@@cjon24s69 I had a bit of a look around and you are right, the HCCA amps, DC Audio, Taramps etc are all around 100dB S/N at full swing. The biggest Alpine monoblock I could think of (MRX-M240) will do 108dB at rated power (1500w) into 4 ohms. So with my math (going by the rated 1935w @4ohm numbers), this Synergy amp is running about 39dB of gain, so you could say that its S/N at 1w output will be about 61dB or maybe even below 60. The Alpine is rated for 82dB. Rockford Elite amps from 2004 (eg T40001bd) are rated for >80dB at 1w also. These are top shelf brands give their manuals detailed and realistic specs, for example, they both admit their S/N figure is A-weighted, the RF amps even include their slew rate! My point is that having shit loads of power like this on the cheap is more often than not, going to come at the cost of a ton of noise at idle or low level listening. But you get what you pay for.

I've never used bass boost on my other amps except my pioneer which the "bass knob" was the bass boost vs remote gain and I would up it only on rock with no bass, but i experimented with bass boost on my new APCLE 1800 because it has frequency for boost. My box is tuned to 29 so on rock it's not as good so I set it at a higher frequency and upped it some and worked good but I turned it off because I still heard not much but a did hear a slight bit of boost down low and I was paranoid it would clip even on low bass type music where I set my gains without it but in theory it shouuuld be ok...but not worth it to me.

Why do I say this? Because half the time I get a full bridge amp on the dyno its so damn finicky I have to worry about it blowing up (and they have... numerous times). Full Bridge amps have failed the most of all amps on my dyno.. And its not from running them beyond what they are rated for... @@MW-sw7so lol 🤣... Back in the day, I was always an Orion guy... About 12-13yrs ago, a buddy of mines (who was heavily into car audio in the 80s & 90s) told me about old-school Xtant (and a few other brands). The good Xtant has a reputation for good SQ. I found out that Xtant's lineage ties in with some very reputable companies & Amp Designers/Techs (back when Arizona was the hotspot-hub for car audio). As I familiarized myself with the Xtant brand, I kept noticing that many people stashed these amps away; they'd protectively wrap & hoard them. The good Xtant stuff is prized amongst collectors, hardly ever looses value, and [in good shape] always fetches a good amount on eBay. You may want to Un-install that beauty... and neatly put her away. 😉🙃

Wow that was amazing 1ohm dynamic! And for someone who wants to say taramps blah blah this amplifier isn’t much more then the taramps anyway...and you have to replace the taramps every 3-6 months of your really running it lol
That is not what bass boost is for. And yes u can use bass boost and have it work just fine and not blow subs, The whole point of bass boost is to help with the bottom end of the frequency if your tuning is higher or small sealed boxes. The bass boosts frequency usually 35hz or 45hzor Adjustable to help flatten the bass response. Bass boost is to be used first before your gain, NOT after to just bury the clipping to the max . my box I have at the moment is tuned to 37hz, I use quiet a bit of bass boost to help with below tuning , then I turn the gain up till I see clipping. the whole point is to get a flatter bass response if you're not worried about having the loudest subwoofer for one song . I run a JP2300 on a single 10 inch sundown Classic in a 2.25 cube net box with 36 inches of port area. I beat the shit out of it and its loud , I've had walled set ups and this ten is getting down and hits below 30hz all day long and its been 8 months still slamming. People have been taught just like me 20 years ago that bass boost was bad, but amazing how so many amps still have it too this day. if u use your bass boost correctly it's no different than using DSP for an Audio control amp or alot of home theater amps to get the flattest response u can. So yes when you use your bass boost first u will get to clipping at that frequency first and be under clipping for the rest otherwise u might have a peaky box that rocks out for only one genre of music.
So what's the "bass knob" control if not bass boost? Gain level? I only use boost when the music playing doesn't have enough thump, who wants to replace subs. Im getting the 5k next week so guess I'll find out if no one knows
Neither.... Trauma and Synergy customized designs from S&I... This is not the same thing as RF designing a all new amp, but better than just straight generic
I would love too see him dyno an Orion 8k I have 2 on 12 batteries and my voltage drops below 11 when I really punch it , I would just like to see what they do on the dyno
I saw BigD dyno an Orion HCCA 3k (cant remember exact model number)... It kicked out over 10k watts. I believe that it topped out somewhere around 11-12k. 🤯 AND IT WAS HALF THE SIZE OF THE Synergy Amp. 🤷♂️
Did anyone notice he was trying to be like Wilson audio labs with a little extra if you watch the credits, and if you notice in the beginning I think he hooked up the amp wrong because he goes on about the plus and negative positions... Just saying LOL 🤣🤪😂😁😛
As mentioned, if I had reversed the polarity I wouldnt have had a video, and I would be out $900 buying the owner of this amp a new one.... The rant was caused because on my test bench I have my power connections drilled into the side of the bench, and I run short runs of power wire to the amp and 3 of them in different orders was really pissing me off connecting them lol.
Wolfram doesn't use S&I (Except for the old C2400)... so you didn't see it there... DC and Crescendo is possible, but my understanding is these are unique boards

@@jr1001jr i cant put it away its too fun!!
Yeah, i think i heard back in the day, people from orion, ppi, phoenix gold left those companies and started XTANT,did u hear that too?
@@jr1001jr also williston audio labs on you tube tested an orion amp and it produced over 13,000 wats and pulled over 1000 amps!! You should watch it!!
So what did the SYN 3.5k do on dyno??
So out of the 3 test which one is the most important?
Great video. 👍
Love the channel and the video keep it up. And what track are you using during the dynos I've tried shazaming it and can't find it or who does it.
It's literally stuff they got off of Alibaba from S&I and DONGGUAN ERISSON ACOUSTICS.
Yesssssssssssssss zBuT tHeY aRe So gOoD
Welcome to the global economy. No longer limited to vendors!
@@CORZER0 It's totally the current state of the industry. Sundown gets all of their stuff from DONGGUAN, too.
So what's the "bass knob" control if not bass boost? Gain level? I only use boost when the music playing doesn't have enough thump, who wants to replace subs. Im getting the 5k next week so guess I'll find out if no one knows
A "bass knob" is pretty much gain attenuation.. it is not Bass boost.
@@bigblank69 well that's even better. Thankyou sir! Im
Did Synergy copy Trauma or did, Trauma copy Synergy Mr Blankenship you must answer the question? Absolutely love the up loads.
Neither.... Trauma and Synergy customized designs from S&I... This is not the same thing as RF designing a all new amp, but better than just straight generic
Nice amp Awesome job!
Any word on the 5 channel yet?
Please dyno a ORION HCCA 8k
I have 2-ts3.5 V.1s like to see a dyno at .5 ohms
Protects like most Korean amps do on the dyno below .8 ohms
I wanna see that 5 channel you previewed at the very end
WOW! That's very impressive...
does it run hot at all
Over 1,000 watts of dynamic head room @4ohms 🤯
about 1.7dB dynamic headroom from 1% THD continuous to 1% THD dynamic at 40hz
If the left side power and ground were flipped it would be great.
or maybe 2 banks 3 on one and 3 on the other
Okay I went on their website and they have an 8000 1 you said the biggest amp they make is the 5000 but you are mistaken
Please dyno a Orion HCCA 8k. That’s what I have
I would love too see him dyno an Orion 8k I have 2 on 12 batteries and my voltage drops below 11 when I really punch it , I would just like to see what they do on the dyno
I saw BigD dyno an Orion HCCA 3k (cant remember exact model number)...
It kicked out over 10k watts.
I believe that it topped out somewhere around 11-12k.
🤯
AND IT WAS HALF THE SIZE OF THE Synergy Amp. 🤷♂️
Did anyone notice he was trying to be like Wilson audio labs with a little extra if you watch the credits, and if you notice in the beginning I think he hooked up the amp wrong because he goes on about the plus and negative positions... Just saying LOL 🤣🤪😂😁😛
If he hooked it up wrong, amp would have been blown and unable to test
As mentioned, if I had reversed the polarity I wouldnt have had a video, and I would be out $900 buying the owner of this amp a new one.... The rant was caused because on my test bench I have my power connections drilled into the side of the bench, and I run short runs of power wire to the amp and 3 of them in different orders was really pissing me off connecting them lol.
some serious power there wii
Big numbers but I'd be impressed if they didn't use junk caps inside! Rubycon, Nichicon, Hitachi, Panasonic electrolytics FTW!
Please dyno ORION HCCA 8k
I'm pretty sure I've seen that same board design in Wolfram, DC Audio, and Crescendo amps. Monster amp for sure.
Wolfram doesn't use S&I (Except for the old C2400)... so you didn't see it there... DC and Crescendo is possible, but my understanding is these are unique boards
it looks pretty familiar to that dc 7.5k
so top 3 gems is 1.)Orion HCCA 3000.1SPLX thing did 4k to 11k on Big D's channel things just rare 2.)Synergy Audio 5k-9k watts 3.)Wolfram 7500
Dynamic I wouldnt put much weight into... Most underrated amp I have seen uncertified is the Powerus 8000
👍😎👍 ORION!!! HCCA!!! 👍😎👍
I miss my synergy 2k amp
I'll still run with the orion 2500 xtr pro
I want one of these sooooo bad!!!
To bad the price will double after this video😢
Nope. That was wolfram lol. The owner of synergy is an awesome guy and doesnt pull that kinda stuff
Now it’s $1,100
It’s still 899 on preorder right now. And Curt does seem like a good guy! Always been there to help me out any time I had a question.
It's 1100 dollars right now
looks good
