Finished the game just now (for the first time I guess lol). I found your walkthroughs when I was getting stuck on the first boss, and they are amazing. It's funny because now I can destroy the first boss without much effort. I beat biome 6 the first time through. I used a level 16 electropylon driver through all of biome 4 and almost all of biome 5. I only switched out when I got a level 24 electropylon driver. For the last boss, I used a level 28 of the same type of gun. It was pretty easy because you just hit the eyes once and the damage over time does its thing. Thanks again, you helped me not get too frustrated!
Wow, thanks so much for this walkthrough. After multiple failed biome 6 attempts, I took a super slow, 3 hour run clearing everything in biomes 4-6, and then was able to defeat Ophion on my first try using all of your tips. Thermogenic Launcher FTW!
The save feature is a game changer, I managed to complete biome 3 and 4 in one sitting (after upgrading myself before the run) and even completed biome 5 after a break. Your Boss guides also helped me so much! Finally I can enjoy this game!

Awesome walkthrough...after failing biome 5 over 10 times i just couldn't get why and realised I kept trying to go with crap weapons until seeing how much damage you can do with the launcher with full auto and once I got that straight through till the final boss of biome 6...I'm a bit tensed after seeing what this guy can do so I'll take a break and kill it tomorrow..i have 3 respawns- 1 parasite, 1 figurine and the resurrector so i should be good for a full on fight..again, can't thank you enough getting me past my stuck point...i was almost ready to give up but it's too good a game to just do that 😉

So I have beat dark souls 1,3and demons souls and blood borne n just beat this game . I think this game was the hardest in my opinion. Great game so glad I got it on sale for 50.00 on psn great walkthrough.
Thanks for the tip. I came across one with both the beam AND the turret. Just finished the game with biome 6 first try😃. With that weapon the final boss was really easy. Got hit once😅. In the end I had the most problems with the fifth biome in the snow and in the beginning at biome 2 and 3. But your skills also have to develop at that time...

@@harshitrakhiani8833 you’re going to want to kill most enemies you find so you can gain proficiency and get ooblites. You can definitely run past some enemies, but they’re extremely aggressive and have a long follow radius. As for the hollowseeker, that’s RNG. I recommend just scrounging through crates and you should get one as it’s one of the more common weapon spawns
Was stuck for a while on this biome, then did it first try after watching this video. I was being too cautious with malignant items. Didn't get to proficiency level 30 though for some reason. Thanks for the tips.

I'm happy to be helpful to you! Highly encourage you to take a look at the Tower of Sisyphus DLC once you finish. Doesn't take too long to get the DLC trophies and get the story content done, but it's a ton of fun!

I’m very jealous- you always have a launcher with full auto (and usually replicating rockets, as well). It seems like nearly every one you find has that upgrade, whereas I almost never see it in my playthroughs.
I'm on of those who are still stuck on the first biome... I kind of gave up on it after a lot of hours and frustration, being more like a casual gamer, this made me question why was I spending such a long time and still be stuck on the first level... But after watching this, it kind of gave some inspiration to give this another try... Not sure if my patience will survive though.

Tip : When you reach the shop, before you drop down into further. Make 100 percent sure you are done with the layer you are on. Ive done this 3 times now where i thought you could go back. You cant. So finish that layer first , then go down. Also i managed to beat final boss with the driver weapon. That thing is sick in small areas. Or vs boss dogs.
Somewhere between biomes 3-5 everything clicked - took down Ophion using no consumables on first attempt. What a fun fight and a great game. Can’t wait to get the true ending next. Appreciate your content as always!
Congrats on finishing the game! The combat clicking is the most important thing. You start to feel unstoppable once that happens. The game becomes super fluid.
@@SweetJohnnyCage Now the platinum grind begins. They must have tweaked the rng in post launch patches - I somehow managed upwards of 80% survey completion in 2 biomes on a single play through, while none were below 40%. Either that or I was extremely lucky. We shall see!
Just beat it. First try. Had the hardest time going through biome 2-3. Multiple failures. Considered quitting. Biome 4-5 were easier. And did biome 6 1st try. Had astronaut and biome respawner. Used both before getting to ophion. Got a 30 electropylon driver. And it made the boss laughable. Lol feels like I cheated. Thanks!!!! For your tips and walkthroughs for the bosses. Prob would have quit if not for you.
Man I hope I get some good RNG artefacts like you have here in my next run. I made it to the final boss on my first attempt and got him down to half health in phase 3 but was struggling to figure out how to damage him properly with the pylon driver. Lost all 3 revives to one of those elite big squid guys just before him too :(
Normally I don't watch these kind of guides, but after a couple of crashes on several hour long runs on Biome 6, I didn't want to risk anything anymore. And... I finally beat the game. Thank you for the video, loved the narration and it was a real pleasure to watch.
Congrats on beating the game! Crashes (and patches???) are the worst in this game. I have no idea why they didn't implement some kind of save, even just at the start of a biome or something, in case of a crash. At least we got the reconstructors, I guess :\
Smashed the entire biome intill I got to the drop after the shop.... with I had it as easy as u did. I have 4 of those balls and one of those mini bosses trying to jump on my head constantly with all the others speeding into me. Was ridiculous the layout i had. 🙄
yeah got the same, don't have to tell you 3 lives weren't enough. also tried doombringer first time ever and that shit didn't want to shoot as it's trying to charge and I tried and tried to shoot it unsuccessfully thinking c'mon this BFG will clear the room 😂
Rotgland Lobber, my weapon of choice🙂. I pretty much take down everything quickly in biome 5 and 6 with that gun now, with or without buffs from artefacts that give bonus damage.
I had such bad rng during this biome. Shitty weapons, every healing item and chest was contaminated. Just beat Ophion today, though. What a push over boss compared to the rest of the Biome. Quite glad really. I seriously didn't want to go through it again.
Just beat the boss 1st try with no health healing items CRUSHED the boss with the lobber came very close to quitting the game cause of frustration but i stayed with and this feels AWESOME biome 4 was very difficult for me CRUSHED that boss as well with the same weapon picked up it just before boss fight in biome 4 and kept it all the way to boss 6 I’m so pumped electricity might come out of me great video! FIGHT…
Was playing yesterday looking for the sun fragments. Made it to the abysmal scar and couldn't find the last piece. I figured, oh well, I'll go and fight the boss, die and start again. Unfortunately I had a level 25 launcher with trailing rocket and a golden coil that multiplied my damage based on my adrenaline level. before I knew it, boss was dead and I had to start over anyway. Now I STILL can't find the sun fragment in biome 6 😢
I just beat Act 2 this evening and I was puzzled as how easy the final boss, Ophion, is. It might have been the easiest boss of the game. It wasn't even challenging dodging his attacks or anything. Just shoot the orbs, shoot the weakpoints, repeat.
I think they toned it down compared to Hyperion, since you're underwater and the gravity is a bit floaty. You can't play as quickly as the rest of the game demands in any other stage.
The boss isn't easy, but your skills probably are way beyond what the game requires at this point. It took me 4 tries to beat Phrike, Ixion and Nemesis, only 1 to beat Hyperion and 2 to beat Ophion. The last bosses are harder, but at this stage I mastered the game already.
@@MJeffSantos I also beat Hyperion on first attempt, I think he's the easiest boss in the game. Anyway I beat Option again yesterday for the secret ending and he went down even faster, I was using a mediocre Pyro-whatever it's called- the one that shoots grenades.
@@Sgro81 The thing I found can be tough about Hyperion is if you don't have a weapon that does a lot of damage at long range for Phase 3. The first two times, that was the problem for me. The first time I beat it, I used a Rotgland Lobber, which made very quick work of phase 3. The second time I used a electropylon driver, which also killed it pretty quickly. I had the Doombringer alt-fire, which definitely helped a lot.
Can't beat Ophion. That bullet hell in Phase 3 is so tough not mentioning the cheesy arm swipe he does. I can breeze into Biome 4 but have a dilemma of should I go for Boime 5 to collect artifacts, etc. or just go straight to Biome 6 after 4?
omg I lucked out so much on this boss! I found revive parasite in the last room with the big door which saved me in the fight (used all before). Then in the fight I didn't see those eyes for some reason. So was shooting pylons blindly the whole fight lol! I got into the 3rd phase quite easily despite that. Now the hell started. I used a red shield and just stood in place and brought the boss to like 30% hp but then he killed me. But the parasite revived me! And I was still getting my ass kicked but then I saw I have another red shield! I had a parasite with 20% chance to not use a consumable and it gave me the shield. So I immediately hid behind and finished this damn thing on 1st try. Didn't watch any guide but read pylon is godly in this fight so that helped a lot!
Start over from scratch every time you die. Don't run straight to the teleporters/shortcuts to the next biome. Clear 4 and 5 before going to 6. It sounds daunting, but you'll end up shredding through everything pretty fast.
i believe you can skip easy 5 biome if you are lucky at 4. You take enough energy in biome 6. Not of course like yours but enough to have chances to win. I died second time so deep in the abys before the key because this mini boses.I hate it :(
Same happened to me my first time in and I was right at the door but a Swimming Pshyco came and we fought it out both on our last pinch of life and took me out. I cried in my sleep😢
I need to level up my launcher that thing does shred. I have a electro pylon with good traits at the moment but if I die on this run I’m gonna put some time into that launcher for sure . Currently on biome 6 but I think I screwed my self and let way too many spawns populate without taking down the mama bear . We will see how it goes later ..
Thanks for the video. Seems like you pick up guns based only on their main profiency rating as opposed to their other stats. Like you took that 30 thermo over the 29 but the 29 had way more bonus damage. I would have stayed with the 29 because of that. Am I missing something with weapon ratings? They don’t make it super clear.....
Nah, you're probably right. I primarily go by level, but also the bonus effects like piercing and stuff like that. I don't often look at the stats haha.
Thanks for the guides, with your guides I died one time on my first run ever. It was in biome 4 like 5 mins into it fighting purple tentacle man. Beat the rest of the game in one life and only got hit by the final boss once.
Hey. Am in Biom 4. Was curious to lnow if after beating Biom 6 boss - Do i loose all my traits, weapon, arrefacts again or i can carry them further into the game. I am asking this with regards to if i take the time to make a good character and save profile then can i use the save file to go from bion to biom. For eg. If i enter biom 1 after completing the game am i again locked till i complete boom 3 or can access other bioms since i would not have access to the ship.. Thanks and Regards..
Finishing the game has the same effect as dying. You restart in Biome 4. That said, there are still memories in the house to collect and there is a bit of an NG+ where certain things only appear after finishing the game, to allow you to get the secret ending.
Are there any translocators om biome 6? I usually go back to the levels fabricators before fighting the boss. But I cant seem to find a way of backtracking in biome 6.I don't know if this is a glitch or something.
A question though: in the second playthrough you said I won't fight the bosses just go through the biomes but after biome 3 will I lose everything as the first playthrough?
I just got to biome 6 but 2ho left 😭 I have astronaut but that only revives with about 40% health. I suspended my game for a break, because I don’t feel confident. I know I’ll probably use astronaut before boss or get to boss with small Heath and die. Doing biome 4,5 and 6 again, will be so frustrating. I just want to finish the game, so I can go back and play biome 1,2,3 and get stuff I missed but can’t do so, until I beat biome 6 boss
Graham, you can do this!!! Biome 5 is a lot harder than 6, as long as you take it slow. The big beefy enemies that you run into can be avoided as long as you don't panic while timing your dodges. Everything else is at a distance, so if you can find a weapon with homing bullets or projectiles, you don't have much to worry about.
@@SweetJohnnyCage thanks for the support. I bloody barely made it through biome 5. I did challenge room last, as I thought I could skip it but you clearly can’t. I fought those 2 mini bosses on last wave of challenge room and I was 1 smack away from death and somehow beat them. Let’s just hope that I don’t die to the first part of biome 6 to those squid and use my astronaut. I’m 1 hit from death tho. I’ll have to hope I can get to health pick up. It’s 11.30pm now and I think I will carry on my run on biome 6, tomorrow. Tho I am tempted to try tonight. If I do and die , I’ll have to cry myself to sleep 😭😭😭 Oh and thanks for this walkthrough, I’m sure it will help me to finish this biome and great gameplay 👍
It's not something I ever thought of doing, but it's something everyone tells me about haha. In my GOTY playthrough, I talk about it and make a habit of doing it whenever I remember. I never relied on or paid attention to adrenaline, as it resets (for the most part) whenever you get hit, and I'm always getting hit haha.
Anyone else encountered a gateway glitch on this level. I headed back to get the cube after acquiring the skill and then couldn't progress forward due to a gateway sending me to a dead end room! Back to biome 4 I go!! 😤
@@UniqueParticle If you haven't tried it with the electropylon driver, give that a shot. You only have to hit each eye once, and it seemed to me that the energy arcing from one pylon to another was enough to do it also. If you can't see the eyes, just hit the glowing orbs to the left and right of the boss. You can focus more on dodging because you don't have to continuously hit each eye.
This was a continuous playthrough from Biome 1 through Biome 6. I never died, except for once in Biome 4 very early on, so it didn't make a difference.
Yes, but they're hidden. You'll come across a side room (dark blue door) that has some pillars for you to jump on, with a single chest on the far side. You want to jump off these pillars and sink to the bottom. The archive is down there.
This game is too fucking hard for me 😥. Wave after wave at the end in biome 6 just to start all over again. Im very close to giving up and just trading it in for Rachet & Clank.

Hollowseeker with the portal beam got me through 4,5 and deep into 6. Lol that gun is insane.

Pylon driver is weak at start, but once upgraded that thing is a beast. I did biome 6 just with it, just to see how great it is. Way worth it.

Hollowseeker with Portal Beam/Turret makes this biome a breeze. You can kill whatever shit you want from miles away.

Got to 5th biome, collected the 3 keys to unlock the 6th biome and beat the game (first time on 6th biome)

Now the platinum grind begins. They must have tweaked the rng in post launch patches - I somehow managed upwards of 80% survey completion in 2 biomes on a single play through, while none were below 40%. Either that or I was extremely lucky. We shall see!
Just beat it. First try. Had the hardest time going through biome 2-3. Multiple failures. Considered quitting. Biome 4-5 were easier. And did biome 6 1st try. Had astronaut and biome respawner. Used both before getting to ophion. Got a 30 electropylon driver. And it made the boss laughable. Lol feels like I cheated. Thanks!!!! For your tips and walkthroughs for the bosses. Prob would have quit if not for you.

Man I hope I get some good RNG artefacts like you have here in my next run. I made it to the final boss on my first attempt and got him down to half health in phase 3 but was struggling to figure out how to damage him properly with the pylon driver. Lost all 3 revives to one of those elite big squid guys just before him too :(

Finally got thru this biome with a hollowseeker..... portal beam II, oscillator, slipstream II. Weapon is smooth silk
Shooting the hollowseeker feels so good in the hands w/ the Dualsense!
The squids are the number one enemies stopping me from having completed biome 6
Normally I don't watch these kind of guides, but after a couple of crashes on several hour long runs on Biome 6, I didn't want to risk anything anymore.
And... I finally beat the game.

Congrats on beating the game! Crashes (and patches???) are the worst in this game. I have no idea why they didn't implement some kind of save, even just at the start of a biome or something, in case of a crash. At least we got the reconstructors, I guess :\
Smashed the entire biome intill I got to the drop after the shop.... with I had it as easy as u did. I have 4 of those balls and one of those mini bosses trying to jump on my head constantly with all the others speeding into me. Was ridiculous the layout i had. 🙄
yeah got the same, don't have to tell you 3 lives weren't enough. also tried doombringer first time ever and that shit didn't want to shoot as it's trying to charge and I tried and tried to shoot it unsuccessfully thinking c'mon this BFG will clear the room 😂
The hardest part is when you get down on the floor full of random elite mobs.
Oh and just before the boss an elite just ambushed me 😂😂
I wonder if it wandered over from the key area? The boss door area is always empty for me.

Rotgland Lobber, my weapon of choice🙂. I pretty much take down everything quickly in biome 5 and 6 with that gun now, with or without buffs from artefacts that give bonus damage.
I had such bad rng during this biome. Shitty weapons, every healing item and chest was contaminated. Just beat Ophion today, though. What a push over boss compared to the rest of the Biome. Quite glad really. I seriously didn't want to go through it again.
Just beat the boss 1st try with no health healing items CRUSHED the boss with the lobber came very close to quitting the game cause of frustration but i stayed with and this feels AWESOME biome 4 was very difficult for me CRUSHED that boss as well with the same weapon picked up it just before boss fight in biome 4 and kept it all the way to boss 6 I’m so pumped electricity might come out of me great video! FIGHT…

I keep only getting to 29 weapon proficiency 😭 and that challenge room is stressful. Trying to keep my adrenaline up in there is painful
Was playing yesterday looking for the sun fragments. Made it to the abysmal scar and couldn't find the last piece. I figured, oh well, I'll go and fight the boss, die and start again. Unfortunately I had a level 25 launcher with trailing rocket and a golden coil that multiplied my damage based on my adrenaline level. before I knew it, boss was dead and I had to start over anyway. Now I STILL can't find the sun fragment in biome 6 😢

I just beat Act 2 this evening and I was puzzled as how easy the final boss, Ophion, is. It might have been the easiest boss of the game. It wasn't even challenging dodging his attacks or anything. Just shoot the orbs, shoot the weakpoints, repeat.
I think they toned it down compared to Hyperion, since you're underwater and the gravity is a bit floaty. You can't play as quickly as the rest of the game demands in any other stage.
The boss isn't easy, but your skills probably are way beyond what the game requires at this point. It took me 4 tries to beat Phrike, Ixion and Nemesis, only 1 to beat Hyperion and 2 to beat Ophion. The last bosses are harder, but at this stage I mastered the game already.
@@MJeffSantos I also beat Hyperion on first attempt, I think he's the easiest boss in the game. Anyway I beat Option again yesterday for the secret ending and he went down even faster, I was using a mediocre Pyro-whatever it's called- the one that shoots grenades.
@@Sgro81 The thing I found can be tough about Hyperion is if you don't have a weapon that does a lot of damage at long range for Phase 3. The first two times, that was the problem for me. The first time I beat it, I used a Rotgland Lobber, which made very quick work of phase 3. The second time I used a electropylon driver, which also killed it pretty quickly. I had the Doombringer alt-fire, which definitely helped a lot.
And I thought soulsborne games are hard 😆

Can't beat Ophion. That bullet hell in Phase 3 is so tough not mentioning the cheesy arm swipe he does. I can breeze into Biome 4 but have a dilemma of should I go for Boime 5 to collect artifacts, etc. or just go straight to Biome 6 after 4?
omg I lucked out so much on this boss! I found revive parasite in the last room with the big door which saved me in the fight (used all before). Then in the fight I didn't see those eyes for some reason. So was shooting pylons blindly the whole fight lol! I got into the 3rd phase quite easily despite that. Now the hell started. I used a red shield and just stood in place and brought the boss to like 30% hp but then he killed me. But the parasite revived me! And I was still getting my ass kicked but then I saw I have another red shield! I had a parasite with 20% chance to not use a consumable and it gave me the shield. So I immediately hid behind and finished this damn thing on 1st try. Didn't watch any guide but read pylon is godly in this fight so that helped a lot!

How much of biome 5 would you recommend re-grinding for subsequent attempts on biome 6?
I go through everything except the bonus room, unless I'm feeling saucy. The weapon XP and health pickups are so important for the final biome.

Start over from scratch every time you die. Don't run straight to the teleporters/shortcuts to the next biome. Clear 4 and 5 before going to 6. It sounds daunting, but you'll end up shredding through everything pretty fast.
i believe you can skip easy 5 biome if you are lucky at 4. You take enough energy in biome 6. Not of course like yours but enough to have chances to win.

Same happened to me my first time in and I was right at the door but a Swimming Pshyco came and we fought it out both on our last pinch of life and took me out. I cried in my sleep😢

I need to level up my launcher that thing does shred. I have a electro pylon with good traits at the moment but if I die on this run I’m gonna put some time into that launcher for sure . Currently on biome 6 but I think I screwed my self and let way too many spawns populate without taking down the mama bear . We will see how it goes later ..
Thanks for the video. Seems like you pick up guns based only on their main profiency rating as opposed to their other stats. Like you took that 30 thermo over the 29 but the 29 had way more bonus damage. I would have stayed with the 29 because of that. Am I missing something with weapon ratings? They don’t make it super clear.....
Nah, you're probably right. I primarily go by level, but also the bonus effects like piercing and stuff like that. I don't often look at the stats haha.
Thanks for the guides, with your guides I died one time on my first run ever. It was in biome 4 like 5 mins into it fighting purple tentacle man. Beat the rest of the game in one life and only got hit by the final boss once.

Hey. Am in Biom 4. Was curious to lnow if after beating Biom 6 boss - Do i loose all my traits, weapon, arrefacts again or i can carry them further into the game. I am asking this with regards to if i take the time to make a good character and save profile then can i use the save file to go from bion to biom. For eg. If i enter biom 1 after completing the game am i again locked till i complete boom 3 or can access other bioms since i would not have access to the ship.. Thanks and Regards..
Finishing the game has the same effect as dying. You restart in Biome 4. That said, there are still memories in the house to collect and there is a bit of an NG+ where certain things only appear after finishing the game, to allow you to get the secret ending.
Are there any translocators om biome 6? I usually go back to the levels fabricators before fighting the boss. But I cant seem to find a way of backtracking in biome 6.I don't know if this is a glitch or something.

I just got to biome 6 but 2ho left 😭 I have astronaut but that only revives with about 40% health. I suspended my game for a break, because I don’t feel confident. I know I’ll probably use astronaut before boss or get to boss with small Heath and die. Doing biome 4,5 and 6 again, will be so frustrating. I just want to finish the game, so I can go back and play biome 1,2,3 and get stuff I missed but can’t do so, until I beat biome 6 boss
Graham, you can do this!!! Biome 5 is a lot harder than 6, as long as you take it slow. The big beefy enemies that you run into can be avoided as long as you don't panic while timing your dodges. Everything else is at a distance, so if you can find a weapon with homing bullets or projectiles, you don't have much to worry about.
@@SweetJohnnyCage thanks for the support. I bloody barely made it through biome 5. I did challenge room last, as I thought I could skip it but you clearly can’t. I fought those 2 mini bosses on last wave of challenge room and I was 1 smack away from death and somehow beat them. Let’s just hope that I don’t die to the first part of biome 6 to those squid and use my astronaut. I’m 1 hit from death tho. I’ll have to hope I can get to health pick up. It’s 11.30pm now and I think I will carry on my run on biome 6, tomorrow. Tho I am tempted to try tonight. If I do and die , I’ll have to cry myself to sleep 😭😭😭

Bro, at about 51:10 you passed up an apex sphere while your adrenaline was at 0.5...why not swap for it, use it, then pick up your dropped items?
It's not something I ever thought of doing, but it's something everyone tells me about haha. In my GOTY playthrough, I talk about it and make a habit of doing it whenever I remember.
I never relied on or paid attention to adrenaline, as it resets (for the most part) whenever you get hit, and I'm always getting hit haha.

Anyone else encountered a gateway glitch on this level. I headed back to get the cube after acquiring the skill and then couldn't progress forward due to a gateway sending me to a dead end room! Back to biome 4 I go!! 😤

@@UniqueParticle If you haven't tried it with the electropylon driver, give that a shot. You only have to hit each eye once, and it seemed to me that the energy arcing from one pylon to another was enough to do it also. If you can't see the eyes, just hit the glowing orbs to the left and right of the boss. You can focus more on dodging because you don't have to continuously hit each eye.

This was a continuous playthrough from Biome 1 through Biome 6. I never died, except for once in Biome 4 very early on, so it didn't make a difference.

How did you keep gaining health at around 45:00? You had lost about half, then all of a sudden it started to go up?
I had a parasite that gave me Damage Siphon at Level 1 Adrenaline. You can see it activate at 45:12.

Yes, but they're hidden.
You'll come across a side room (dark blue door) that has some pillars for you to jump on, with a single chest on the far side. You want to jump off these pillars and sink to the bottom. The archive is down there.

That's odd. It resembles the doors that you need to find the wall switch for. It's possible I shot it while killing the enemy?

Not really, but there are no locked rooms along the normal path, so you can effectively just run to the boss.
Putting missable optional ability behind a locked door and not providing a single key on the 5th biome level (annoyed face)
