At the end of a slow and methodical session from biome4-6, I was out of all consumables, all revive artifact and parasite and my health was in red when I reached this boss. So I watched your video to prepare for a practice run, fully accepting that I have to make yet another journey tomorrow to attempt this. As I sank down the depths to reach Ophion, my heart sank thinking this was the end of a long and arduous process culminating in failure. But lo' as the fight started, a health resin appeared in front of me and it filled out my base health bar as if the game said, 'You can do it, I got you'. What followed was perhaps the best few minutes of my entire gaming life. At the end of what I can only describe as dance with death, I beat Ophion. As the final bullets left my carbine and Ophion disappeared with a wounded howl, I just sat in front of my TV, shaking and lost for words. Truly it is an amazing game. I can't wait to dive back in to uncover the rest of the story. Thank you once again for helping me and countless others with this detailed guide.
love this!! i'm yet to beat the final boss i've been playing non stop for weeks...I let out a loud scream of happiness with each biome/boss defeated!! This game has made me a better player!! My tip for those stuck on biome 1 is to just keep going..its fustrating as hell but once you've done it you will have a much easier time (playing wise) Also try and get hold of the WATCH or ASTRONAUGHT as they are basically extra lives.
Thanks brother, Ophion owed me for a couple of days. Right before the boss encounter, I had double integrity, astro doll, adrenaline leech, parasite re-birth, hollow gun at 27, And still got owned at the death room before the final fight :) Barely survived with half health and no items remaining. I thought it was over to. But with your tips I was so determined, I got him to phase 3, And I swear we were both at the last hit, and I got him :) I felt like I won the super bowl I was jumping up and down ") so rewarding. What a great game. This is one of the best all time games ever made. Very challenging, but so rewarding when you finally finish it. Thanks again for your help. Would have never done it without you :)
That slow-mo break down is very helpful. I owe these first time boss wins to content producers like yourself, which might not be something devs in general are happy about but much appreciated either way. Anyone who's played a lot of Risk Of Rain 2 as Commando will already be at a major advantage which is why I feel I'm managing to melt through the stages. I might even make a video about how Selene is essentially commando from the Risk Of Rain series, but first I will take on this boss now
I got in there with a 24 automatic rifle and melted his life bars away at first try😱 the whole fight took barely a minute... because of your vid I knew what to expect, thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏

Not only is this guide the most detailed (to me at least), but you approached it from a conservative position of using only a lvl 26 weapon (also me, being lazy the other night; I find that the more challenge rooms I try to complete, the worse my Ophion situation seems to get). Also, your voice is indeed very soothing. Hopefully I can finally beat this damn thing this week sometime. I was about to make my third attempt when the game crashed. XD *facepalm*
Thanks for this guide! I also had a pretty tough time in this last biom so I didn't want to come unprepared for this boss. And I must say, even with having like 75% of the basic resin health I managed to kill him at first attempt 😁👌. Wouldn't bea ble to do it without your guide! So thanks again
LMAO, I just beat him and I didn’t even know you have to shoot the red orb on him. I got to him maximum health and I have a parasite that revive me and a lot of protection and bonus damage, So I killed him first try lol. I was so confused because I was just shooting everything oh him after I shoot the blue orb. I have zero chance of losing the fight because I was so powerful Great game and I can’t wait for a sequel.
