WHAT? Oh god what's wrong with the wheels? I JUST bought mine, but in the Taiga leather. They were telling me the Eclipse was gonna take until January 2017. I saw the Taiga Ardoise in the store and decided to just complete my Taiga collection with the Horizon suitcase. So far on my way home, there were no tire issues. A bit wobbly on the telescoping handle, but I dunno if that's because of the very light aluminum that was used to make it weigh as least as possible. What they told me was the cause was that they had launched it in limited numbers to create hype, and that LV wasn't planning on stocking any stores with them again until the pre-orders were filled. I thought that logic sounded rather predatory and surge-pricing.

Great! I initially wanted the Brazza since its longer and has more card holder. But I settled for a pocket organizer since i wanted a smaller piece, but still holds a few cards. I actually put like 10 cards, and the limit is 8. lol. But it works!

Some people say that it looks better online than in person, but of course that's their own opinion. To answer your next question, it covers the whole luggage with the exception of the wheels, long pull-up handle and top handle area. Hope it helps! Hi YYC! to help you, I should say that it depends on your needs and your existing collection. If your just starting I suggest a 55. But if you already have a Pegase or Zephyr 55 get a smaller one, this way you can utilize your collection. I already have a Pegase 55 and Pegase 70, so I went and bought the Horizon in smaller size 50.
Hi Karl, This is a great video. I appreciate seeing the inside and detail to the new edition. Please do a "What's in My Bag". While it seems small, I think a smart packer may be able to use this efficiently with the help of a roomy Keepall. Also, does your Keepall stay put on top of this Horizon 50 if you're strolling through the airport. Thanks again !!! Looking forward to see what fits in it.
Hi Lanita!I should say that you can put a Keepall on top of the Horizon when rolling it in the airport, though it could fall. Lol. But with my Pegase 55, where there is a strap on the front, I usually just strap it up front. You can check out my "How I pack my Pegase 55" video I made, that way you can see what I mean. Make sure to check with the store first of they have it, because some don't. Also they can go off the shelf quick. I got a VIP invitation from my SA at the store a week before the luggage was released to the public. Which helped a lot in getting my hands on this luggage before it rans out (of course they will stock more, but you might need to wait longer), it really depends on the location. Hello Karl! I wanted to take this time to let you know something, if you haven't already discovered it. The top metal handle on the Horizon 50 scratches VERY easily! I have used mine 2 times already. The first time was on a road trip. The second time was plane travel. I placed the 50 in the overhead with the front facing up. When I removed the piece from the overhead bin, the metal handle, right below the push button, had several scratches! So, please be careful when removing it from the overhead bin. I have notified Louis Vuitton of the issue. No other issues with the piece though.

Nice review!! Keep the videos coming. I really like this style, the only drawback for me is that the handles seem quite wide. I'm not sure the width would be very comfortable for me to pull while traveling.

I think this new collection is very stylist and functional. Since you have the Pégase (and like it) would you recommend the Horizon Rolling in a larger size or do you think that it's best to have it as an eclectic smaller piece (like your 50)? If you carry or bring a lot I suggest to go bigger, but if you have bigger luggages already go with a small one. I got mine in 50 since I already have a Pegase 55 and Pegase 70. This way I can utilize all the luggages. Hope it helps!

I use the Pegase as my carry-on and the Keepall as my personal item. I use a 45 rather than the 50, coz it tends to appear a lot bigger when stuffed and almost look like carry-on, and might be a problem with some airlines. Again stay tuned for more videos!
Thanks for the comment Alex! Size wise, since they are both carry-on sizes, I would maximize my space as possible, so I would go with a Pegase 55 rather than a 50. But there is also a Rolling Luggage 55 available. If you want a lightweight luggage, definitely The Rolling Luggage, but if you want that classic look that will go to with previous styles, I'll go with a Pegase. Hope it help! Hi London S! Yes, the 50 fits perfectly on the overhead cabin, though I recommend getting the 55, more storage space and it also fits perfectly on the overhead. I actually sold my 50, and got the 55 eclipse.
It's interesting because I also personally have a mixed feeling about the luggage as well. I am more into the classic look, the handle and overall practicality of the luggage, which is why I'm still in love with my old Pegase 55. I think with the new luggage line, they wanted to save weight which is why they experimented on this one. In person, the handle on the new luggage look very contemporary/modern, which sometimes throw people off and don't go together with other vintage/classic luggage collection that you might currently have. Quality wise though, I think it's still on top, I mean LV is known for making top quality luggages. Only time can tell. Anyways thanks for your question! Hope this helps others out there! Peace!

Hi Jenna! When I travel, I only use the smaller pieces. The most often duo are my Pegase 55 and a Keepall 50 (used to do a 45, but I got away with the 50). I NEVER check in my Pegase 55, which save the luggage integrity. Sometimes they offer to check it in for free, and I always tell them, "I don't think you want to pay more than $3,000 if you damage my bag." Once they hear that they ALWAYS let me take it in. hehehe. I also have a Pegase 70, which is the biggest wheeled luggage that they produced (now discontinued), but I haven't brought it on a plane before. They both came with protectors, but I just haven't used it. For me why cover a Louis Vuitton? It is meant to be enjoyed and shown. Hope that helps! Enjoy shopping!

Cool design, I prefer the modern on the vintage style...and of course the engineering, simple one piece like interior design and the gorgeous padded curves makes it really cute ^-^ ...I would love to see it in other patterns ;
louis vuitton has great products. But why is it that you got them all in the most taccy show off colour. Just get a normal plain colour one becuase most people see that louis pattern as VERY taccy

Hi Jenna! When I travel, I only use the smaller pieces. The most often duo are my Pegase 55 and a Keepall 50 (used to do a 45, but I got away with the 50). I NEVER check in my Pegase 55, which save the luggage integrity. Sometimes they offer to check it in for free, and I always tell them, "I don't think you want to pay more than $3,000 if you damage my bag." Once they hear that they ALWAYS let me take it in. hehehe. I also have a Pegase 70, which is the biggest wheeled luggage that they produced (now discontinued), but I haven't brought it on a plane before. They both came with protectors, but I just haven't used it. For me why cover a Louis Vuitton? It is meant to be enjoyed and shown. Hope that helps! Enjoy shopping!
What is the material of the shell? EXterior leather then pp plastic and titanium from what I heard is that true?
I am not quite sure. The exterior is canvas, trims are leather, and the handle is made of aluminum to decrease weight.

How much was it?
The total price I paid for the Rolling luggage 50 at the San Francisco store with taxes is $2,892.86. Make sure to check with the store first of they have it, because some don't. Also they can go off the shelf quick. Some store also does't have stock yet. I got a VIP invitation from my SA at the store a week before the luggage was released to the public. Which helped a lot in getting my hands on this luggage before it rans out (of course they will stock more, but you might need to wait longer), it really depends on the location. Both of them are actually carry on sizes. 60 is not not. Hope that helps:)

louis vuitton has great products. But why is it that you got them all in the most taccy show off colour. Just get a normal plain colour one becuase most people see that louis pattern as VERY taccy
It just more about aesthetics to me. And it has that vintage/classic look I like.
