How to Bid Exterior Paint Job

- Exterior bids are a combination of time and relative danger. In this video we see sophet and fascia boards that required oil based primer on round one and one coat of latex semigloss for round 2. Lots and lots of ladder moves make it a 5 day job.
READING NON FICTION BOOKS through the earbuds ALL DAY LONG to upgrade knowledge and potential. Unless there is someone to chat with on the job!:)
A POSITIVE MINDSET too, which is cultivated with the stance that all that HAPPENS can become ADVANTAGEOUS through INTEGRITY and CHOICE.

Awesome!! Thanks!!
Can you a video on calculating the paint and material
So your bidding time and materials
2500 job just labor maybe more
Brother, what kind of work will you do for this money? just painting? or will you grind, and who will buy the paint, you or the customer?
"grind" hahaha this sounds wrong my friend
@@flowzone1128 You understood me wrong! I wanted to ask how much is your work worth !? and what did you do for this money? and who bought the paint, you or the one to whom you did the work !!! I wanted to know, I also do this kind of work in Russia) thanks to my friend and colleague for the answer!!!!
@@flowzone1128 I'm just writing through a translator! and the translator does not quite correctly translate)
@@flowzone1128 I know that just painting and the artist's work costs $ 400 per day. and this price includes paint. but there are other types of work ... that's what I wanted to know and how much this work costs you!
@@user-uv2vm1yg9m Hey, right I see the translator goes wrong! Well I try for net $350 weather the customer pays for materials or not. Usually I do, in which case I work the extra into the estimate. Roughly adding on 20% to my daily keeps me covered for paint.
$2,100 is only 24 hours labor.
Damn! 2100 in a week? I need to up my prices lol
Hey Adrain, yeah you can do it! I price my bids out based on how many days I think it'll take and go with $400 a day (working solo) plus paint as a baseline. BUT I have been burned many times underbidding this way so I say be generous on you when you predict how many days...
@@flowzone1128 Thanks for the advice. I work solo also, It's my main struggle working for myself because I'm always trying to help people out but often end up with minimal profit. Where are you located? Excellent work thanks again.
Hey Adrian,
Am in Western Mass. But using Craigs List and Facebook Ads I get work in CT and almost as far as Boston, more than willing to drive for how lucrative it can be. Overhead is so low, this is such a great business model... Getting started I actually would camp in the area of a job, actually found I enjoy camping better than hotels! My main issue is keeping the jobs coming consistently, making time for bids, and still having time to cultivate personal relationships. Thanks to my mentor Tai Lopez I use the time driving and painting to read read read using Audible, and this has had a huge impact on my progress both in business and as a human bean.
There are so many awesome conversations with my customers it is rich with opportunities to connect. Good luck Adrian, best wishes with the business.
@@flowzone1128Thank you. Your responses are inspirational, thank you for taking the time to do so. I look forward to seeing more of your videos! I'm always searching for growth and to make a better connection with others.
What's your Website or email contact you ?
hey there! flowzone11@gmail.com @gmail.com
If the paint only coast 200.00 .you are going cheap!!!!!!! Use a quality product
That to cheep guys like you ruin to industry
Was too cheap, I agree next time I’d charge more
Still, I did net good money on that job 300-400/ day or so
Am curious Joey what you’d charge for this job, maybe not just your gross but also net
Thanks
It's cheap if you move slow. Some painters are very fast, efficient and accurate. It's a skill you develop over time.
