    I’ve been looking into dry ice blasting. Looks like an amazing options for cleaning things up without all the disassembly and precautions. Pros and cons like anything tho

      I really wanted to use it on this project. It would’ve been much faster and less dirty. However, it costs quite a bit of money. And if you have rust, you still have to sand blast.
      The walnut shells is a nice intermediate. Still dusty, but not as bad and also not that aggressive. But they are used up super quickly.
      I ended up just sand blasting the frame due to cost, my lack of familiarity with dry ice, and time constraints

      @@OlisGarage we have someone local who does it. Costs $100/hr. Not sure how that compares with other methods but seems reasonable to me. You’re right though, afaik dry ice will deal with just lighter surface rust. I’ve heard of the walnut shells but never looked into it, didn’t think it was widely used
