In the video, the selector positions for full auto and semi auto are swapped compared to where they should be. The middle position should be full auto.
The default selector order in V3 Hybrid is SAFE-SEMI-AUTO, regardless of replica type it is being installed in. We did it for consistency between our products and to also take into account other V3 replicas, like G36 or MP5k. In AK replicas the firing modes can be easily changed to the proper AK SAFE-AUTO-SEMI order after the installation is done.
This hasn't been tried yet, at least that we would know about it. As long it's the standard V3 (so not Ares' microswitch gearbox, for instance) it should be perfectly feasible, however a the selector plate might require having some material removed from it, to correctly place the selector insert. Alternatively, if there's enough space between the plate and the gearbox, a piece of white sticker could be used instead.
@@derdersoft Hello mate, i can confirm it works, we have just managed to fit it in a JG SA58 Fal, works a treat, the only modification we had to do was to the selector plate. We filed the gap in the plate to make it longer and so the reflector could match the sensors in each fire mode. Took maybe 2 hours all in all, well worth it has transformed the RIF. Well done @PerunAirsoft
"SAFE" isn't really necessary to let you use all the Hybrids functions properly, except when it comes to safety. We when the selector is on "SAFE", the trigger is usually mechanically blocked, but also "underneath" that the Hybrids should "see" that selector position and also be blocked electronically. If you have, for instance, seen in the diagnostic mode that "SAFE" isn't detected by the unit, we would rather recommend to rectify that by trying to move the selector insert a little bit to the left. However, if you're 100% that your current setup is safe and the replica won't fire when on "SAFE", then it can be left like that.
It's fairly tolerant towards grease and oils. The only thing we would advise to take care of, is that there is no excess grease on the sector gear cam that Perun uses for cycle detection, and which is normally used to engage the cut-off lever.
I noticed that the semi and full auto modes were swapped in your final test. Is this reprogrammable to match the authentic AK firemode sequence? (safe-full-semi)
No, it's not necessary. It's only there to limit the play between the magnet holder and the trigger. If in your replica it's a tight fit already, then this sticker is not necessary.
Unfortunately, it is not. The problem is incompatible trigger in an AUG, as well as lack of selector input.

Hi Jakub, I tried to install it on a specna arms g36 v3 gb, I tried 2 times and I get one shoot then red blinking light. Yhen I thought it was the battery, then I changed for a well loaded one (11.1v) and now nothing happens. No light, no sound, nothing… Did I burnt something out ? 😢
Sometimes there is a lot of slack between the magnet holder and the trigger piece. Gluing the sticker or two in, helps reducing that slack, making the trigger feel more pleasant for many people.
@@perunairsoft4811 thank you very much for the quick reply. i'm glad i don't need it, since while installing the unit, the clearence between the trigger and the magnetholder was so tight right away, that i squished the stickers and after filing away material and the clearence still being tight enough to just squish the sticker and scramble it, i got frustrated and left it out. the unit works nice, i just need to move the white selector piece a little, i think, because i can't access programming mode. was installed in an LCT AKMS.
Hi Jakub, I recently brought one of these and I'm very new to teching. In the video you don't include a bladed fuse holder is this because the electronic fuse in the V3 works just as well or would you advise an additional bladed fuse really love the product I've followed every step in this video easily so far top job 👍
Sorry for the late response, we missed the notification about your comment. H3 Hybrid does not need a fuse to protect itself. You could install an additional fuse right behind the battery connector, to help in case of certain short circuit configurations, which would not be "going through" the main mosfet. These are very rare though, and even then in most cases you would notice that something is wrong the moment you try to plug the battery in, because there would be intense sparking when attempting that.
Am I right in thinking I should be able to retro fit this to an AUG if I only want it fixed semi auto? Since the safety is mechanical on the trigger...
Unfortunately not, because the unit might lock up in safe if it does not receive any input from the selector plate. It may turn out, that it's worth waiting for a dedicated solution for the AUG. Perhaps someone is working on something and if everything goes well, it will be announced in the coming weeks.
@@perunairsoft4811 can you explain what happens? Does it have to traverse semi/full auto for some reason? I can just position a sticker over the semi sensor and leave in semi all the time?
@@pinstacamera Mosfet expects that the selector was set to "SAFE" when the battery was being plugged in. That's what the common safety norms and also our manual dictates. Therefore, if it won't see any selector movement after being powered up, it will still think that it's in the "SAFE" mode.

For instance, you could glue or screw some kind of a rod into the plate, which would extend into the battery compartment. It will take some DIY work, but should be feasible. It will also allow you to enter the programming mode without removing the gearbox.
No, or at least not without major modification. There is a lot of material on the gearbox shell, which would need to be removed to make the Perun V3 Hybrid fit. You'd need at least a dremel, preferably a milling machine. Replacing the gearbox shell to a standard V3 might be a cheaper and faster option, though it might too bring some issue with compatibility with other parts (mainly selector parts).

@@berypospa2383 We don't think any of the competitive drop-in mosfets will work in this gearbox. Our alternative, that we're sure would work without any modification, is Perun AB++. It's compatible with any AEG that has standard, mechanical trigger switches.
Hello, I would like to ask for advice. I already installed the unit in GG AK, after test without motor connected, which was OK, then after real shooting test, after pulling the trigger, it sometimes shoots and sometimes it just nothing happens, no matter on semi or full auto, what just could possibly go wrong, tested on 7,4 and 11,1 lipo. What to chceck and go after?

I just finished installing the unit but when i switch to over the auto sensor, the led indicates red and white, and when i cycle back up, only shows red then nothing. Any ideas?
Something closer to 99% would be better, but 70% should work as well. If you'll notice that it does remove the grease, then it's ok. The surface doesn't need to be completely free of any grease. It's just that it's better to have as little of it as possible.

We don't recommend doing that. The transistors and the printed board are sensitive to heat and each time the wires are re-soldered, there is some risk of the components overheating or the soldeing pad coming off the board. It is also advised to limit contact of the unit with the soldering iron, unless you are 100% sure it's properly earthed and there are no charges on the tip which could damage it. Why do you want to change the wires?
@@alessanrobutturini3288 We recommend using what's left of the wire (if possible) to solder the new wires to it, as to not solder on the PCB itself. Regarding the wire gauge, according to experiments we did in the past, such change in wire cross section won't bring much better performance. For instance, we've been comparing 0.75mm2 (which is between 18 and 19 AWG) with 1mm2 (almost exactly 17 AWG) in a mid-performance build. The difference in the rate of fire was only 3%, unnoticable in practice. Also, please note that the 1mm2 wires we use are very close to 17 AWG :)
We are not sure what you mean. What do you mean by leaving the gearbox on full auto or safety? At which point, sometime during installation or after assembly. It would be best if you could ask our technical staff at info@perunairsoft.pl
It's basically the same electronics as V2 Hybrid, but Perun V2 Hybrid is meant for replicas with gearboxes in V2 standard, while V3 Hybrid is for V3 standard.

Doing this to my lct rpk16 soon. The aster in my cyma can get dirty nd act woers but since thisbis magnetic it should have no issues.

Is the "SAFE" position neccessary for it to work? I use only the mechanical SAFE. On the selector side I can only switch between SEMI and AUTO.

Yes, V3 is by defauly set to SAFE-SEMI-AUTO order, by it can be easily switch to SAFE-AUTO-SEMI in the programming mode after installation.

Yes, Perun V3 has adjustable trigger sensitivity, it can also be set to have a very short trigger pull.

It's meant to reduce the slack between our magnet holder and the trigger. No slack is important in making the trigger more responsive.

Yes, we recommend using "ESD-safe" soldering irons, which do not pose risk to the semiconductors on the board.
