The original Jaguar XF was a revolution in the Indian market, it had more road presence and standout apperance than any of its rivals. But this one was an utter failure.
India needs some performance vehicles to provide some perspective. 7.6 sec 0-100 and it's the most exciting "large" luxury car? I mean, I get that it compares really nicely to Indian vehicular standards but come on! You guys need some big displacement naturally aspirated motors to get that beautiful throttle response that can only be found with NA motors! Sure fuel efficiency is a large factor, but if one is buying a Jag or Merc I doubt that the buyer is whining about the rupees being spent on fuel. Sure turbos are all the rage right now but it takes away from the character of the driving experience. There ain't no replacement for displacement! I still got faith though, let's get some of that REAL import power on the roads!
Nikhil Bhatia that is a fair point. Whenever I have visited India (Hyderabad to be exact) the only smooth roads capable of handling speed were probably the highways and the outer ring road. But I just can't wrap my mind around why people don't go for the more powerful versions. I can definitely see that the M3 doesn't sell nearly as well as the 328i but many people here in the US opt for the more powerful 335i. When a buyer is already dropping such a large chunk of change, I don't see the point of not going the extra mile to get the better engine. I guess its just a different mindset. I am just baffled when I see even the millionaires of India still driving around in Ventos and Corollas. Not ragging on Indians or anything though you guys definitely have some things down better than the west ever will. Priorities are just different according to the place one lives and the environment around them I guess.
santhosh Pereira Yea I'm sure theres a few cars here and there but they are nothing more than novelties that are not available to the masses! Honestly, how much fun can you have in a little 3 cylinder NA diesel that makes less than 100 bhp? Not too much. Not even with a stick. You guys really need them, trust me. It'll be a hell of a time!
lest reliable car manufacturer sold my 2012 xf in August I hate it after sale service is horrible and vehicle it self Is way fragile for our conditions.
Rohan G. Nair Saying outright that your taste is better than someone else's without even knowing the individual makes you look more stupid than you already are! Sorry but I had to.
The new E doesn't have leather seats(artico isn't real leather), has too much plastic(almost as much as a C-Class) and at the moment until the E 220 arrives, their top end E350d costs 10lacs more than the fully loaded Jaguar XF portfolio. The previous E was more desirable than the current LWB model IMO. Fully expect BMW to beat them and the XF with the new 5er but I'd probably go for the new XF because of exclusivity.
From wiki, I can see they have V8 also Petrol ========= 2.0 T I4 3.0 V6 3.0 S V6 4.2 V8 4.2 S V8 5.0 V8 5.0 S V8 Diesel ============ 2.2 I4 2.7 V6 3.0 V6
Blend of Bland and Bland. Proportions make it look lanky. More sleeping Giraffe than Jaguar. A missed opportunity. Suited to old, impotent and bald retired shop owners.

Suneil Bhaskara agree, but we don't have the roads for proper performance sedans. Not many buy the powerful versions that are on sale either.

Excellent superb video congrats
What is ur name?
I want new 3.0 liter disel 300 bhp
Great car, but i just don't like that orange interior. Its so irritating!
You reap what you sow that interior isn't simple. The orange and black combo is bad. My taste in interiors is much better than yours.
You reap what you sow even that's your opinion man. I'm fine.
Rohan G. Nair it's different! The lower specs plain black cabin is way too boring!
Rohan G. Nair Saying outright that your taste is better than someone else's without even knowing the individual makes you look more stupid than you already are! Sorry but I had to.
good driving skills
my vehicle is jaguar XE very nice car
just does not feel as desirable as an e-class
SRS Productions jaguar may look gorgeous but mercedes' interior can be compared to 5 star hotel

Dumbed down Jaguar.. Where is V6 ? Pathetic
thandermax sadly no market for it in India.
Paying 60+ lakhs for a inline 4 cylinder ??
Jetta or Octavia would have been better choice. Paying 60+ lakhs for body work !! Sad
