you for years and at some point UA-cam ubsubbed me this also happened to me with Razorfists channel
How can anybody believe or honor Meltzer's opinion after watching this?
The young bucks will be throwing hissy fits after hearing Russo give the goss on how guys report to meltzer😂
It’s either cm punk , Kyle o Reilly or Adam Cole behind the mask
Prichard gonna love this rant lol. Vince is back on Bruces xmas list
1991 Dave had the unfrozen caveman lawyer look
1991 Dave was drooling over Japanese wrestling that nobody outside Japan saw unless you were a tape trader.
@@Chaz4543 Why is Uncle Dave so obsessed with Japanese wrestling?
Because hipsters like the cool unpopular stuff that the mainstream doesnt watch.
@@Chaz4543 if you can watch a Kenta Kobashi vs Mitsuharu Misawa match and not come away amazed I truly don’t know what to say
i miss thee fink and tim white. legends of what they did.
